Bottles of Thedas - How to get bottle from Suledin Keep in Emprise du Lion | Dragon Age: Inquisition
David Gaider has recently admitted he did change Alistair's mother after it was too late to make the edits to DAO, and that people noticed the revisionism. He went on to say that someone probably should have told him to stop and leave Goldana's mom as his mom.
For anyone still confused, Alistair is Fiona and Maric's son. They met during the book DA:The Calling and had Alistair. The maid that was claimed to be his mother was a cover story to hide his elven mother's hertiage.
2:33 touchy subject, huh, Solas? maybe too personal for you?
Depth & complex characters of bioware, back when bioware was good
Is that Henselt from Witcher??? :0
If this was the Veilguard, Blackwall would have just dropped "Oh, Inquisitor, meet me in Val Royeaux, something will happen". No conversation about the dog, no discovery of him leaving, no cinematography, no directing. What we have here isn't golden masterpiece, but at least it is here. It works.
sorry but the ominous "I feel like a whole new person"...people who missed this would miss a freight train on a quiet day
Debbie Harry never looked so damn good!😂
Wich armor set is that one?
Mods I am guessing
Aw, cute! He kind of reminds me of Astarion from bg3, funny and sassy and some may think evil but deep down he has a huge heart. Just like Astarion ever since the first sex with him he got all messed up in the head and started feeling things and tried to stop feeling them. Alastair reminds me of Gale from BG3, but I feel that Dragon Age did a much better job at executing the idea of someone who is a cinnamon roll but could kill you. I wonder if that’s also why Gale comments to himself “I hope Alistair is taking good care of Tara”, perhaps it was meant to be a reference to Dragon Age Alistair?
I encountered this banter yesterday and it completely melted my heart. My Anders 🥹 thank you for uploading , needed to hear that again
I swear the DLCs are what made me actually like Anders/Hawke. The couple of sweet little comments they added give me hope that maybe they were a little happier together between the parts that were important enough for Varric to mention
I love your Dwarf, the designs great and she fits the voice perfectly :)
Thank you so much!
Replaying and wanted to remember what I'd miss. :) Thanks.
This deserves more views
What type of armor and shield is that?
from The Descent dlc.
I would die for her 😭
I played Inquisition 4 times on my PS4 as each of the 4 races and decided the outcome of the Winter Palace Masquerade. Male Elven Inquisitor-Let Celene die and Gaspard become Emperor Female Human Inquisitor-Arrested Florianne by exposing her plans to assassinate the Empress and had both Celene, Gaspard and Briala come to a truce Female Dwarven Inquisitor-Killed Florianne before she slew Celene and arrested both Gaspard and Briala Male Qunari Inquisitor-Let Celene die and allowed Briala to use Gaspard as a puppet emperor
They fucking animated the backstep. God damn they planned well.
And wasted it all in the sequel
Thx man, you save me a lot of time
Glad I could help
Is there any special dialogue as a dwarf Inquisitor? I didn't catch any in this video.
It was this quest that kept me from buying the game and ruined the franchise for me. From Origins and on, the consequences of choices becomes more and more severe. I think the best part about games like these is that you can be the writer of your own story. Become the master of your own fate. If the developers are trying to lean more toward realism, then a realistic option would be to send members of the Inquisition to support Iron Bull's men. Bottom line, the consequences from both choices are too depressing.
4:37 Kinda like you Cullen
I prefer not to fight her. Too much hassle, wanted to try the celene n briala outcome. I cant open the door!
I SNORTED I LOVE DA’S WRITING SK MUCH
Wait I tried to reconcile celine and brialla but I didn't get this outcome 😭 Does that mean my ending was celine ruling alone?
If you read The Masked Empire, you'll see reuniting them isn't a good thing.
Lol this is such an unpleasant memory for him, he tells the Ash guardian to gtfo
I finished the game and for some reason I just didn't get enough "friend-points" to see Bull quest (this one and the meeting with the squad cutscene). Thx for video.
7:36 A scheming viper wants to give a lecture about morality and ethics? How funny. 😑😑😑
Thanks for uploading this. It's my first playthrough and I completed the quest today by ensuring a truce between the three. Also, your video was uploaded on my birthday in 2022 lol. Around the time when I started playing Origins for the first time.
I love Dorian but he's so annoying on this mission. I just want to tell him to stfu!!! Telling an ex slave that life as a slave is better than what they currently live in.... Just stfu.
Thanks for putting this together! My favorite endings are making them all come to the truce (by blackmailing them to help the Inquisition with the dirt you have on all of them), and supporting Briala through her puppeteering of Gaspard. I find the most interesting stories to have the "best" outcome for others while having a little to a lot of gray area in getting there.
You play without subtitles D:
It's something I've corrected after beginning the channel. I plan on reuploading old content with subtitles at some point.
They aren't talking about a Tevinter invasion so much as the cultists, otherwise known as the Venatori.
Let's just all appreciate how good Solas is voiced. Damn good
Thiiiiis
And of course he goes from warnings of betrayal to talking about godhood
Lies Lies Lies Solas!
For anyone confused, Fiona was confirmed to be Alistair’s mother in The Calling a month before the first game came out.
What’s the calling?
@@Luke-ky5ed It’s one of the Dragon Age books. It’s the second they made following King Maric and Loghain and has them travel with Duncan and Fiona. It also has the first appearance of the Architect from Awakening.
Wait how?
@@karandullet380 There were two books released before the game came out. In the second Maric had a brief romance with Fiona and despite the odds she got pregnant. Due to the racism against half elf children Maric, Fiona and Duncan decided to keep it a secret with Duncan in charge of watching over him.
This is not Alistair's mother.
Yes it is. It was confirmed in The Calling.
I love the face markings. What mods do you use?
It's called Warpaint by Kadust www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/1588?tab=files I love it as well!
To get that armor, did you first do the dlc the descent? because I know that this mission is the one where you either choose templars or mages.
If you interact with a golden nug statue after finishing the game it saves all blueprints you have collected. If you then use the statue at haven, that should now appear you get all save blueprints at the start.
Ok who was heartless enough to let that bitch wed Alistair. Sod the in slavement of some thing the whole Dragon age 2 was trying to tell us. WHO PUT ALISTAIR THOUGH THAT PAIN???
I see Solas couldn't help but be passive aggressive at the end.
As usual
Wait is she? I thought she died before Alistair became a gray warden.
That was a lie to cover up Allister being born from an affair to an elven mage who also happed to be a Grey Warden. That's like the trifecta of things you do not want going on in court. That's one thing I HATE about DAI: It borrows a lot of lore from content found only outside the games, but expects you to know it.
@@gamerk316 yeah I don't even know where that is from. Then his sister was all an act too?
@@anthony4844 I believe so, though she didn't know it. I believe her relationship with Maric was explained in Dragon Age: The Calling.
@@gamerk316 I'm gonna have to look that up. Is it a book or something?
@@anthony4844 Yes. It’s in The Calling and was one of two books released before the first game.
Was Alistair born when Fiona was in the Grey Warden ?
Yes. She went on a quest to the Deep Roads with King Maric and others. After the quest, she returned to the Grey Wardens but then realised she's pregnant with the King's child...which shouldn't be possible because she's supposed to be barren because *GREY WARDEN*. Anyway, after giving birth, she (and Duncan, who they both trust) returned to King Maric's court with baby Alistair. She left Alistair to his father and months later, when it became clear that she was cured of the Blight that the Grey Wardens carry, she returned to the Circle in Orlais. She climbed the ranks and became an Enchanter.
@@dyosaexmachina1751. Can someone tell where is said that Wardens cannot conceive children? Because in Origins the only thing said about the matter is that it's NOT recommended for Wardens to have children because of the tainted blood.
@@SeventhheavenDK My bad. Two Grey Wardens can't conceive together, but a Grey Warden can have a child with a non-Grey Warden partner.
@@dyosaexmachina1751 I believe that is just an assumption on their part. There is a lot that is not known. The Grey Wardens don't know everything, even when they think they do. There is also a lot of power and mystery surrounding the Calenhad dragon-blood. Fiona got pregnant against all odds and was even cured, which was also thought impossible. So really, anything is possible.
@@dyosaexmachina1751 and his sister?
I'm more confused by the fact that Solas and the Inquisitor didn't bring up the fact that DWARVES CAN'T DREAM
Though to be fair, It was established as early in the 1st game and its expansions that dwarves could be pulled into the fade if the powerful enough magic, usually from some powerful demon or ritual, was employed. So on that note, while I do agree that they did do p*** poor job presenting the situation, I otherwise don't find itself to be that impossible within the context of the Dragon Age universe at least.
@An unimpressed Rooster , Yeah, no kidding, though I would imagine with the anchor probably qualifying as one of those weird and powerful types of magic, it has a lot to do with what's going on with that poor dwarf is going through at the moment.
I expected more, he didn't meet her so much as kicked her out on her ass.
Holy fuck I forgot Fiona was his mother... I also forgot her background as a grey warden. God dam, dragon age has so many lairs I keep missing “like the Dorian/iron bull fuck side story”
Wait What !?
The inquisitor floating on the dance floor lol
Why do they look like plastic dolls? Alistair’s outfit is so strange.
the outfit is strange because one of the comic artists messed up when adapting an existing DAO armor as this modified outfit, and then a DAI art guy based it off the bad art.
Is this some fan fic I've stumbled across cause alistairs mother ain't fiona it was a human female maid/arl eamon's younger sister.
It's covered in the Dragon Age books.
In the Dragon Age: The Calling book, it is revealed that Maric and Fiona have a child together, which Fiona gives over to Maric to be raised as human. The child is Alistair. She also inquired about Alistair in Inquisition, but doesn’t give any answers as to why. So yeah, that is canon.
Eamon’s sister is Cailan’s mother, not Alistair’s. And the maid was a cover up story, or possibly just gossip. After all, it’s never confirmed in a concrete way that they are related, he just follows a rumour that a maid from Redcliffe estate who died in labour also had a daughter.
@@badartxd I stand corrected good sir.
@@xyreniaofcthrayn1195 np! It’s pretty convoluted, and hardly gets explained in the games themselves, so I get the confusion ^^’
