Givens Farms

Givens Farms is located in western South Carolina, and is a 4th generation farm. The farm has become very diverse throughout the years, from farming hogs to growing cotton, corn, and peanuts. On this channel, you will see what goes on a family owned farm in the south-east United States on a day-to-day basis. Hope you enjoy the videos
Cotton Is Going In The Ground
We are on track to finish planting cotton very early this year to what we are used to. Today we started planting cotton in Montmorenci. As well, we finished up planting peanuts.

After almost two weeks, we are back and able to pick so more cotton. Busy few days on the farm here in Williston with building a new shed, spreading cover crop and picking cotton.

Today we got frank going on the disc in Montmorenci. Came back and tried to tackle the combine, but quickly realized it's a two-person job, so starting getting the sprayer ready for the upcoming season. THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!

Today we got the disc moved across the ditch to finish discing hard spots for striptiling. I got the planter almost ready to go to the field. THANKS FOR WATCHING!

Never seen cotton harvested. Why is their rows skipped it looks like? Is it somehow you harvested or skip to plant. Hope all is well 👏
its easier turning around on the ends if u skip a few rows when picking :)

Thanks you for the video how was the hard freeze we just had Christmas Eve and Christmas Day on the cotton y’all had left it got down to 10 degrees up here in Bethune South Carolina
wasn’t to bad. spent 2 hours jumping the picker off and then had the feeder belt freeze up solid. i’ve picked about 7 acres today😂
I'm in the upstate regon of south carolina. I hope you are able to keep the farm going for many decades to come. I've seen so many farmers quit farming and then their kids or grandkids sell out to developers. Take care and may your grandfather rest in peace.

Hey man. New sub here. I’m so sorry about your grandpa. My great grandma passed in July and she’s been around in everything my whole life lol so it was hard to lose her, so I feel ya. But anyways my buddy just found your channel and then showed me and we’re excited bc you’re the first YT channel we’ve found that’s good anywhere near where we live.
