I just bought my 2024 Onyx. I have a habit with my old 2014 Outback of hitting the garage door button when I first get to the end of the driveway, then the door is about 2/3 way up when I reach it, and I roll into the garage from there. Not any more, with Eyesight. Found out it looks "up" as well as in front.

Is this an aftermarket dashcam or did you get access to the Eyesight & rear camera footage?

Had someone from the left lane into my lane on the right and then punched the brakes just to make a right turn. My pre-collision kicked in hard and fast and prevented me from rear-ending the idiot. 2024 Subaru Forester.👍🏼👍🏼

Had mine engage at 80 mph and it stopped on a dime. It's scary when it comes on but glad it's there

What likely led to this was the Tesla in front of the Kia. With regen braking they slow down without brake lights and at the last minute the brakes get engaged to come to a full stop. Often time drivers behind don’t recognize this and by the time the lights come on the car is almost fully stopped.

Researched this car segment for the last 2 months, my findings, - 5th gen forester rated #1 in safety and readability over all others including RAV, trial hawk, honda and bronco sport. That said, it has been a long road for Subaru from the CVT tranny , oil consumption, head gasket issues of past generation vehicles. At 6'3, CR just announced the Forester is #1 with tall drivers as well, no surprise as the "green house" visibility is very attractive. All the safety dings can be disabled permanently, with the exception of engine on/off at stop. After market solution will solve that as well. So, I will be picking up my Subaru Forester Wilderness / pearl white next week. Comfortable driving on and off road, safety and readability, looks, honest service advisors that I have visited with during this time, all have pushed me this direction. And finally driving my daughters 2017 Forester premium, sold me on being a Subie owner. Suggested maintenance to ensure long life; 30k diff (F/R) service, 40k CVT Transmission service, and oil changes every 4k. Compared to the Outback, Off road analysis/videos show the turbo in the Outback gets totally in the way of performance when climbing, as the Forester's new gearing and software changes bring much more to the equation over the turbo, in my opinion. th-cam.com/video/ZF_JtgJ7aKQ/w-d-xo.html HAPPY TRAILS

Great to see the safety feature work in real life situation. Glad that it could save the collision. On another note, could you advise as where have you mounted the dash cam. I am looking to get one and want to ensure that it doesn't hamper the eyesight.

I have owned 2 Outbacks over the years, right now I own a 2021 Tundra CrewMax! I'm second guessing whether I need that much vehicle! I see the Outback Wilderness and makes me miss its versatility and of course better milage!😉 I know they are Apples and Oranges but......🤔
