Why did it fail??
But expect from that I bloody love this car
Fun little cars 👍🏻
Also I had to do a emergency stop at a roundabout not even a joke my left wheel went into the car
Oh no I hope no one was injured in the accident.
Only thing I will say about mine is that I thing the speakers aren’t that loud at all
Oh right I know on some trims you get the upgraded sound system.
Modern cars suck. Prefer pre 2000 cars. Less electronics and interference from euro regs.
In Italy still have a Fiat uno. Even my current car is ancient compared to the new high tech cars. Do you prefer a manual or auto’s ?
@@Mr-M-on-motorsdefinitely manual. I do like and appreciate how good the 8 speed is and of course dct is quality but there's nothing like a good set up for toe and healing while changing down the box.
@Sc50001 I have to agree the auto’s and DCT’s are engineered very well. I still think driving up or down a mountain pass with a manual just has a different feeling.
Had a 1.7 d finally managed to destroy the engine after 350000 km ....only because I opened up the diesel flow and drove to work at over 150kmh every day..great car was the uno.
Oh wow that’s been a workhorse of an engine. Oh right are you allowed to go that speed in your country? Those Fiat engines go on forever. Even the Panda’s do well. Thanks for your comment.
I saw this video 2 o 3 times. Love it. I need that car
Oh thank you, I’m glad the video gave you value more than once. It’s a fun car to drive sadly ours will be going as repairs are getting more frequent. If you can pick one up in great condition definitely consider getting one.
@@Mr-M-on-motors I'm sorry to read that, but at least you enjoyed it a little bit
@Medes06 It’s been a lovely car to drive. You really feel connected to the road. I will be making a last goodbye video soon. Thanks again for your comment and support.
@@Mr-M-on-motors i will keep an eye on that. Thanks for the answr
@Medes06 👍🏻 make sure you have notifications turned on.
🫶🏻 definitely so, important to make sure there’s enough fuel in the car
I loved my Uno in the mid 90s. Always thought Fiat would bring the Uno name back.
Sorry for the delay in reply, it’s a great all round car. Nice little engine, maybe one day they might revive the model.
😮😮
Is this LHD Uno imported from Italy?
Yes it’s LHD but it’s kept at the family home in Italy
@@Mr-M-on-motors Does Italy have less road deicing procedures than other Euro countries? If so, could it be the reason why so many 80s and 90s Fiats, Alfas and Lancias can still be seen on Italian roads?
Oh yes in the north of Italy they have to be well equipped. It does snow and have very cold weather. In the south of Italy we don’t get as much snow and ice so cars are less exposed to the harsh elements. You still need to took after the car. There are people with very old cars still on the road. Our Uno has also been stored in the basement so that also helps.
Taking notes 😂
With the 3rd gen Giulietta, it’s in white😁.
Oh nice thanks for sharing that detail. I miss the Giulietta
Got one today half the price there worth as a neighbour is moving out of UK. Got myself a 21 plate and there pretty nice and smooth. However shit electronics. Crap dashboard . Screen slow and laggy when turns on. Bluetooth never connects automatically for me. Done 30 miles in the city and I’m averaging 22 mpg in the automatic version.
Oh nice, you saved yourself a lot of money. Yeah plastics are made on a budget. Oh screen sensitivity was fine on the test drive I did. No to bad milage if you can get near 30 mpg it’s a good result. Overall it’s a nice nippy little car. You got a bargain.
🔥🔥
I'm thinking of buying one, not keen on the Diezel version, I'd rather go for the petrol. I've always loved Alfa-Romeo's but never actually owned one. Everyone always (at least in my country) gets worried about part availability and dealer network, but Alfa-Romeo, in my opinion, is one of those car brands that you should buy with your heart, not your head, plus you don't see one around every street corner. There is just something about them that you can't really explain or put your finger on. I heard people say, in many Alfa-Romeo reviews, that they give you that feeling, that fizz when you sit behind an Alfa steering wheel, like you know you're in something special and different, and I've always chosen car brands that's unique and not the same ordinary brands that everybody usually buy, just because it's a bit cheaper or easier to maintain. You only live once, right? I currently own a French hatchback, and although I love it, I've always said that the only other car brand I'll replace mine with is a sexy Alfa. I also love the Alfa-Romeo GT coupé, aspecially the 3.2 V6 variant, but they're vary rare in my country, also a bit older year model and a bit more expensive than the Giulietta, so I was considering going for the more modern Giulietta, although the GT Coupé is better equipped and a bit bigger car. But I eventually made my mind up and decided to first go for the Giulietta. In the video, you spoke about the radio not being a touch screen infotainment system, but I know you do get higher spec versions that do have those fitted, I'm sure you can get one fitted if yours doesn't have it. Thanks for your video, I've done so much research on the Alfa-Romeo brand lately, and I guess my next car will definitely be an Alfa-Romeo. Cheers.
Thank you for your comment, sorry for the late reply. There is no showdow of a doubt that Alfa Romeo is a drivers car. It’s that feeling of being engaged and part of an experience that made me want one. The design even today is very desirable. You definitely need to buy with your heart as reliability has also plagued the brand. I must say I didn’t really have many issues with mine. I would play close attention to the electrics with can be temperamental. My choice was a diesel because of the travelling I did and even that diesel was very fun to drive, the chassis balance and steering input made a quite enjoyable experience. A petrol engine either the 1.4 or QV 1.75 will give you the Alfa classic feeling and soundtrack. The infotainment screen was added I believe in Giulietta’s from 2016. With some technical skills and know how it could be installed in earlier model years. The GT you mentioned is also a lovely coupe but they are rare now.
Thanks for your reply. I would like to share the following video with you. It looks like an easy modification you might like to try on your Giulietta. You dont have to reply again to my post. Enjoy. DIY Automatic Boot, Trunk Lid Open, Hatch Pop Alfa Romeo Giulietta / ARC Garage th-cam.com/video/GMFp8Tmxggo/w-d-xo.html
I forgot to mention that the previous TH-cam link I shared with you is not my own video. It's just a video I've previously seen. Cheers
I've got a 156 facelift. It's a diesel, OK, I know, but it's a car that lifts your spirits (and the contents of your wallet!), but just sitting in the cabin is a treat.
@stanleybuchan4610 I don't really have a problem with a diesel vehicle, I've always owned petrol and manual cars. Think it's because of that usual cluck-cluck sound of a diesel engine when you start it up that puts me offa bit, and a auto gearbox are more expensive to fix than a manual should something go wrong. I'm just one of those people who thinks a diesel engine belongs in a truck or a tractor, not a sexy Italian car, but that's just my opinion. Love the 159 sadan, but prefer the hatch version of the 159 (Brera) that replaced the GT coupé, the 159 sadan are a bit large for me because I am a single guy with no children. Brera's are also very scarce in my country, and because of their rarity, the Brera are expensive to buy. The reason I decided on a Giulietta is because their a bit bigger than the Mito, and don't forget about that forgotten hero Giulietta that finally pulled down that massive plane in that Fast and Ferious movie when all other cars failed, crashed or burned. And yes, I know... before someone else reads my comment and says, "It wasn't real," and "It was only a movie." Thanks, Stanley. Cheers. 😀
Why on earth would you buy a nicely handling and sporty car with a stinky GM sources tractor engine in it…? Super weird…
You’re not the first person to say that. I would agree with you that petrol is king. The diesel engine is from the Fiat bravo with some tweaks. I didn’t think much of it at first but the low end torque of this engine is very useful. You don’t lose that Alfa Romeo handling if that is of concern. The reason for the diesel is because I was driving an 88 miles round trip to work. I could have gone for any diesel but the Giulietta said come and buy me. 😊
My does the same it lock itself
That’s cool, I think other cars do too. Although I don’t think it did on my Alfa Romeo Giulietta. I’ve checked my dad’s Ford Fiesta and it doesn’t lock back once you unlock it.
Just seen this video ive just bought and recommissioned my mates uncles old 1987 mk2 fiat uno 60 5 door with only 45k from mew and its my daily drove and I absolutely love it Your dad's uno is a beauty I love it
I’m ever so sorry for the delay in reply, oh wow only 45k. Is that kilometres or miles? As a daily it does the job. Thank you I’ll be uploading the live video update on the uno I filmed in Italy so be sure to subscribe. Thank you for your comment.

Lol it's hubcaps lomimmp
Will you show me its diesel cap opening closing video
The UNO I have is the petrol version. Do you mean fuel cap ?
@@Mr-M-on-motors yes outside cover not inside
@vinayak_thakuri_ This car is in Italy, I’ll be going over in May. I’ll be going live when I’m there so be sure to subscribe.
@@Mr-M-on-motors ok thats great i am from nepal kathmandu i have fiat uno diesel 1.7 but in my car haven't fuel cap i used to open and close its fuel tank by wood while refuelling it in but it has lost away and i want to watch its sample only because in nepal fiat uno cars parts is not available and in india also do you use Facebook or instagram because i want to send you myvehicle photos
@vinayak_thakuri_ oh right I see, you will need to order a new fuel cap by the sounds of it. I’m currently having trouble logging in Facebook but my IG is marino_palladino
fiat uno is the tallest of the hartc back cars .in the period history of its time. won car of the year 1984.
Yes it is quite a tall boxy car, even the original Panda is like that. It’s nice to know it won car of the year. The engine is a solid unit. I’ll be in Italy soon and I’ll be going live with this car, so be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications.
First and last Vauxhall
I must say sometimes the use of cheap materials and electronics doesn’t help. It will interesting to see if the Peugeot 208 has similar issues.
Unreliable electronics on the dash, fuel is poor on the hills
Thank you for your comment, I didn’t notice any glitches on the dash when I test drove the car. The turbo should have helped climb the hill. Your feedback is very useful for long term ownership.
When I took the car to the garage because the Stop start didn’t function I was told if the battery charge falls below 80% it doesn’t work check the price of a new battery . The Language on screen switches on its own accord
I presume you bought the car new from Vauxhall. I had similar issue with the start stop with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. I’m not sure if mine was battery related. At times it would stop working. In the end I disabled it, it became annoying. That screen language switch shouldn’t happen. If the car is under warranty the dealership should look into it.

@davidthomas3124 Is that another TH-camr or business
Looks awesome. I own a Stelvio. I don't know about the electric part, it will be super heavy and it will lose the good handling.
Oh cool love the Stelvio design. I need to review it one day hopefully. It’s going to be strange seeing Alfa Romeo transition to electric. The main thing they keep the spirit. I agree these batteries aren’t light. Let’s see what Stellantis has in store for Alfa Romeo.
Does it come with the complimentary hanging outside the car rubber seal at the bottom of the drivers door?
Not sure what you are asking here
The IDR is bleak and a classic example of myopic Town planing. Many historic buildings were levelled for this inner -Town motorway.
I must say everyone I speak to detests the IDR. It’s sad when historical building are demolished for infrastructure.
You have a beautiful little Mini Cooper they are fun cars to drive.
Thank you, you’re right they are very fun to drive. Unfortunately the one we have has needed so much repair work.
You said the same thing 4 times 😳
Well observed sorry about that
Amazing 😊so many great choices and models
Can this do a 300 mile trip?
I remember one holiday in Italy. My family and I went to the Adriatic coast. Two hours drive each way. With a full tank it would get close to 300 miles, depending on the speed you travel at.
Did 848km on a full tank in South Africa in 1998. Best small car for its time and very reliable.
@neelsswierstra4603 That’s a really good distance on a tank with the UNO
I had my Corsa Ultimate manual in September new and 73 plate. There are a few things I'm not too keen on. Firstly there is only one USB and secondly no courtesy light for the rear seat passengers. Yes, It's a nippy car though the interior I think is a bit too plastic for my liking. Still, it is as it is. Great video though but on reflection I think a 208 would may have been a better option. 😊
Sorry for the delayed reply, thank you for the comment and real life user experience on the new Corsa. It’s those small details you mentioned which should come standard. When you look at the money one spends, one expects more. Saying that I do think this is the best Corsa overall. I liked the drive and power is decent. I do need to source a 208 for a comparison review. They both share the same platform, so the driving experience should be interesting. Thank you again for your comment and sharing your thoughts on the new Corsa.

Good review mate
Thank you I really appreciate your feedback. The aim is to provide as much value in the videos. 😊👍🏻
Like the inside but not the outside very plane sorry I buy the née mirca or clio before the corsa sorry
The inside is the best interior of all Corsa generations. They have gone for simple design lines compared to previous gens which had sharper lines. It is definitely plainer than the Peugeot 206. Thanks for you opinion much appreciated.
Hi. My folks own a 1993 Fiat Uno Suite with ~150,000 km. Do you have an estimate of how much it is worth? Thanks in advance for your response.
Hey, depends on how it’s been keep. In the UK I’ve seen some around £5k. The Mk 1 uno can fetch upto 10k. In mainland Europe prices are even more competitive.
700e
I just got my new astra it is definitely worth more than the corsa for the extra money you get a lot more
Oh yes size wise it is more practical. I thinks it depend what you need the car for. If you have a family the Astra is better especially with the bigger boot space.
@@Mr-M-on-motors more the quality you get it's just feels a bit better than my old Corsa
Oh yes its’s a different segment. I really like the new Astra design language similar to the Mokka.
@@Mr-M-on-motors ye but I really hope the new Corsa gets same face lift
This model has a more rounded design I think this Corsa came out before the new shape design from the Astra and Mokka. I think the next Corsa could have the similar design. Although a lot of people also like this design. It’s a hard one for designers.
You could have took that annoying plastic of the steering wheel otherwise great review 😂
You are right I should of taken it off. All to do the the Covid rules that’s why it was on. Thank you for you feedback. I’m glad you liked the review. 👍🏻😊

I have an uno 1.7 diesel , had it 20 years , it's a brilliant little car , rust free too, only driven at shows now , want to preserve it for years to come , . Have fiat cinquecento too 1994 , sweet little car too 17 years of ownership , used only on dry roads , .punto 1.2 ,16v CVT mk2 is my daily drive , fiats are great little cars ,
I’ve never driven a diesel version. That’s the great thing having a classic you can go to shows. The Cinquecento is amazing for towns, not many on the road in the UK. My first car was the punto mk 2 what a great little car brilliant engine. Fiats have great engines as with all cars they have to be looked after so they age well

The indestructible Fiat F.I.R.E engine they retired this marvelous of engineering in 2020........
What an engine indeed, after 30 years the engine still sounds great. Really I didn’t know that.
Little nice car, only what pissing me off having aircon on every time you start ignition
It is a smart car. I know it has a lot in common with the Peugeot 208 but I think it has it’s own characteristics. There is no way to turn it off. Sorry for the delay in replying.
Learnt to drive in one of these. Still dream I am driving it sometimes…
Oh really cool, I bet it was fun 😀 sorry about the delay in replying
Funny you say that because I dream of my old Uno. I think I’m going to get another. Life is too short.
Owned two Uno cars over 5 years and loved them. Quirky, reliable, economical. There were higher spec models with designs by various Italian engineers et .We owned one of them and they were definitely more responsive AND again; a delight to own AND drive. The lower BHP models were OK BUT you had to know HOW to drive them to ensure that if you were ie on a hill about to overtake a lorry et that you had built up enough speed otherwise ??? Uhh not going past that on a hill.👀
They truly are brilliant town cars. Yes you had the turbo version which was a rocket. You’re right about the lower BHP ones. The one we have struggles up mountains. Yes you have to plan the overtaking 😃
Great video, thanks!
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it. 👍🏻😊 sorry for the delay in replying

Thanks for your comment. I’ll take it onboard.
I've got the 1.2 elite premium nav automatic possibly same spec as in the video but with the eight speed automatic transmission
Sorry about the delay just getting back on the channel. Great choice in trim, a great package. How is the car with the auto gearbox?
@@Mr-M-on-motors good thanks yes quite powerful
I’m glad to hear the auto is also great gearbox.
Hi what model was this please
I believe it was the Elite Nav trim which is a high spec. The only thing missing is heated seats. The one I drive was the 100bhp variant.
