I had a buyer that bought the open thong type of Birkenstocks with the fur bottom foot lining. She left the package at the PO Box for like 4 days and Posh completed my order. Then the buyer picked up the order on like day 4 without accepting but again Posh completed the sale. Next day, yes day 5 buyer decides to open the box and wore them. She decided she didn’t like the way the fur was laying. Not only did Poshmark let her open a claim AFTER order was complete, they approved her order to be returned. These were brand new Birkenstock shoes. Was so disappointed in Poshmark as it was totally wrong to have completed the order then let her open a claim on day 5.

I think that scammers should be blocked IP wise to prevent them from making new accounts with the same phone. If they go beyond a new phone to keep scamming that’s just sad

Hey so someone has bought my beats case and some Poshmark support named Alexandria with black hair is asking for my credit card information and what my exact balance on there is and she also said I have to at least have 300$ on my card

I work at USPS and i would say if you are not shipping that much schedule a pick and have it scan by the carrier on the spot or go into the USPS location. A lot of the times this packages get picked up and not scanned and they will work on whatever they're behind on and leave this for last which sometimes can take days or weeks.,.. a lot of the times things get sorted and move to different locations but not scanned until delivered . I would recommend getting things scan always to avoid issues. I know am late but i just got this video recommended lol

nobody is quitting! You are so depressed because sales have up and downs. I agree it's super stressing and time consuming job to do money.

Buyer has three days to return the item, but In actuality posh gives way more like 6 or 7 days to return. You also don’t get the money released in 3days. Been there many times as a buyer

Tips for everyone. When pissed at a customer, do not send them an angry response. I will type out the angry response/feelings into ChatGPT and add “rewrite it professionally”. Works great

The writing has been on the wall for awhile now. Theres a reason technsports and others have phased out or pivoted. Thrift stores have caught on to pretty much every item and in a few years, AI will fill all the gaps in identifying what value something has. In time, they will be applying those same principles to the bin type stores. The only way to resell is going to be getting items before they ever hit any kind of donation bin, which will kill any casual reseller.

At the office don't always track if they are busy. They won't Scan everything but it should get scared that night when it goes to the main office but yes I've seen where it does where it can get lost in the mail without being shipped you never know where it's going to be

She wanted this item so badly and I packed it so well and admits that there is nothing wrong with it and then I get this? It makes me want to take everything I have on Poshmark down. I cannot imagine how they could decide in her favor. I did not need this stress. I don’t care what she says in a review. there’s nothing bad she can say. I don’t care about that. I care about is things would never be returned in the same condition as they are collectible books. Has anyone ever heard of a case like this?

People just don’t have money for fun things like trendy clothes anymore, and the ones that do buy it brand new from the store. I think it’s time to pivot into reselling what people “need”.

Agree. I have a consignment shop. I’ve been doing it for 5 years and only recently have I realized what you are saying❤ in addition, I was training my consignors that I take crap. I still get stuck in the mindset of not wanting to hurt my friends feelings so I say yes to something that I shouldn’t take. I’m getting much better but it’s hard.

Best regards, Support Team Get More Information" then it takes me to a payment method thing. I cant tell if its a scam bc there's no notification on poshmark saying someone bought my item

When will it say sold?

It’s not necessarily that everyone is quitting it’s that wannabe resellers are quitting which is good for the rest of us. It’s more that people have gone back to buying in person like they used to. Things always happen like this. When selling online became popular and stores closed I knew eventually online selling would slow down and stores would start opening again, and that’s what has been happening. You also have people leaving the selling platforms and going through Shopify to get their own website. I’ve seen a lot of people saying that they are leaving the selling platforms to go through Shopify.

I have a question, does the seller have to pay for shipping for the packages or does Poshmark pay for shipping? I want to start on Poshmark but I don’t want to have to pay to ship customers stuff .

100% agree with you, I wish more people talked about this. I feel like so many people paint this picture that is not reality and if you aren't were they are or doing as well as them, it feels like your failing. Nobody talks about how they failed, what they did to adjust or pivot in their business. This is so important and makes others feel not alone when it happens to them. (I have found a few creators that have but majority do not). Thank you so much for talking about this and really appreciate you just being real in all honesty. I just subscribed also :)

I closed my eBay store for good last week. I was doing ok, listing 10 per day and selling 7-8 or so. After really looking at the numbers, it just wasn’t worth it anymore. I was paying EBay about 25% per sale (10% promoted - if you don’t, you won’t get traffic). My thrift had nice things but mostly mid stuff you can sell at $20 but at $8 cost and after all the fees, there’s hardly any profit. The banger stuff was rare to find due to GW keeping it for their online store and whatever slips through gets picked up by other resellers. I tried flea market sourcing to lower my COGS but the stuff there is lower quality and tend to sit. Anyway, bottom line is the reselling business environment right now is not that great so it’s time to pivot to something else. Why force it.
