    Problem is that Battle ended 600 years after Rise, and Kingdom is 300 years before the ending of Battle. And as we could see in Kingdom maybe nuclear holocaust still could happen especially now that not only most of the intelligent humans live on bunkers, but in the end of the movie they got access to satellite connection. Not only that, but Trevithan asked Mae what Silo she came from, suggesting that most of intelligent humans do live in Silos, wich effectively means that the humans in Kingdom are the "mutants" from Battle and Beneath just a more grounded version (replace psychic powers with internet and the mutant deformities with the vulnerability of the virus). What i'm saying here is that as far as i'm aware nuclear war still could happen in the new movies since theres a gap of 300 years until the Battle ending... And even the hopeful ending of Battle, means nothing since theres still 1400 years until Beneath Alpha / Omega detonation.

    Ehh i guess we would also in a timeline of Planet of Apes... The difference here is not that the monkeys become smarter, we humans simply became dumber...

    The Tim Burton flick is essentially a stand-alone story with an ending more faithful to the original Pierre Boulle novel. The current 21st century film franchise relatively fills-in the time-line between Conquest of... and the original Planet of... After Kingdom of... in 2024 there should be (at least) one more new movie which links that vacant time in the original series to the return of the Astronauts to Earth which would join the original movie series to the modern series and make the multi-millennium Ape franchise complete. Maybe Marky Mark will be one of those returning Astronauts.

    I can agree with. A lot of the finer details make sense when you think about easy history is miscommunicated. Also, how easy is someone to lie to change every or to be wrong with what they say or belive to be true.

    Yes thank you SO MUCH for solving this “ Brain 🧠 farting time warp “ yes I do agree that Cornelius and Zira going back on time did change the future and speed up the events when they introduced the virus that killed dogs and cats and also giving birth to Ceaser earlier speed up everything instead of the Ceaser that was born In the the Rise of the Apes 🦍, absolutely genius work thank you so much this trilogy always made me question it’s sequential order thank you for all your work ❤

    I always thought that in the first movie he joined the mission because he hated humans thinking they were stupid and violent creatures I don't think he liked himself. and what stopped humans or apes in the past from using the Statue of Liberty as target practice then it got covered up like smart humans.

    I know there are inconsistencies between the original and the reboot. But if the reboot is supposed to be a prequel to the original, according to Cornelius in "Escape" from his historical accont, around the 23rd or 24th century, it was a chimpanzee named Aldo who stood up against his human masters who uttered the first word, "no".

    Love this - I’d argue that you could even look at the Burton film as part of the new movies, albeit an additional timeline branch off, that stemmed a decade And a half before Rise occurs

  • @iperson4800
    @iperson4800 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The thing is this isnt an opinion. The director himself said that they arent connect therefore they arent. Doesnt matter how many connections you make or strings you attach, creator’s intent always takes top priority during arguments like this. Therefore this isnt an opinionated debate, there is a wrong and right and you are just wrong So rise is a reboot, separate from the originals

    Hear me out, what if originally humans did die due to a nuclear war and apes were genetically made but when Cornelius went back in time they brought an alternative reality where Caesar was originally born smart due to being the son of genetically made apes who can time travel and he then made the other apes smart too due to the cure for alzheimer's and in this alternative reality humans did die due to the virus spread by Caesar and apes did gradually become smarter due to Caesar so he technically is the main protagonist and not Cornelius in this other Earth's reality since he gave them the drug and he freed them, and thus theory also explains why Caesar was already smart and why all the apes say he is the first ape to speak, wallah code has been cracked!!

    It really needs to be pointed out that at the time when the original movie was made the possibility of destruction by nuclear war was in the back of everyone's mind. Nuclear destruction was a pervasive cloud than hovered over everything we did. We were actively in denial while going about our daily business. As a child growing up in the '60s and '70s I had to learn duck and cover drills in school while also thinking of their ultimate futility. I was an avid reader of science fiction, and had a good layman's knowledge of science. The idea that life would be worth living after a nuclear war between the superpowers, followed by any retaliatory strikes that might have been prepared against the contingency of the various countries being essentially destroyed, made any thought of survival ridiculous. And so, the scene in which the Statue of Liberty is revealed naturally and universally evoked the idea that humanity had destroyed itself in a fit of nuclear war. There really was no other thought in anyone's mind back then.

    OMFG, have so many people really lost the understanding of "remakes'?! I suppose some clowns must think that Thade's father in the Burton film was Taylor who had somehow reincarnated as an ape, just because of Charlton Heston's cameo! In the current reboot movies, older fans like me recognized various nods to the originals as nostalgic homages, but they were clearly not meant to imply any sort of continuity to them, in any direction of time. What would've been the point of merely re-telling the same story and sequence as in the original films? Remakes usually try to update a certain aspect in order to make it a fresher rendition of the material it's based upon. "Scarface" (1983) is a remake of the 1932 film. Simple as that. Not surprisingly, many people didn't even know that the Pacino version was a remake, since there's half a century between them. I hope this over-speculation of the POTA franchise is all just being done for laughs, but too many people in the comments seem to be taking this too seriously! Why stop here, then?! Why not just try to connect the 1936 "King Kong" with the remake from the '70's and the Peter Jackson version?! And then connect the cartoon version of "the Lion King" with the CGI remake. Oh, better still, have fun trying to connect the original Batman series to the Burton movies, the Nolan movies, and every other Batman-related movie ever made.

    I think there are four separate continuities:- 1. The original stands on its own. Taylor is well aware they are travelling into the far future on a one way ticket out of the 20th Century. 2. Beneath, Escape, Conquest & Battle. These all fit together. Brent is on a rescue mission for Taylor's ship. But that's impossible to be the Taylor of the original, as they were on a one way journey and didn't expect to be coming back. So Beneath is a new continuity, with Brent coming after another version of Taylor in a different continuity. 3. Burton's. Obviously stands alone as a reboot. 4. Rise, Dawn, War & Kingdom. The story of Caesar for the initial trilogy and now continuing on in the future of that same world...
