Wall hung vanity conversion
มุมมอง 1.2K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We are currently renovating our bathroom and wanted to reuse this wall hung vanity. Only issue is we can’t put the drainpipe into the wall so you can see it below. The solution was to build this frame with shelf for it to sit on so you wouldn’t be able to see the ugly pipe below! Thanks for watching! Link to Instagram theweekendcraftsman.nz
Shoe bench build

It was lockdown in NZ… I decided to build this shoe bench that I had been thinking about for a while. It was quite a bit of work but I’m really happy with the way it came out! Check out my Instagram for more! theweekendcraftsman.nz

Ultimate Workbench Build - Part 1: The Frame
มุมมอง 6K3 ปีที่แล้ว
My Ultimate Workbench build series is here, Part 1 is all about the frame. Use of the ply was inspired by Dennis from Hookedonwood th-cam.com/users/HookedonWood (I can only dream of being as good as he is haha). It is super strong and stable and works really well for this. Lumber in NZ can be expensive and of low quality so I think this is a great solution. Link to the wheels below: amzn.to/3e4...

It's a great video for how to use the gun,it's limitations and it's cons(paint splatter). I think I'll just use it for the roof and fence, usually it's roll the roof but it's metal tiles so this cheap machine is worth it because I noticed the time it takes to mask up,set up and actually spray the ceiling I could have cut and rolled it in the same time or quicker but for large interior ceilings I'd give it a crack.thanks
Thanks mate, really good review. I went and purchased one at Bunnings
I have this machine. Opened it up and saw all the gears are plastic and so is the piston. This will fail sooner or later. When it works, results are nice. Just not made to last.
How are these for exterior house painting?
Fantastic, painted my whole brick/plaster house with it
Thanks for the detailed video Cob! I think it's funny how ppl ask you expert advice like you got all the answers.
A paint sprayer is more trouble than it's worth for painting walls, especially in a room that small.
So when You go to use it again ok, do You have to put water in to prime it again?? Or do You just pour the paint in the hopper! & prime first & then switch to spray mode!? 😕🥺🤦🏻♂️
I wish they would invent a cordless one !? With the Hopper! 😕🥺😰😰🤦🏻♂️
VERY VERY VERY GOOD REVIEW, So We Now Do Know We Need The Small Hand Held Even Though We Have Some Outside, & Were Going To Figure Out HOW Mu ch Water We Need & Make Up 4 to 6 Extra Mixes & Just Have Them Ready, Like Empty Coffee Cans W/ Lids,& it Should Work Out Great, & Thank You
I’m thinking about getting one of these for ceilings. I have two prograde units but do t want to use them for just doing a couple ceilings. The ease and shorter hose is attractive to me.
Honestly every video I try and watch that has music playing and usually to loud I end up changing within minutes! I wonder if it’s just me? We don’t need the techno pop lmao
Glad you cared enough to comment though
Bu üründen aldım fakat arıza yaptı yedek parça ve Tamir bakım servisleri varmı varsa nasıl ulaşılır
will this do fine coats for furniture?
Feeling very confident Sir, thank you. Blessings 🖤
All the best
If you swap the tip guard and tip system for a Graco RAC X tip guard, you can use Graco FFLP tips. Change the gun filter to fine which slows the flow right down as you have no pressure control on that unit. This is good for 90% of house paints. You'll find it hardly spits and all, you'll have a lot more control, and there's no overspray hardly, also saves a load of paint.
How do you change the gun filter?
Which fflp tip do you recommend as they come in different variations mate thanks in advance
Have you tried this with gloss paint? I’ve been considering one just for this purpose… not a big fan of my HVLP at mo
Top Video ❤
This is the airless sprayer I was going to buy from Bunnings Hardware but I've watched a few negative videos about it and decided to pony up the extra for a Graco.
How did that unit work out for you have to give stucco multiple codes or can you cover it once?
Great video, I have this model and sprayed my fence with it which was great. Second time I cleaned it out, a leak from underneath the outlet valve occurred. It’s not the hose connections at that end either, it’s definitely coming from under the hopper just under the hose. Any advice on this, has this ever happened to you?
I agree with you, this , sprayer is more suitable for outdoor use, such as fence as you will not notice the splatter issue. I have tried 515 tip and 311 tip, both got the same splatter and going to Bunnings to replace the product to see how is going
Aside from the splatter how does the 311 tip spray?
@@theweekendcraftsman486 Super smooth and looks like factory finish
Sir it can direct from the can the paint in wagner container, no need thinning?
Yes you can, I just like to thin that dulux paint slightly
@@theweekendcraftsman486 what is the reason behind delux thinning sir?
Que chapuza
Using a sprayer you should always strain the paint
Not necessary with that dulux paint
I think the grooves are wonky because you are routing in the 'wrong' direction. It has a tendency to pull away from the fence... I am sure you have figured that out by now though.
no la compren, se daña muy facil, es mejor algo profesional o algo mas aficionado, esta maquina esta en medio, no recomedada
Righto
Até agora não vi ninguém trabalhando com essa
Awesome
Some good points I wish I knew ahead of purchase. I had an air quality meter outside of my spray room and it went red about 15mins after spraying because of the VO2 and particle matter in the air. These devices are great for speed and efficiency, but everyone should exercise caution when using.
Yea always need to run a respirator for sure!
Thanks for the video I'm looking to get one of that model for spraying some book shelves. :)
Awesome, make sure you get a smaller tip like a 310 for that sort of thing as the standard tip it comes with puts way too much paint out for book shelves (I’ve tried it).
Can you use greco tips? @@theweekendcraftsman486
ThxQ. Think I'll stick with brush and roller. I can do a room faster with only a drop cloth.
Maybe a small one, but not when it’s 3 times the size. Trust me, I’ve done both and it’s much faster to spray and a much better finish
@@theweekendcraftsman486 Now when you consider the time it takes to mask everything off very carefully so no over-spray gets under the paper and ruins cabinets, furniture or floors. You also can usually get away with a single coat of primer and a single coat of paint with a roller and you always need at least two coats with a sprayer because you have to thin down the paint with cheap sprayers like you are using.
You should spray on a masking sheet when you start and continue without stopping from that point to avoid the orange peel effect.
Yea that’s always an option
😂😂😂😂
After 6 X of use my regulator seized and rendered this tool useless I own a lot of AEG sad to say I find its durability next to useless You have been warned don't buy AEG please
Mine works great after a lot of use.
AEG has been fantastic for me over 8 years. Absolute work horses. Can't fault them.
Likewise workhorses
Yes I though it curious, too, and was wondering the same thing that M Cox was thinking. Thanks for explaining. Great video!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
The first time I used mine there was so much dust in the air I only used the tip 515. I believed to also had used more paint. May I ask which tip did u use?
That’s a 515, but smaller would be much better in a small room like that
A feence! Awesome!
Quicker to cut in an use a roller inside
Depends on how much you’re doing and how fast you work!
@@theweekendcraftsman486 I bet i could do an entire house at random start to finish with a roller quicker , bet ? 🤣
@@L.E.E-iiLVyo You would save a ton of time on prep and cleanup and not need to do multiple coats on a normal colored wall. People think sprayers are faster, but unless you are painting an empty house with no flooring and no trim, it's not. With a brush and roller, you need a drop cloth and your paint, brush, roller and a paint screen. Push the furniture away from the wall, put down your drop cloth and start painting. My 80 year old dad could probably still out paint anyone with a sprayer while using only a brush and roller in a home that is lived in.
Worst piece of kit I ever used , absolute total waste of life it was beyond bad
Shame it didn’t work out for you.
I agree. Stain worked. Tried to use paint and continuously clogged. Tried everything. Even thinning the paint. Wasted money
Would have loved it, if it didn’t decide to electrocute me 😐
Ouch, must have been faulty
You buy cheap, you get cheap.
Excellent review! Did AEG give you a new one??
They sure did!
Mmm … I find it very messy working like this …
Yep can be sometimes

Nicely demonstrated mate, how many coats do you prefer to use in a room that size
Cheers, usually the undercoat plus two top coats is enough to get a really nice finish
Excellent job mate, thank you@@theweekendcraftsman486
Hi Sir, Is it having a spark fire appearance on power engine area while power on and power off?
I certainly hope not!
What is the difference between the XE and the QS?
I believe the QS is an older model, different blade guard and feet.
@@theweekendcraftsman486 Thanks!
Enjoyed your vid. I noticed that the saw was wobbling around a bit, was that just a wobbly table it was sitting on? I’ll be keeping it permanently in the shed bolted to a solid table, could I remove the rubber on the feet and bolt it down there?
Yea that table was definitely wobbly. Have a look at my workbench build and you can see how it sits in there. It’s not bolted in and doesn’t move at all.
I removed the feet and bolted it to a table. Much safer as this is a home saw not for the jobsite.
*Just completed a big trim project on my house **MyBest.Tools** Performed very well. Also appreciate how easy it is to move, set up and store with the integrated stand. No more cutting wood on my knees.*
Awesome!
Bought same saw 3 weeks ago. Fence had slight twist - 90 degrees at closest part of sled but fence leans 1.5mm over 90 degrees at furthest end of fence. Took back and Dewalt has full replacement in 30 days, which is great. From what I can gather the fence seems to be the only bit of the saw that can’t be adjusted. Got replacement saw - similar issue - this time the fence not 90 degrees along full length of fence - .5mm lean over at top of fence. Such a pity this can’t be adjusted. Now question to just keep it or try another replacement…
That sucks, but 0.5mm is probably an acceptable tolerance in a saw of this price point…
Great review mate
Cheers!
My God that music, no.
Lovin’ it
Please tell me the price details
It will be different everywhere but in NZ it was $530!
@@theweekendcraftsman486 thank you for the price details but in Indian price it's too much for me thanks for your kindly reply
great video! which Tip did you use?
Thanks! Just the 515 that came with it.
Does Wagner Pro 130 work with Behr Marquee (application 0.015-0.019) with a 515 tip or have any issues?
Not sure about the 130 sorry!
Thnx for the tips, bought this unit also. Next week 500m2 to do 🏠
Awesome! Best of luck. With that much to do it would be worth checking the filter regularly. I did a whole smaller house the other day, 4 coats and the filter was wrecked at the end.
@@theweekendcraftsman486are the filters expensive to replace? Also can purchasing different tips give the unit a wide range of use? So say the other half wanted to do a wooden cabinet can you get a more controlled spray that way?
@ How well does it cover stucco.? When painting stucco, do you need to give it that? Many coats four coats in order to cover it properly?theweekendcraftsman486
