I'm taking a punt here but I'd say that 's not a tenor horn - it's a mellophonium which he mostly played with the JSVB along with the tenor horn which was his instrument.
No its a Tenor Horn.
Sorry It was a tenor Horn I always used TH with this solo and Evergreen .....but I used the Mello on Misty

Gordon was a lovely man when I knew him. I'm Ray Woodfield's daughter. He was conductor and composer for the Versatile Brass. Dad said he was an extremely talented player, and a natural comedian.

This was played at Higgy's Mothers Funeral .....says it all .
It's an Ord Hume arrgt. if I remember correctly, but transposed for Eb instrument.
I believe it was composedby Stephen Adams and the pianist was Roy Newsome but I am not sure who arranged it. Sorry I cannot help further.
