A flyover of our Camp Bay Beach home - and our neighborhood. The winds have receded slightly, (briefly), so I took the drone up high over the community. The Sea is beautiful. And the construction on the mansions and Chelles continues behind us, up the hill.

Come take a flight with me around our community in the remote Camp Bay Beach area. A couple neighborhood fires are going on, burning leaves/debris/trash. Always a rush, a concern, if the fire is coming from the area, or our wood-framed home! Take in the sights, the Caribbean Sea, the sandy shoreline, and the lush vegetation.

Walking the dogs when I saw debris in the water. At first I thought Sargassum, until looking closer. Turns out it was fresh ‘Beach Naupaka’, aka: ‘Half Flower’ which grows along the shore to hinder erosion. When I saw Palm Tree branches, I looked up-current. A woman is cutting the foliage along the Caribbean Sea, throwing her yard debris into the water.

The grills/grates of the dashboard vents were brittle and have broken off over the past couple of years. How is life there
Incredibly relaxing and simple. It took a couple years to deprogram and let life happen. We are out in the remote East End, without the resorts, touristy shopping, etc. It's a simple, retired life. Basic! We go "Down-Island" every week or two weeks. The grocery shopping is every 4 to 5 weeks. There are a few Pulperia's (convenience stores) in the area, for the little things. The area, the country, is behind the times as far as U.S. living, but that is what we desire and strive for.
So what’s the recipe? Please share so I can feed the hummingbird too!
I use a 4:1 ratio. Making an 8-cup (2-quart) container, I use 8 1/4-cup level scoops of plain white sugar. Nothing else. Each cup of water gets a 1/4-cup sugar ~ enjoy!

It is magical. It has taken a long time to gain their trust. If I sleep late, when I walk out onto the deck or go into the open-air kitchen for coffee, they will fly around me, reminding me of my tardiness.

It the one across the street along the Sea, but to the East of the cleared lot across from us. It was usually overgrown a bit, but has a picnic table and accessible.

Congratulations. Is that the vacant lot to the front of the community? And to share, we rented the green home in this community, while building our forever home in Camp Bay. Since June 1st, we are no longer in Calabash Bight, but at Camp Bay near the Beach area.
@@MikeStrine_RoatanStrineWay yep! The owners ended up splitting the lot into two so there will be two new homes there. I saw your Camp Bay build- looks awesome, congrats! I will be curious once we get down there to know how many full timers live in our little area. Best to you!
For those wondering, near the beginning, when I STOPPED the truck, I had switched it into 4WD. I will do a stop, neutral, switch, then reverse to lock the hubs in. It's "supposed" to be 4WD on the fly, but sometimes the front hubs don't engage correctly. Then when I get to a concrete part, I do the reverse to put it back to 2WD.
all those steps are definitely cardio excersize for sure!!! Love it
