I had this problem then realized it was because I typed "Explorer:" before the path to my file. I changed it to "Explorer " (replaced the colon with a space) and it worked. Idk if you're doing something similar but figured I'd mention

It's a simple provable fact that Windows is deficient & Lacking in many ways. The level of abstraction that this video is on is incorrect for this type problem. Windows is a VERY POOR engineering tool. Not only that, but it's now starting to go backwards and de-evolve! What if want to pin a shortcut of File Explorer to the task-bar that opens to C:\ ? I'm sure you can do this, but what is the justification for it being so difficult ? Why did Microsoft break drag-n-drop ? Also, you Cant even drag-n-drop in Microsoft Edge. Also, Windows seems to be quickly becoming the next style Chromebook. Windows has never had reasonable file security, and created the Anti-Virus industry because of its poor file system security. I'm sorry for people who have been social programmed into thinking that Windows is on track. I use windows all the time, but If I needed a real tool, I would use Linux. Or maybe a MAC (I've never owned one). As long as you don't need file security Windows does have a nice GUI. But Windows 10 for non-corporate usage is a TOY.

I appreciate your work but it did not work for me. Then, I used SysTools Outlook Duplicate Remover to fix or delete duplicate emails because I have 1000+ duplicate emails in my Outlook 2016 account. Keep uploading videos. :)

i created a shortcut for cs go from the steam library, it went to the desktop. and after changing its path as you've shown. it adds google chrome's path in it. and there's no pin to the desktop option when i right click on it.
Basically, all you have to do is add "Explorer" to the "Target" field in the "Properties" window of the shortcut that you want to add to the Taskbar.

Nice!! Seems like it works for opening programs too. And you can change the icon back in the settings after it changes to the Explorer logo.
