I’m a simple person who just likes to talk about music… that’s it really, nothing crazy I guess.
Drake's crashing out HARD.

Just subbed. Like ur videos and the fresh perspective you offer. Keep it up yo 💪🏾
not a single lie told and some very interesting points made about the ramifications of drake’s hugely destructive behavior. drake initiated and participated in this beef and he contributed MASSIVELY to the media hype around anything Kendrick did, bc he was begging for it so relentlessly in his own releases. you'd have to genuinely be mentally impaired to deny that the existence of family matters, push ups, and etc on drakes end, is a form of promotion of any response kendrick could have by nature of the biggest rap battles between two heavy weights in hip hop who have seen success completely unprecedented by their forefathers. what drake is doing is a senseless betrayal of the creative while simultaneously biting the hand that feeds him. he's so destructive to himself and the industry as a whole that he can't see far enough past his own hurt feelings to find legitimate corruption within what is doubtlessly a genuine corrupt music industry-his inability to choose the right battles has umg looking righteous ASF by comparison. this is one of the most humiliating trajectories I've ever witnessed in the public eye, let alone hip hop.
Welcome to Team Hip Hop
Well I guess dot is going to have to sing not like us at the super bowl.
Drake is "... moving just like a degenerate."
All his antics are feeling distasteful
Love the reaction. Aubrey is acting like UMG doesn’t have an army of lawyers themselves. New sub
..and if as if he's the only artist UMG ever had or will ever have. The delusion is strong in Aubrey!
Dont worry, Snowchild, Drake is about to take another L. UMG is not the one to sue for defamation. Its Kendrick....he wrote the song & sang in public. Umg said in their Answer that they explained all this to him too so seems UMG knows more about culture than Drake. Drake may be talented as far as tge Arts but Dude couldve stood to get a little more high school bf dropping out. Hes not very sharp at all....or broke🙃. The 1st petition for a lawsuit was denied and this will be too🎉
👁👁TRUTH, TURN THE TV OFF 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
NEW SUB FROM EAST OAKLAND CALI 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
West Coast the best Coast AND I SAY THAT FROM CAROLINA!! I left in my mind with Pac way back when!🎉
Suppose Drake releases 100 songs and Kendrick releases 10 songs. Of course Drake has a better chance of being #1. But check this out: If Kendrick only has 10 songs and is STILL competitive with Drake while putting in less time, less work, little to no promotion, little to no social media presence, no visuals or support from the industry-all that’s got to annoy Drake. If you got to put out 10 times the work just to say you’re a #1 streamed artist and that’s all you have to fall back on, you better hope there’s not another artists who comes back with the same formula and excels. The fact that Kendrick can go away and only release an album every few years or so, come back and STILL be competitive and relevant, while Drake is constantly working, constantly putting out songs regardless of quality-that must make Drake somewhat resentful. Kendrick can come out every few years, release an album that gets widespread praise, wins Grammys and does well on the charts, then go back inside and spend time with his family, doing whatever he wants, it must be a life that Drake at least wishes he had. Must destroy him that Kendrick is now an independent artist who also gets along with his record company, while Drake is suing his. Drake can never just go away for a long period like that. He constantly has to be in the spotlight. He constantly needs narcissistic supply in order to function. That’s got to be a very lonely life. People can say anything they want about Kendrick Lamar, but he is an independent artist who only relies on UMG to distribute his music. That’s all. He is independent and has the freedom to so what he wants. And he doesn’t have beef with no record label. Drake does. Remember that: who gets along with people and who does not? It’s over for Drake. Maybe he can go on and do R&B or some other genre, but not rap. Honestly, he’s not that good and has never been that good of a rapper.
You have another sub from me. Congrats. Hey, listen: let’s please try to fall out of the habit of coddling Drake and making excuses for him. Not only does he have a very long history of bullying people, attacking women and betraying friends, he also has a history of weaponizing the law and using the industry for his conflicts with other artists, including beefs. Examples: (a) beating Meek Mill, he didn’t let up on the guy. “Back to Back” was EVERYWHERE! Drake rapped it during sports casts, he toured with it, etc. He was getting MAJOR support from the industry to attack Meek and the diss song was nominated for a Grammy but ironically lost to Kendrick. (b) When Pusha T destroyed Drake, he put a cease and desist out on the door and got the label to stop playing the song as well. Fast forward to now and I will make a case as to why you should not feel sorry for or coddle Drake… I’m concerned that people who report on this Drake lawsuit situation are dismissing or forgetting that it was Drake who first initiated this beef with Kendrick and the first to go negative, attacking his partner Whitney. Three of the four Drake diss songs attack Whitney Alford and no one seems to care. As a woman this is a major injustice. People need to stop making Drake into a victim while Kendrick is the big, bad villain. Kendrick moved in silence. Not on the socials. Not running his mouth in interviews. Not dropping millions of videos and flooding the streams with hundreds of songs. He has moved quietly for the most part. And yet, Drake is made to be this victim, continuing to antagonize and bait people. When will it end? Just please think about it. And really, the battle was over at “Euphoria”.
All Drake did was show that he's Not Like Us. He's not from the HipHop world. JayZ came out just fine after Nas took him to task.
Drake is on the inside of UMG...They did KDot like they did for Drake...So he knows the Dirt UMG does....
He is big enough that he could have taken the L, taken a break, and come back even harder. None of this makes any sense.
Yes, it does. It makes big sense and I’ll tell you why: Because he and Kendrick have been going after each other for years. Kendrick was always a thorn in Drake’s side. He was the one guy who he felt he had to beat because Kendrick constantly received accolades, awards and has a great level of respect than Drake. Deep down and despite what folk claim, Kendrick is really the better artist. He’s more creative, more daring and experimental, he’s a far better lyricist and a pretty great performer as well. Beating Kendrick would mean that Drake could have bargaining power to demand even more money from his label. Bottom line: Drake instigated this beef. He initiated it with Kendrick, teaming up with Cole for “First Person Shooter,” followed later by “Push Ups” which was one of his four diss tracks where he attacks Kendrick’s fiancee. The Culture is tired of Drake.
The crazy thing is Drake has a broader audience. Whereas Kendrick has a huge fan base but 10 less countries. Drake should have given a white flag generic you won and enjoy his pop/rap life. Kendrick is like a chef and Drake is a popular hot dog stand .
JUST SUBSCRIBED 😊 YOU SAID WE COULDN'T HAD SOMETHING GREAT ,BUT WE DID HAVE SOMETHING GREAT 😊❤ KDOT 🎉EXSPOSED DRAKE 😅😮😅
He was able to block Story of Adidon… he sued when he couldn’t block NLU
Interesting, if you have a source for that I would love to take a look at it cuz I had no idea 🙏
@@snowchild9837fyi he also blocked pusha t’s verses on other songs. Thats why Wiz Khalif said the lawsuit sounds like a Drake move and he wasn’t surprised. Thats why he was so cocky taunting Kendrick in the beginning. And it’s why he complained about UMG not stopping the record in the petition and lawsuit. He went into the beef expecting it to be rigged and got blindsided when UMG didn’t put their thumb on the scale this time. You should be able to find videos on TH-cam about it. I believe Pusha T himself talked about it.
@@ieshamusgrove7883 Yep...UMG put the breaks on "THE STORY OF ADIDON", but not fast enough, to stop Drake from losing that snicker deal with ADIDAS...Then J. Prince got in on it, because Pusha T had more information on Drake; that he didn't want to get out...All because Drake put Pusha T's fiancé's name in one of the diss...Like he always does... Drake was pissed about about losing the snicker deal and got UMG to block Pusha T from making music for quite a while...Then Drake came out with the album "Scorpion" and "In My Feelings" went viral, because someone made up a dance challenge on TIK TOK...And everybody forgot what happened...
@ is it on streaming services?
You said something like "we could have had something great" but I think when it comes to Lawbrey, there's no such thing as "we"
Drake is being a pathetic baby with this, the kind of loser to ruin a whole thing (rap culture, free speech for everyone, music) just cos he didn't like the outcome when he very well knew what he was doing by jumping in the game. Playing victim when he's rolling in money.
Me, living close to Antartica, having english as my third language and not really interested in US rap when all this happened, got to know about Not Like Us through a k-pop meme in June. That's how big a cultural reset that song is.
I’m a 60+ year old American black woman who never paid rap much attention….until this beef between Kendrick and Drake. Now, I’ve listened to Money Trees, Good Kid, Mad City, Swimming Pools, etc. Kendrick’s music is brilliant. Drakes music is ok but sounds like something my nephew made in his moms basement. There is no comparison which is why Kendrick won the Pulitzer Prize and Drake didn’t and never will
As a 62 yo American white woman, I've not seen such a cultural shift in popular music since grunge dethroned the hair bands. I was kind of "on the outside looking in" for that scene, too. But, the momentum swept over me like a wave. There is no denying brilliance.
@@fauxpinkytoo - I agree that there’s no denying brilliance and Kendrick’s music is brilliant! The fact that Drake know Kendrick’s music but STILL thought he was better is amazing. Our egos can really make a fool of us sometimes
What...Say Drake... Really. Not like is little work to Meet the Grams. Drake was simply not ready for what Kendrick had in hand. We the community love his work
A prep school in South Africa did a rendition of NLU.
Ethel said Preacher's Daughter is part of a trilogy and Perverts is a seperate project so they are still making 2 other records in the same vein as Preacher's Daughter.

10/10 picks
Goofy ahh video
honestly who cares? He clearly didn't care about music at any point, Testing was a bunch of collected beats in cheap attempt to appear "experimental" & there wasn't anything meaningful about this project, he's washed up pretty much since 2012-2013. Imma chceck the project when it's out, probably around late 2025/early 2026 but it won't be worth even 5% of hype it gets, Rocky was never passionate about music

Hey man! Ive been a fan of this video for a while, and I wanted to say thank you for the review! More music coming on the way! I would also recommend the “Dude Central” ep I made last summer! Thank you for listening! Peace and love 🕊✌️

@kaylanerdpersonthing3819 .....We don't talk about the iced out prime bottle okay? 💀💀💀
It's a good album, not his best but it still slaps. I don't think his career is over. Just saw him in concert on the 12th and he rocked the place. Still a fan

The song is only a little bit bad I think
@cosmic0808 It could have been so much worse I guess that's a plus 💀
Great take as always. I think it’s really funny that the nicest things I’ve heard people say about the song is “it’s not that bad” or “it’s not terrible”.
