After serving as a chaplain in the Cynthiana region at Bluegrass Care Navigators for 13 years, Rick Snyder chose to become an 11th hour volunteer in retirement. In this role, Rick gives back to his community by offering comfort to patients in their final moments, especially those without family nearby.
For Rick, the greatest gift of volunteering is the privilege of being invited into someone’s life during such a critical time to provide comfort, dignity, and a reminder that each person is known and loved. Recently, Rick provided the gift of presence and advocacy to a patient in their final moments.
