What brand is the atc? Link?
Finally I've found not paid review. Thanks, man! LIKE!
Hi, first time on your channel, you have done a great job. I bought my fist cnc a month ago, Onefinity elite foreman and I decided to install ATC spindle. Never done this before but I think I have finished connecting all pneumatic valves, water cooling and flow sensor today and everything looks working manually for now :-) (changing tools by pressing the button manually I mean), I need to make places for toolholders and to set tool positions in masso. I have connected manual tool release the way so it doesn't work while spindle is spinning as a safety precaution. There are 2 things I couldn't find how to do. The first thing is how to configure tool holder sensors in masso, have no clue where to find that? The second thing is how to configure the pneumatic valve that helps to clamp the tool if the spring fails (tool retracting valve). -To solve the 1-st issue with toolholder sensors I was thinking to use "open door" input for that, but I am still thinking on it. -Tool retracting valve (that clamps the toolholder in place), I was thinking of two possible scenarios, 1-st method to mount the time relay to normally closed contact , so when the output is High and tool is released the time relay is off, but when output goes low and the spindle starts to clamp the tool, then the normally closed contact turns on the time relay and it triggers the return air valve for 5 seconds (5 sec. is showed in the spindle manual) 2-nd method is just to connect return air valve to NC contact directly, so whenever output for tool release goes low, the tool retracting valve will be turned on, but it will have to be under pressure almost all the time, though I have checked, the spindle is still rotating well in that circumstances so I think it will also work. I am not willing to ask about the way you have done it, not trying to get your secrets, just trying to hear your prrofessional opinion on my humble thoughts, if possible off course. I am not professional in this subject and I am sorry if I sounds stupid, as I said I have never done this before, learning from youtube 🙂, from guys like you,Thank you for that. English is also not my first language, so I apologize for my mistakes and for very long text.
All spindles are different, and so on, and the sensor can also vary. I have a few videos on installing my old ATC system, which I am no longer selling. But the ATC is without any sensors. But in the videos, I do kinda touch on the Masso layout and settings for an ATC. I would look over the docs for Masso on the ATC and also take a look at the forums. For the tool release, I would run that through the VFD itself to lock out the spindle from being able to open why it's running so it would look something like the selenoid In line with the VFD, and when the VFD is sending any type of power to the spindle, it will lock the selenoid out. Not allowing you to open the jaws by accident. Masso also has Open and Closed jaw sensor inputs. You need to make sure you have the correct sensors. Depending on the type of sensor, you might have to run some extra stuff to get them to play with Masso nicely.
@@solafidedesignskc Thank you so much for your reply, I will certainly watch all of your videos .👍
Will you be offering Shop or Affirm as payment options for the ATC?
No I wont be and i'm not even sure when I will be releasing the ATC as of right now
@@solafidedesignskc Hi Nick - does that mean that the pre-sale deal is still on?
@@scottgmail3769 I don't think I'll be offering an ATC system at this time. We do have an industrial-grade spindle kit, though!
Me likey
What’s the advertised runout of these new, less expensive spindles?
They claim around 0.005mm but who knows how true that is.
nice, i like it
Thanks man!
Looking good ... though we need the Masso upgrade that says some tools are in the rack and some will be hand feed. 😉
I 100% agree-swapping back and forth can be a pain. I am glad it saves the tool locations! When switching, though.
What are some of the main features that sets your ATC above competitors like pwncnc?
I don't really know anything about the pwncnc version. I ended up doing this kit almost a year ago but scrapped it because we switched to an American made Atc spindle and now we are switching back because of the price.
If you watch the full video I do how ever go into details about the safety features and other stuff that my kit has to offer.
I’m not fully aware of their safety features, so I was looking to your expertise on the main differences. It was a very informative video and I’m looking forward to the materials being posted in a couple weeks.
Geez dude...nice to know you're so proficient at Vcarve. Would be great if you could slow down a little and explain why you're making your selections and what they do. Otherwise, it's just like watching fly through the video as fast as your brain works.
Noted! I will slow it down in the next video. I have been using Vcarve for around 11 years, so some times I forget that.
Thank you for demo'ing the safety features.
Not a problem! any ATC system should have this! or I would hope lol
@solafidedesignskc I just ordered my Onefinity Elite after using one of their original machines for years. Still researching and learning about ATC setup because adding one of these is the biggest reason for making the upgrade. But I don't know, what I don't know.
Shoot me a message on the website, www.solafidedesignskc.com/ and I would be more than happy to give you my number so if you have any questions, I can answer them for you.
Great walkthrough of the safety features of your ATC system! As someone who has ran industrial CNC routers, I can say this kit provides a VERY similar experience to operating machines with a $50K price tag. Well done!
Thanks, man! I appreciate that! I ran a few industrial-grade machines. There is nothing better than running 1100IPM 0.75 doc in some plywood and watching the rooster tail fly :) Mostly cut commercial-grade cabinets out and honestly can't stand particle board or laminates anymore, lol
I don't see any information about this on your website?
Should have them up in about a week along with all the info. Working on the documentation and installation videos.
Looking forward to seeing that info also!
A full desktop enclosure laser does not laser in a angle, just the xTool F1.
cut test vs aluminum 6061 plate please
ill try and post a video soon of it
If you check out my shorts I posted a video
What about for the X axis? Is there some kind of accordion attachment for it and do you have this for the onefinity elite foreman’s?
working on the Foreman version. dont plan on the X axies though as i dont feel it really needs it.
How big is the hose you are using in that video?
2.5
I love the setup .... now I am the weakest link
I wish there was a dust collection boot for doing deep bowls. The problem is when the bit is right next to the inside wall of the bowl, where it seems no dust boot would work/fit.
how deep? are we talking
@@solafidedesignskc 3 inches and more.
@@TerrapinCreations666 I might try something soon with the nighthawk because it can actually use 3 inch brushes
@@solafidedesignskc The challenge is when the 3 inch long bit is cutting right up against the inside of the bowl. There’s a video I have in my channel, the giant chip bowl one.
@@solafidedesignskc th-cam.com/video/CunC9DjkpOw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=crCZypDdHEsYRxRR
What’s the largest surfacing bit you can put in it with the 2.5 version 80mm?
I wouldn't run over a 2-inch bit. The way the Onefinity mount is it's gonna be hard to get a boot that will run a bigger surfacing bit
Of course right after I buy a Nighthawk. Not complaining 😢 but that front mag release is awesome, want.
Im sorry man. been working on the design for a while now and I thought now was a good time to go ahead and drop it :(
Congratulations on the release of the new dust boot!
Thanks man!
Let me know when its available. Love my nighthawk but this looks pretty cool!! Way to go again!
I will man we definitely appreciate the support!!!!
They are on etsy and the website!
That’s a pretty neat design!
Thanks man!
Very impressive! Cant wait to get one myself!
At 0.48 timestamp you say biggest number, the numbers are negative.... you want the smallest number (Mr. Literal here). Also, if you can get a helper to do this with it sure helps a LOT. Seeing or feeling a small deflection 4 feet away is tough. A jog wheel also makes it easier ... on click on the wheel was about a 0.01" movement at x100.
Hey man check into the Further Fabrication Y400 CO2 laser build. Your the type of guy that could build one and come up with some awesome mods for it. I built the Y1200 (2'x4' roughly cutting area) for around $2,800. Still saving up the funds for your spindle kit. Thanks again for your Onefinity support!
Thanks man! ive been thinking about this I dont think a CO2 would be all that hard to build! did you make any videos on on the build?
@@solafidedesignskc No I didnt but the designer did explaining his step by step process for building it.
Want an ATC SO BADLY!!
Its a game changer
Keep up the content! Would be neat to see an ACM folded over box to then make into a Onefinity light box.
This is a great idea. I've actually done a ton of cnc miter folds!
Can you cnc plastic letters?
Yep!
are you actually using the tool holders on all 3 axis at one time?, if so how in the world is that configured?
you could set it up that way. atm I have it in manual mode
what is this "ruf" you speak of? 😆
Man, as I was editing the video, I was like, what did I just say? Ah, it's fine. lol
Had to get my jabs in lol!
May I see your license and registration sir?
😄 🤣
Whoa!!! 😮
:)
Big time upgrade.
It definitely is.
What's it making?
The benchy stl file
Hi there, I was analyzing your channel I saw your videos, and the channel niche uploaded every good video. Congrats! but due to optimization/SEO problems, your video isn't getting viral or you have low views, likes, and comments compared to your competitors
Where did you get the ATC spindle that works with the Masso ? thank you
It's a kit I sell. The ATC spindle is made in the USA, and there's a link to my website in the video description.
I am disappointed, I thought that was going to be a Bengal Tiger head.... darn KC folks .... Seriously though, nice job. Was the wood a maple?
Haha. Yep Wood is maple 🍁
What material is that in the first shot?
solid surface
Oh that’s actually a material 😆 thanks!
The end blooper clips made my day 😂
Have you got these ready for the elite foreman yet?
almost!
@@solafidedesignskc Guess we'll keep messaging then, lol
Proud to be the owner of one of the first of Nicks spindle kits and can’t recommend it enough. The support is fantastic and he’s an awesome guy to deal with!
Thanks man! We definitely appreciate it! Hope you are doing good.
Woohoo! This is great news, Nick. We moved from our old home to a new one, and my Onefinity has been shut down for 6+ months, but I should have it up and running in a week or two. This is one of the upgrades I hope to do this year.
I bet you can't wait to start using the CNC again! definitely reach out if you have any questions
Just got my OneFinity and was about to purchase a spindle.... Guess I'll be waiting for this! Can't wait to hear/see more about your kit!
thanks, man ill do another update video soon with all the info! about the drive and when pre-orders will go live
What is the Stiffy bar upgrade and why do I need one? Im thinking of buying a CNC and wondering why you might need one
The stiffy rail adds more rigidity. So if you wanna cut faster or deeper it will help out but definitely isn't needed on the onefinity!
Nick! It's FiberCross, I didn't know you were doing the youtube thing.
I haven't talked to you in a long time man I actually thought about you a few weeks ago!! Hope your doing good
How much$$$?
All of it
look up VZbot 235 they sell kits
@@Joshuabray1k lol
Which one is that? Does the stiffy give it more support to go that fast or is it not needed?
just now seeing this man. this is a stock onefinity onefinity journeyman. the stiffy rail helps with rigidity
This video absolutely made my day! 😂
Glad you like it!
