You will need to make the images the same resolution, or crop them to that resolution.

@popejohnpaulvandamme6410 that's what I figured out. It's not practical. I wish the option existed in Zwobot. Hopefully, future updates will change the workflow. This could be such a great tool for social media.

Did you make sure the Keta module was on top of the ABC module in the player signal chain?

I have used both Kaiber and Runway before. I start by creating an image with MidJourney and then animate it using Kaiber or Runway.

Hi! Since making this video I’ve realised that the Rec device often won’t work very well, so I would recommend using OBS to record your output instead. It’s free and there’s loads of tutorials on TH-cam to help get the right settings.

Hmm not sure I will have to experiment with that, but I have asked if there is any way to have a Video module that would operate like the image one, which I think would allow you to use a video as an effect layer.

Hi! I would recommend using JPEGs for images and convert any videos using a MJPEG codec. That should help with performance. Also try not to use any other third party plugins in the same set and disable any ZwoBot devices when you’re not using them (using the yellow Ableton device on/off button).

You could also check that your computer isn’t running any background processes. Try to not have any other programs open at the same time.

Nice thought. I think the only way to do this would be to screen record the text being stretched and then import that as a video into deck B and try and blend it with the other video using blend modes. But then you’d lose any sound reactivity or beat syncing you have on the Stretch and ABC modules.

I’ve asked the developer if this is possible and whether there’s an update he could implement that could do it.

Nice idea! I just tried it and it works using PushHacker with the Push, so I imagine it would also work with other controllers using Ableton's midi mapping function. I've got a video on live performance where I go into how you can use PushHacker to map ZwoBot parameters to the Push.

Just to make sure that there's no audio compression from the ZwoBot recording, but to be honest the audio has always sounded fine, so it's probably not necessary. However, I now mostly record using OBS, as I've found the ZwoBot recorder doesn't work when there's a number of devices being used.

It depends how many modules you have running at a time. Just running a few should be fine. I can have loads running but my laptop is fairly high spec I think.

Yes, I haven’t actually used this module for live performance yet, so had multiple buttons on my push mapped to each individual FX device on/off button. I’ll be using this for my future sets though.

Hi! Thank you! I have found that converting videos to MJPEG format helps with that. You can use Shutter Encoder for it, which is free.

Hi there. For images you can use the Image module instead, which has a setting to ‘Fit to aspect ratio’ that be turned on or off. I’ve got a video on this here: th-cam.com/video/zb7S1WQEoVc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rRJq1RhZJc7zlMNG I’m not sure this is possible with videos though, so you would have to edit the aspect ratio of them in some external video software and export them to be whatever final aspect ratio you want to use (I always find 16:9 is best, as it matches most screens and projectors).

Unfortunately it seems like the the Image Fx can only load 99 files because after showing File 99 it jumps to file 10 and keeps getting stuck. Any solutions? Thanks again for this great, your music is pretty dope aswell ;)

Thanks! It might be best to edit the images into a single video if you’re using that many using external video editing software. That’s a lot of images to process!

One other thing about loading images into ZwoBot - it’s better to use JPEGs wherever possible, as they’re much smaller files than PNGs. I tend to always convert any PNGs to JPEGs before using them in a set. Any transparency you lose can be resolved by using a blend mode.

Hi. As far as I’m aware you can only have 2 videos on screen at the same time (one in each deck), but I think you could use the Image module to have multiple images. You can switch between as many videos as you want though. If you wanted to have multiple videos on screen at the same time, you could use an external video editor to do that and export it as 1 video, then load that into ZwoBot.
