มุมมอง 10K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Comparing Timmy, Simble, Tumnus, Tubescreamer, BB Preamp, Dude, SL Drive pedals through a Fender ‘68 Custom Princeton Reverb. Tested using 4 different levels of distortions. For each level of distortion, both neck pickup and bridge pickup were considered. In addition to comparing these overdrive pedals, the video may be useful to evaluate this amp as a pedal platform. So Nice solo (Summer Samba by Stacey Kent)
มุมมอง 1074 ปีที่แล้ว
Guitar version of the saxophone solo from the song So Nice (also knows as Summer Samba) sang by Stacey Kant th-cam.com/video/9ZV2ySXezEU/w-d-xo.html I’ve tried my best to transcribe every note of the solo by ear, but the original has much more dynamics that are hard to replicate on guitar! Hope you enjoy it anyway! For recording, I’ve used my Fender Stratocaster American Professional, Wampler T...

Tumnus and timmy
The best test of pedals I've heard. Simple single notes and chords done the same for each pedal. The character of each pedal can truly be heard and compared. Some are very tame others really color your tone. The SL drive gets a good 70's rocking Marshall tone, but I wouldn't use it in other contexts. The BB and Dude impressed me the most. The Tumnus is much like a boost. All usable sounds, depending on what you want.
Thanks for your feedback and opinion! That’s exactly why I made this video!
Thanks for this. A really useful comparison and very helpful in my quest. I liked the Tumnus best and then the BB Preamp.
Clean tone. Really!
Nice demo. The Timmy's treble and bass knobs should be at zero for transparent boost. Essentially they work as a cut, i.e. to cut bass you turn the bass knob up.
Thanks for the explanation!
what do you think of the tumnus stacked with the sl drive
I will try it! Tumnus before or after?
@@frajem tumnus before but feel free to try both!
great demo, thank you
I liked the SL pedal and BB preamp most for some reason and the Tumnus was cool too....Tumnus had a midrange thing I liked.
Tumnus sounded the most natural to me. Timmy is amazing but a bit bassy. Surprised on how good the Simble sounded. Greta demo man!
Muy buena,podrías subir los acordes?
Thank you! Here are the chords: tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/bebel-gilberto/so-nice-chords-1170269 . However, I might have played some of these chords wrongly during the solo, or else the correct chords are not exactly these. Any advice is welcome :)

Timmy sounds best until 12 o'clock
Thank you for your comment! I’m interested in how people use this pedal. As standalone or in combination with a specific type of pedal?
@@frajem Now i use Spark mini into Timmy into Blue Note and the overal sound is soft and sweet. I am going to keep BN, which sounds softer than Timmy, and try to replace the other two with 3rd pedal of my choice. You see, for my needs BN is a keeper, but if you prefer rougher edges of low gain sound f.e. for crunchier sound signature, you may like Timmy more.
Michal Dlouhý I didn’t know the Blue Note, i should give it a try. I thought that already Timmy was soft and smoothing things out as a last pedal in the chain, but now I need to try this Blue Note. Thank you.
