Transmission Reception
A rather dark and haunting kind of melody from Club Maintenant's new Existential Musings album. A very early silent film sequence from "The Fall of The House of Usher" adds to the flavour.

Here's a song from Club Maintenant's Existential Musings album. A great little piece of very early silent film seems to fit right in.

"I like my Maoris darker skin" Sorry govner, we wear face paint in future to be good Maori ! 🤭
36.40 Hawaiians killed Captain Cook, not faraway Maori, you wally !
Whata losd of rubbish ! 🥴
No one cares how the 70s were the good old days
Youngsters will be baffled how nobody's told us about their "journey".
The seventies were a glorious era, what I would give to go back to those wonderful days and growing up as a young child .
The Conservatives MPs would have to join Reform UK not the other way round. It would mean the end of the Cons but thats good.
okay....??
Showwadd😅ay shocking
When life was so much better
What a load of 💩 all the acts were bad😩👎
Great to see the old ATV screen again
I was 15...I'd go back in heartbeat 💓
I was 8 years old and I’m 56 now 😳
I miss the world when it was sane and real.... God... What happened?......
Mickie Most is a tough critiquer. A good one though.
Spectacularly atrocious
It’s kind of ironic that the worst act won. They were all bad except the Paisley girl but even for the 70s she was old fashioned.
Great to see this, takes me back to the great old days. Yes it is dated but the format is the same but the bands, artists far better than a great deal of the dross we have to put up with today.
Bril..Gigged with them in them days...10 out of 10..But that's just me...Lol
Which act?
@@karlbarlow Five a side..Great band.
@@GlitNeck Yes they were, it was their drummer's son that sent me this actual show on DVD. Must have been about 10 or 12 years ago now.
Butlins hopefuls
Ha, I played a few seasons at Butlins in the 1980s. You were right.
I see you posted videos of new faces, any chance you can find a certain episode?? My grandad was on it and trying to locate it
Hi Laura, I was only able to get a hold of this episode. If you do a search for your grandad's name or the name of his act on IMDB, you might be lucky. Otherwise there are quite a few You Tube videos of New Faces now to search for him. I hope you find the episode you're looking for. Apparently Bob Monkhouse has quite a collection of episodes, though he (or his estate) hasn't made them public. Good luck.
I was 13 that year remember this great show in colour
None of them were amazing, but jesus christ I think they got robbed because Mickey Gunn who was the winner was terrible.
Yup, agreed.
They were far better judges than today, who Britain got talent say there all good when there rubbish, new faces judges were 1000.times better than the ones you see today ,!
Sweet 16 in 76😂
I was 6 and i can remember it like yesterday 😢
Mickey Most - the original Simon Cowell 😜
I think Simon Cowell was in shorts when this was aired..
I was 11
All the acts on here were destined to never go further than clubland. And they probably knew that deep down, but at least they got onto the telly, which was a big thing back then.
That's all we were trying to do, yes. Get on telly for a bit of exposure and fill the diary.
That so called comedian was truly awful, the whole thing was creepy, I have no idea who the guy in the black jacket is but he is about 20 years to late to judge something like this, the guy in green jacket? No idea, and that tool bag Micky Most, what a bell end, remember he is the guy who signed the god awful Racey, and the totally weird Joe Los coming across as some kind of perv, oh and the host is a condescending wanker..
I was 15 when this was aired I loved it you can't beat the old programmes what they put on now is a load of rubbish we just don't watch tv anymore because of how bad it is bring back the old programmes back
Yes I have to agree, we have lots and lots of channels all putting out the same mundane crap.
I be 12. Remember watching New Faces preferred Opportunity knocks. When TV was TV. I miss 1979 early 80's
I so wish we had these days and our childhood back.
When Andy was 9 years old. 😂
No female judges in those days!
Wish I was 11 again ! 😊
Remember this program as a 10 year old 🤣🤣
Wonder what they would have thought of Harry Hills comedy back in the say
I doubt he'd have made the show. Britain wasn't ready for his type of comedy back then.
Everyone's tan has faded fast after the hottest summer for decades..The commedian was average
I remember that Summer so well for a few reasons. Not only was it so hot that I couldn't breathe, but I was so broke my shoes had worn out and I couldn't afford a new pair. Ahhh the folly of youth. Yeah, none of us rated the comedian either.
I was just 7 years old when this was on
Proper talent, and five male judges omg. I bet the dei crowd would be crying in their humus.
I've not seen that intro for nearly 50 years!
3 months after this 11 year old me and my parents migrated to Melbourne, Australia. Still remember the chemistry set I got for my Christmas present that year from Hamleys.
Jack Parnell was to die of cancer in 2010 although he got to 87.
Guitarist was great 💪
Yes he was. Certainly underrated by the panel.
you're a porn star, you're a porn star. and i know that you'll go far. cos you're a porn star.
9 years old , two weeks from Christmas . Take me back 😢
As a 16 year old in 1970 I'd forgotten how crap this show was rubbish acts and oily presenter today is a thousand times better
Seriously..are you related to Ken?
Tried it on with his bank manager. It didn't work.
Not to be to critical we did accept rubbish way back when! BGT is so much better these days. Even though I am not a great lover.
I've only one criticism of BGT and Cowell's other shows, and that is that the judges seem to be the stars of these shows. The acts pushed into the back seat.
