My dad gave me his old lenses this was one of them with the 25mm extension tube to take it to 1:1 magnification and it sure does take some fantastic photos adapted to my r10. I got some fantastic shots just messing around.

Nice comparison. I have the HBM 1/4 and found that it kills the contrast too much and is too soft for regular use. From your video, even with the compression, the black satin 1/4 is definitely sharper and has better contrast while still having nice halation. I just ordered one!

I hadn't used one of my favorite lenses for over a year because I thought the aperture was stuck. When I checked the lock and it "magically" started working again I just sat there stunned and in disbelief that it was so simple. Thank you so much!

I just bought a Urth FD to E-mount and couldn't make the aperture to work (it was stuck at 1.8), after understanding the mechanism logic from your video I saw that I hadn't mounted the lens correctly, and now it works. The urth adapter has a bypass ring that controlls the apperture (it doesn't go all the way to 16 for some reason but it's fine at around 8 or so). Great video :)

Didn’t work for me with my Sony a7 ii. I set it up as you described and when I hit the shutter a pop up says “Movie recording starts with MOVIE button. Still image shooting is invalid in this mode. It is only available in modes other than movie mode.” Any thoughts?

Success. I dropped my Nikon 85 mm F1.8 g while attached to my D610, and thankfully, the camera was fine, but the aperture switch on the lens stuck while stopped down. After sleeping on it and thinking about the cost to repair or replace the lens, I thought this had happened to someone before me, and my TH-cam search brought me here. I unscrewed the 4 lens screws holding the mount in place, and after removing it, I was able to manipulate the aperture switch freeing the stuck blades, and now all is well :) Thank you for the inspiration!

Tengo un problema con mi lente 50mm lo que pasa es que los puntos rojos no están alineados y por mas que e intentado hacerlo no puedo es imposible, y por ende no lo puedo ensamblar en mi canon ae1, alguien sabe como puedo solucionar ese problema?

I just received this remote. Mine too, only takes 1 image with the remote on continuous, unless the camera itself is set to continuous shooting.

Hello. I have a Canon lens that seems to have the blades stuck. It has electronic iris control. I mean, no ring like the Nikons. I have to push the camera buttons to have the iris open or close. Do you know how to repair this? Thank you!

I first watched this video over two years ago when I was selecting an intervalometer and watched it again for some clarification because the "manual" was less than clear. I have just watched it again because I will be using it again to photograph the night sky. Even though my camera has an intervalometer, you have to touch the camera to trigger it and I prefer to do it remotely. Out of all the instructional videos I have watched on using this, yours is the best.

can i question about this lens in sony e mount camera i used this lens in sony a7r3 but result is not good the lens can't focus more than 1 meter away, I tried the settings in the camera menu such as what focal length is used for manual focusing of the lens, but the result doesn't work, please tell me the settings so that the lens can work normally like in your video

Hey, I found this very helpful, I had mine setup as and tested out continuous shooting doesn't work in single shoot on the camera, camera has to be in continuous, I need to make a cheat sheet for this, I will of forgotten it by the time I get to use it lol

My N1 setting doesn't use the same exposure time for all shots, the middle one doesn't wait as long as the others. Any idea why?
