Went to one of these hillclimbs in the70's security was kind of lax , went to take a photo at the starting line got a face full of dirt.

Too easy, and pretty lame compared to the European versions.

Always loved watching from the top of the hill. They came up damn quick.

I remember when this hill was damn near impossible to climb, couple of degrees short of 90 degrees for the last 50 ft or so. Kinda like when a dunk in basketball was a big deal. Now, like a dunk, not so much so.
