I'm totally sold on that. The only problem is, tourists aar allowed only 1 month visa. In such a tremendoulsy big land as such, what can you accomplish in a month? Siberia is the place to be, not Moscow and the rest of the western Russian lands.

I did not know until today, January 17, 2021 that it was possible to take a train that went all the way around Lake Baikal. Judging by the size of the lake, I imagine such a trip to take two days, perhaps three to get around, if adequate time is provided to get off the train for the local sights.

It is possible to set up a tent on the shore next to Lake Baikal.
