    does the torsion bar have to come out in order to change out the lower control arm?

      Yes. One of the bolts that go the bushings on the control arm is behind where you pull the torsion bar out.

      @@10PetersonTyler thats exactly what I was thinking. I got an 03 ram 4x4 and im replacing a lot of the front end, I already done the steering rack and pinion, as well as both CV drive axles and sway bar ends, all thats left is the shocks and both control arms, and the sway bar bushings.

    Serious question. Setting machine onto back rack is brilliant. What are the repercussions of doing this as far as fluids go. Maybe a dumb question but do all the fluids have to be drained? I want to use this method using the winch. I don’t own a fancy skid steer jack😉.

      Not a dumb question. There is a fuel shut off on the side of the tank. Turn that too off before lifting the atv. I think the atv is meant to sit on the back rack. All 4 wheelers seem to. If you are planning on replacing the oil seal like I did I would suggest draining the engine oil before you lift the bike up. Let me know.if you have any other questions.     Thank you for this video. I'm changing out the Catalytic Converter on my '03 1500 and need to remove the passanger side Torsion Bar so that i can drop the front end exhaust pipes out and get the new Catalytic Converter welded on and reinstall everything. This helped me out immensenly seeing how you got the Torsion bars out. 👍👍 Cheers from the Land of Desert Tumbleweeds and Roadrunners where Rust is a myth haha have a good day bud! (New Mexico)

    These tents are such a pain to move. Good idea will do this. I though about driving our tractor in and lifting with the bucket and backhoe and walking it but this maybe safer.

    Dont forget to tell everyone you unhooked the bolt on the lower control arm? Witch at that point you mazle just change the control arm and be done for life lmao you missed a bunch of videoing of all the important things that have to come out tonchange

      Hi Ian, thanks for watching. I didn't need to remove the lower control arm bolts. The bolt for the lower control arm is actually behind where the torsion bar fits into the lower control arm on these trucks. There for in order to remove the lower control arm you would have to remove the torsion bar first. There was nothing wrong with the control arm, and still isn't. Have a great day.

      Arborist "Bull Rope". This rope is 7/8" Dia, and rated for 32,000 lb. It's a little overkill for the job, but does the trick.

      @Dark Canuck im doing my 02 in the spring. Its not very rusty underneath for 19 years old but the box and cab corners are shot. Old truck left to die that i saved is going to be my work bench. Building a flat deck for it. Its a regular cab.

    When I am cutting firewood, the cleanup takes more time than the cutting does, and we can't burn the limbs and debris where I live, so I try to use as much as I can for firewood, down to about 2" I am cutting it for my own use so can use any size that will fit my stove. No pine though all hard woods.

      It all makes heat. The small stuff would take lots of time to cut, but I imagine it feels good to put it in the fireplace. Have a great day

      @@10PetersonTyler The small stuff cuts fast with my chainsaw. almost as fast as I can walk along the tree, once I get to the bigger parts it slows down a bit. and the smaller stuff does not need to be split. Anything under 3 to 4 inches I don't split , they make nice fire logs , and with my big glass window on the stove I can see them burning, like a picture of a fireplace.

They advised me to get an aftermarket Universal joint as the Yamaha one if very expensive.       Petro Canada Hydrex AW 32 hydraulic oil. We are in Canada, so I run this machine in the winter doing snow removal a. This is a winter weight oil. Let me know if you have any more questions. Have a good one

      @@10PetersonTyler oil with AW is not recommended, MV oil or all season oil, Princess Auto has what you need, about $50 for 5gal pail.

      @@10PetersonTyler Yup. Just a warning. Terrible stories I heard. Most of them are somewhere along the lines of the paper inside the filters somehow breaking off and getting sucked into the engine causing the engine to seize and blow up. Scary.

    I'm so glad you left those plastic snow shovels lay in your truck. Plastic snow shovels look pretty and all hanging in the store. But if you're planning on moving some serious snow a metal coal shovel will do the job every time.
