Fishing the reef after Jimmy drove 11 hours for a 2-3day weather window. it was tuff fishing compared to normal reef trips. Lucky we where supper comfortable in the big tidal 21cc

A quick week day trip for our first catch and cook, the plan was to get a nice reef fish but that wasn't what nature had planned! lucky we love a bit of sashimi!

G'day, first of all if you haven't watched Day1 go check it out first. Day 2 starts with an early morning with a quick 50km run to the grounds where I quickly work out that the good fish are feeding on squid so I stop jigging and quickly tie on the trusty CV60 from INFISH. Hope you enjoy this one as it was such a great day!

We fished our way from Mackay to Percy Island covering about 140km of ground that none of us had ever fished before! slow jigging is my preferred method of fishing and the fishing was hot on this day considering we had to find marks to fish on the way. finding the fish and new marks is made easy with the crazy amount of Garmin gear installed in the boat!

today we run through what bargains and tackle we bought while visiting Tokyo. We had no idea where to go and what shops to visit so all I did was searched fishing tackle stores nearby in apple maps to find them. we highly recommend the Johshuya stores, tackle berry, the casting, and honestly any you can find! the trains are quite easy to use and get around the city. if you rant sure ask someone...

Fishing the islands of Mackay solo in the new boat, the weather was too good not to go for a run. I will talk you through the technique I use to get these fish fired up to eat my vibe! Being new to the Mackay area we have no marks and no sounders yet! That doesn't hold me back from getting out there and finding a feed, it just means I have to fish what I can see which leads me to fish the rocky...

What reel you using lad? Do you recommend?
The gold reel is a maxel transformer. Great reel but expect to replace the bearings every 4-10 trips 🤦🏻♂️

@@Osbox_levrai well tbh the next one just needs to be edited haha. It has some pretty red hot shallow reef fishing soft plastics and vibes along with some jigging. But not filmed yet I’d like some topwater action and more deep water jigging 👌

@@EmbraceTheCourse hey!!! No worries at all mate, I had a pretty tuff day to be honest but I did achieve what I set out to do, (Explore more around that area) Got a nice feed of trout but no red fish wanted to touch an artificial.
@@Bluewater_session_fishing I think we both had the same idea for a trip. We really struggled on the jigs and I’ve heard a few other quality fisho’s had the same issues. We ended up cruising around finding new ground.
Yeah copy, I always find the day of a half moon and or new and full moon to be very very tuff days to fish. Also recently I have started to be able to read the sounder better maybe it’s the big screens helping my vision 😂 haha. Time spent looking for new spots pays off very quickly tho hey!

Hey, thank you. No preference for time of day. But most deffenitly working the building moon either leading into new or full moon. About 2 days before seems to be the sweet spot for us.

Keep it up guys, nice video and if you allow me the sound of the wind, water and your fishing reel is amazing and much better than the music, so there is no need for the music in your stereo and let us enjoy the sound of the nature with you guys (just an opinion).
Thank you so much Mahmoud! Yeah I really enjoy having music on while I’m fishing. But it is a downside to the audio quality for creating videos. I’ll work out the right mix one day haha. Really appreciate the feed back🍻

Hey, cheers. We where all using different jigs tbh but that 100-200grm standard slow pitch jig profile seemed to be the best. Stand out was the infish jigit jigs in 100grm catching 2 of the 4 whole dogs landed
