Great setup. I have this, love it.

I think Coachman need to step up their game. Wood is too dark, shower too small, front windows too small and the curtain fabrics are nasty. The control panel is tech from 1980s with no app connectivity. The fruit bowl sink looks nice but isn't practical, wet hands dribble all over the counter when turning the tap off. The light switches are in silly places and it's a guess which light every time you use them and the lighting is pretty poor too. Not sure why they've switched to the thetford fridges, personally I think the dometics were better and looked much nicer. Also, the rear panel design means that water drips off the brake light onto the ledge below and it's like chinese water torture through the night. All a bit dated and frumpy and lacking modern tech. Its a shame because the build quality is fantastic, just let down by poor design. I'm upgrading my 2021 845 and going for a Swift Elegance instead. It addresses all those issues and is a much nicer and more modern van. Catch up Coachman! Forgot to mention the taped seams on the walls that peels off 😠 @coachmancaravansltd

Don’t like the layout with the side couches/bed style.

The Vw Amarok is now a rebadged Ford Ranger last couple of years with cosmetic changes and odd engine as agreed, engineered and built by Ford alongside the Ranger then shipped out to Vw to sell as their own which it is not. (At least Ford design, engineer and build their own European Explorer & Capri EV’s on shared Vw battery chassis - Vw pay-off for having Ford designed and built combustion vehicles including Transit sold as their own.) 😉

But you cannot get to the top bed when the bottom is made into a double....no room for the ladder. ouch.😊

Are you able to tell me if it has any additional protection on the underside of the floor facing road? Also how winterised is it. What is the insulation like? Will I be able to go away all year?

First of all, your video production quality is top shelf! I was extraordinarily surprised to see that you have a relatively new channel. You both come across as well seasoned at video production. Your presentation chemistry and light humor make the video a joy to view as well. Then, as the cherry on top of the dessert, you presented a camper that checked all the boxes for what I've wanted. Rear lounge, spacious garage, generous bathroom, front seating, and drip down beds. I only wish that you'd listed the current pricing. Finding the price is easy to remedy. Thank you for an overall terrific video! I've definitely subscribed and look forward to seeing more of what you both do. 💐

Single axle yet when talking about alde wet heating system they show a twin axle! Only Swift could be do useless .

Ive got one of these on a 2021 and not much different. I love it but it has its downfalls that still havent been improved on the 2024 model. Poor lighting in the bedroom. No corner dressing table in the bedroom for the good lady wife (i hear this gripe.m every day). No sockets by the beds. Shower is too small and my wife has cut her foot on the folding door several times. Elddis/Compass managed to fit a good size shower on the same layout. All the light switches in an odd place and we play the gmae every time on which switch does what! You would also think that this day and age coachman would have a more modern control panel that can aslo be controlled through an app. All things i didnt expect from a Coachman but the quality is def above that on my previous Compass.

The "vision plus solar regulator" is not the solar regulator. That's for the TV! The solar regulator is in the cupboard above the sink. Anyway, compared to a Basecamp 2 this is a cluttered mish-mash of a caravan. It will be about as popular as the Basecamp 6!

I want a central bed on the back wall, that is 5’ or as near to 5’. But I will not buy a caravan with an L shaped front. It makes the most uncomfortable bed, with bits of cushions making the bed, that idea went out of fashion many years ago. I want 2 benches either side of the chest of draws, we leave our van on a site overlooking the sea, so we want to be able to take in the view, it’s just beautiful. If you sit across the van with your feet up, if your tall your head is all in the curtains, if you sit the other end of the bench across the main window you block the view for others looking out. We don’t go away on holiday to watch TV, for the amount we watch we use our iPads. I also want light wood work and light work tops, I cannot stand black work tops, they went out of fashion years ago. The other awful thing as I understand it, is there is no choice of materials for furnishings other than all leather, who wants leather, that also went out if fashion many years ago, it’s hot in summer you stick to it and it’s cold in winter.

Really love the kitchen, the washroom and the Captain Marvel decals on all the new Basecamp models. In 12 month's time, I'd be interested however, to see how many 3 models are purchased.

What is different about the elite over a standard celebration x850 ? Is it literally just the side decals and elite badges ? I ask as I see nothing actually different over the standard challenger x850 ? Or did I miss something extra ? Thank you in advance

Still ……no heated mirror in the bathroom……really the most obvious omission as practically the mirror steams up and is useless . You can do all sorts of fancy upgrades but let’s have heated mirror so it’s actually useable ? The wardrobe storage looks less than before . The bed is on the wrong side of the 845 as bed head view out of the caravan is blocked by the kitchen and makes interaction with those in front of the caravan problematic 🤷‍♂️ why change the bed layout which works ? But new kitchen looks good and at last a proper towel radiator that might work compared to the hopeless snake version in pre 2023 models . Not sure about the lack of door to the under front bed lockers with just option of having to lift whole seating cushion to get access which is a bit of a pain ? Why not fit e and P as standard like the Buccaneer?
