If these are the good riders, I’d hate to see the bad ones!
pretty sorry comment. These guys were in the infancy of freestyle riding.Show a little respect boy.The rotor for the rear brake cable had not even been invented yet.
Flatland riders now days do stuff that is 10 times crazier than this
You can’t find those hutch bikes anywhere now they are thousands and thousands just watching this makes me want to go to these days it seems so much more simple and jobs paid more compared to the cost of bills and people had one job and could afford things now whoever that guy is talking is probably 70 years old … crazy
I rode with Eddie and Martin Many times. Great Guys. Known them since 1981, Here's some of my teams roots Super Style II aka Original Vans pioneer members.. th-cam.com/video/PJtFQx0Hy44/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=WilliamCRAZYLACYFurmage
To think we thought that was awesome back in the day 🤦🏼♂️
What's not awesome about these days?
These are sub sponsored riders..not Hutch factory riders like woody itson the guy that invented the Miami hopper 3:05 and Mike D.
In the beginning of freestyle. I had trickstar .
I was offered $3,500 For my old trick star. The bike has too many great memories for about ANY amount.
sold my 81 goose, araya, takagi , shotgun, etc , etc mint mint ( even the nipples were meticulous. ) for 1, 100 and as I watched it rolling away across my lawn, i felt like a total loser.. big mistake, cause now its gone for good even the decals; it was drop dead gorgeous the quality of the chrome was so true , if you put that bike in a bike store now next to all the other shit nothing else would sell Although some advancements have been made and the sport is faster than ever, vintage quality is still way way way superior.
Lee ramsdell? Cool
Awesome to see how it all began. Van Halen playing in the back ground priceless.
Why is the crowd so small?
I mean I know this was in the 80s but all the times their feet touch the ground on a flatland trick is crazy
the section intro tracks here are a vibe
them hutch bikes are worth thousands now.
It's amazing that I still have my BMX bike from the 80s in the attic. I was surprised to find out that it's worth almost three grand.
I just got an ax2000 what a hoss
Good show and good riding for the time. We spent some time hanging out and riding with the Havelock NC crew. Good riders and all around good dudes.
03:00 how's that Trick named? - the eunuch? 😱
ball buster
@@40mmmikemike 😆👍
Crazy how much the sport/tricks have evolved since then. When I was a kid, these looked like amazing advanced tricks. Imagine how blown away these guys would be if a 21st century x-games rider showed up pulling triple back flips off a giant ramp.
Extraordinarily Basic tricks hahahahaha
I had one 30 years ago. Had it installed at a local shop, it was red, running 3 12s, took it to a local competition, seems like the car made 154db on the meter. Together with that amp, I blew several Orion XTR 12s. LMAO. I don't remember the model, or watts it was rated at, saw one that looked like it here.
Makes me proud to own an 86 hutch exel
makes me ashamed that i not even could do a proper wheele back then;)))))
Totally Rad and Van Halen in the background !
Rad.
