Steamboat Springs, The Next Town to Explode In Colorado? Construction Updates
Is Steamboat Springs the next Aspen? While I can't fully answer that...I do know that Steamboat is currently experiencing a HUGE construction boom. Both commercial and with residential. Follow along in my video to see what is happening downtown and by the resort. There's only two seasons in Colorado and that is construction season and winter. Wild Blue is an amazing new gondola. I rented at the Ski Time Square condos 309 and 301 at the base - good prices, great location and quite nice.
It really is the coolest airport! Flew in to hike Fish Creek Falls and the near town paved river trails May 2022 and then again last month Jan 2024 for skiing. Steamboat is awesome! ✈️❄️

This was obviously very early in the season … there is a LOT more snow is there now! You missed the Ski Time Square condos (next to Kutuk).
Oh yes, we have WAY more snow now! Ski time square condos was not added because while it is very close to the slopes, it is not a "ski in ski out" property. Really appreciate you watching my video!
I would recommend taking the redline downtown and get some real food. Everything at the base is super mid.
Having Been Skiing in the Swiss Alps now Three Times I can say that the Trip from Geneva Airport, The train leaves from Swiss side of the Airport, to Brig took about 2.5 hours. The ride through the Valley was scenic and enjoyable and the train moved at a good speed. From Brig to Zermatt, another 1.5 hours, was done by cogwheel rail up the mountain and all of these trains were electric, another scenic and beautiful leg. We don't think like the Swiss in the US but I see a ski trip as a Journey as well as a destination! By the time the environmentalists get through with this project all you'll really get is wildlife 'right-of-ways' where existing rails are already in place, that's where the money will go!
It would be interesting to find out how many Town officials own property within the green and yellow zones
