Nice work have a good day.
Great to see the high ground! I’ve been wondering about it. What a view indeed!
Thanks!
That’s if you are working on something the door doesn’t shut on you we got a 335
Wow what a view!
Thanks!
That’s a beautiful place up on the hill! Looks like it will make some decent hay as well.
Thanks!
What a fabulous view you have there, I guess I understand why folks would want to build a house on the opposing hill, but I know what you're saying about having a house in your view! Good luck on the hay, thanks and I hope you have a good week.
Thanks!
Pretty view up there. It would be ashamed to ruin it w/ a house!!
lookin good sir! put up 51 rounds and 130 squares myself so far! keep it up
Thanks - great work in the hay…👍
Nice view from up there!
@@farmerpete Thanks!
Looks like a wagon load of money to me!
Yes!!!
Awesome video. I'm getting ready to cut my hay with my Ford 3600 diesel tractor and Ford 501 sickle mower. Can't wait 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Great review! Thank you for taking the time to do this. Looking into getting one for my 5075e but was worried about having enough pto hp.
I've used a Lely Gemini which is the previous model to yours for decades. I was taught to keep the short side to the outside of the field and only make left turns. It seems much less risky and less likely to get caught in a fence row, etc.. Keeping the wide side to the outside and turning right just seems backwards to me. I'm not saying it doesn't work for you but I think it's far easier to keep the wide side inside. Good video.
This Vermeer/Lely only pivots to the right. Thx for watching.
Mighty fine looking hay! New wagon seems to be doing the job.
Thanks!!!
Enjoyed your video have a great day.
Looks like high quality hay! Well matched setup!
Thanks!
Looked like great stuff! New wagon seems great, I’d say that was a good find!
Thanks!
The MF 1105 and JD 348 square baler does a nice job, like the kicker and the wagon, too. I hope you had a nice weekend.
Thanks!
Enjoy your videos. You can almost smell the hay!
Thanks!
Pretty rare to be getting second in May. Looks like everything is working well.
Knock on wood…🙂. Thanks for watching!
Brilliant camera work & a stunningly beautiful farm. You're living the dream without any doubt & you're a great inspiration to me. It's an honour to have seen your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your life with the world 🐝
Beautiful!
Really like seeing that MF50 out there! Couldn’t agree more on the Perkins diesel. Does yours have ground speed PTO to run that rake?
It has ground speed PTO, however the manual for this rake requires 540 PTO. Don’t run it that fast though. I had a Ferguson rake that required ground PTO.
@@HumbleHaymakers That makes sense! My 135 has ground speed, my other two Masseys don't. I used to have a Massey 20 rake, which was clearly designed for ground speed (I never had a manual). When I got the 165 without that option, I would run it as slow as I could manage - but I think that ultimately did in the bearings on it. I was looking for an excuse to trade up, anyhow 😅. But that JD looks like it runs well! How is it to take on/off? (That was my biggest complaint with the 20. Back in my days of only having the 135... exhausting on a baling day)
@@windrowfarm it’s not bad to get on/off on the Model 50 with a true cat 1 3pt hitch.
You can almost smell fresh cut hay! Hope you get it all done!
Thanks!
Wind rows very small with very light but good quality crop
Very nice no hay making here still early. Have a great day.
Good to see the Massey Ferguson 50 out there doing the raking. I like hearing the old 50 running and I like the side delivery rakes, haven't ever used the 350 before, but it looks like it's doing great. Thanks, good luck and have a nice weekend!
Thanks!
Hope you get it baled before the party starts.
Me too - thanks!
On the landside the was a heel piece that was bolted on at the end as a wear pad to extend its wear life i have have a model c-20 plow i change to steel bottoms from the cast bottoms which would very simliar to what you have it is alot easier to get the parts and cheaper
Wow! Really interested to see how this turns out. Hope you had a good weather week.
Thanks!
While i do love the older garden tractors, owning a GT2544. a newer (as of 20 years old) MTD made cub garden tractor will do these jobs with ease. MTD bought cub in 1981, the 82 series, cyclops, 2000, 2500, and 3000 series garden tractors were all made under MTD! Up until last year, cub cadet has retained their original design of shaft drive to a heavy duty cast iron rear axle with a strong hydro, nice big frames, power steering, etc… My point is most of the greatest garden tractors from cub were made under MTDs ownership.
Hello, would you happen to have Banjo part numbers for those quick connects? There are several different types.
Your Massey looks nice and clean inside.
Do you know how much the 100 loader will lift? I am looking at a MF 135 with a 100 loader and I have a milling machine I need to lift.
i call it the Glock (gen2-3) of chainsaws, one of the most reliable saws made! did the carb and muffler mod first. next got rid of the safety bar and chain, put on the 16" WoodlandPRO ArborMAX 3/8" LP bar, man night and day difference!!! safety 1st and do work! 👍👍
Good luck with your hay. At the start of the week a week if sun was predicted. Were getting wind and thunderstorms daily!!!
Thanks!
2nd cutting in May sounds wild. We've got a 5 or 6 day dry weather window starting tomorrow. Time for me to start knocking some down.
Good luck with the haying…👍
2nd cut! We can’t get 4 dry days in a row up here in SW PA. Rained yesterday, beautiful today and tomorrow, and rain again on Wednesday. Maybe after Wednesday will get 4 days. 🤞it’s in Gods hands. Thanks for the videos.
Love that giant Massey. We use Climax Timothy too.
Thanks!
Good luck with the hay! Can't get a dry window long enough to make hay here.
We’ve had some really expected rain here complicating haying too!
Thats awesome we have not even cut first. Just looked weather 2 days sun then rain again. Enjoyed your video have a great day. Thsnkyou your time make these.
Got the Krone 2801 cutting good, the MF 1105 sounds like it's running great too. My son has the MF285 with the 318 Perkins engine, it does a nice job too, doesn't have a cab but he did get a canopy put on it. Well good luck on the rest of the hay season, I hope all goes well, have a nice week!
Thanks!
Keep plugging away. Awesome video as always 👍
Thanks!
I have a 5209 New Idea disc bine. Ive tried it a few times and I can go as fast as 22 miles per hour..as long as the blades are sharp.......a heavy crop makes no difference. It does a great job ! Problem is.....the length of the field. Always nearly coming to a stop to turn. At 0:46 me cutting hay at 22 miles per hour.....with a 90 horse tractor. th-cam.com/video/5O6dI-TEB3c/w-d-xo.html
Barn is a pleasant place to ride out a rainstorm.
Yes it is!
Nice to see someone who knows how to mow, right revs & speed. Lovely, thanks for the video. 👍
I was able to make 5 round bales this week. It has been wet in South Louisiana also.
Hermosura de massey 1105 !!
Could be a challenging hay season here in the East this year.
Seems like in the mountains around here, it’s always a challenge to get a haying window without a pop-up thunderstorm. Thx for watching…👍
I have Massey sicklebar mower. Used it for the first time today. I had replaced about 12 sections. Straighten / adjusted the gaurds, hold Downs. Put new wear plates. Went to mow and it just kept wadding up and missing a bunch. You make it look easy sir.
You’ll get it. Via your top link, tilt the cutter bar up a bit, make sure the grass is totally dry, run 540 PTO rpm’s, go fast enough the hay will fall off the bar quickly, but not so fast it will clog or cause the breakaway to open. The MF manual is pretty good at instruction, you can download or order a copy online from Agco.
Mine has run the last 2 years. Cutting cedar post and stave's. Only repairs are a dozen clutch drums and 3 maybe 4 pull cords
