Welcome to my channel and thank you for looking in. If you enjoy the Great Outdoors I hope you'll find something here to inspire your own adventures.
Like many TH-camrs, I started putting videos on TH-cam to share them with family and friends. The filming and editing became a hobby which complements my love of the outdoors and when I am no longer physically able to get out and about, I will be able to relive my adventures from the comfort of my armchair 😊

Thank you very much. Yes, Galloway is a beautiful and wild area with very few visitors. Best regards from Scotland 🙋♂🐶
The autumn colors in the Cairngorms are absolutely stunning. Thank you friend for capturing and sharing such a beautiful glimpse of Scotland in the fall! Big Like!
Thank you very much for your kind comment. It's been a pleasure to share such fleeting beauty. Best wishes from Scotland 🙋♂
Wow, Ian! I'm speechless - amazing photography 😍😍I'm not a huge fan of Cairngorms but they look insanely beautiful through your lens.
Thank you Bart for your kind words. I'm no photographer though. These were all taken with my phone and it's the subject that deserves any praise that's going. Have a great weekend 🙋♂🐶
Love the autumn colours 😊 makes it a nice water with the music also, well done 👍👍
Thank you very much! I'm pleased you enjoyed it 🙋♂
Buona serata 🙏🙏🤗🤗💐🌺🌹🏔🏔🏔🏔
🤗🤗🐶
Caro Ian; ho visto ora i tuoi ultimi video e come sempre li ho trovati bellissimi.
Grazie cara Claudia.
Spectacular colours! Gorgeous photos! Thanks for sharing this wonderful Autumn display, Ian!! 🍁🔥🧡
Just had to share this fleeting moment Cindy. A couple of days later many of the leaves had fallen. Winter is on the way. Thanks for watching and for your kind comment 🤗🐶
This is a off tangent but when I was growing up in the 1960s my Father who was a keen gardener spoke about Ailsa Craig Seed Potatoes is it possible Potatoes did originate from this Island ? The Island and it's name always intrigued me during my teenage years . Great video interesting and enlightening .
Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment. A quick Google search brings up Ailsa Craig salad tomato but I can't find any references to seed potatoes. I suppose it's possible that when the lighthouse was manned, the crew grew their own potatoes on the flat ground adjacent to the lighthouse but that's only a guess.
I could feel the chill! Beautiful as always Ian! x
Hi Mary! Yes, we got lucky last week with the weather and the colours. I guess the leaves will be falling soon 🍂🍂 🤗
Thanks for sharing those beautiful leaves x
Hi Avril, couldn't keep them all to myself 🤗
Thanks Ian. Beautiful colours and soulful music. Meg looking good too.
Thanks Steve. Aye, wee Meg is doing well ☺
Hello! Ian. Ah, this is a stunning autumnal scene you've captured. I feel a little sad, along with the chilly weather, that the season of life-giving greenery is over. The scenery and the music really go well together. Meg!😍 I always feel so happy when I see a cheerful Meg in the video. Take care of yourself. To Ian and Meg.
Hi June! Thank you for your kind words. Winter isn't far away now and I hope we'll see you on some snowy adventures in Japan 🤗🐶😘
Beautiful ❤
Thank you, pleased you enjoyed it 🙋♂
Lovely autumnal colours lan. 😎
Aye, we're lucky we're here at the moment. I don't think the leaves will be on the trees much longer. All the best Kev 🙋♂🐶
Right! I’m on my way up there! 😉 Lovely Ian, best time in Scotland, I love this time of year ❤
and we've snow down to 800m at the moment. Mind you, it's forecast to get warmer next week 🤗
Nice Ian 🏴👌🏻 ATB Simon 🤠👍
Thanks Simon. All the best mate 🙋♂🐶
Hi Ian, Hi Meg, beautiful, I do love Autumn, the colours are just fantastic. That was a lovely little montage video. Have a lovely weekend, all the best. 😀🥾⛰🏕️🐶
Thank you Dave. I just felt I had to share this and I'm pleased you enjoyed it. ATB 🙋♂🐶
Nice video Ian 👍 😊
Cheers Arnstein 🙋♂🐶Have a great week
buonasera Ian ,i colori dell'autunno sono proprio belli, Meg è in piena forma 😊 ciao
Grazie cara Roberta. Ti auguriamo una buona settimana 🙋♂🐶😘😘
Stunning images Ian, I do love those crisp Autumn days. Hope Meg wasn't too chilly after her dip!
Thanks Matt ☺No, Meg has a really thick double coat and her skin doesn't even get wet!
As someone with Orkney and Shetland DNA I found this very interesting. I shall have to try and get up there sooner rather than later! Preferably to see the Midnight sun.
It's a fine round lan. Good day for it too. 😎👌
Thanks Kev 👍👍A very under-rated part of Scotland and my 'go to' area when the Arran ferry is unreliable, which has been quite a lot lately 😖
Quite a nice trail with that amount of elevation gain. Looks like something we would enjoy very much. I guess its a bit cold, but would one be allowed to swim in those lakes?
Sure, there's nothing to stop you swimming in the lochs. They won't be polluted but I've seen algae on some of them which may not be particularly good for you.
What a grand tour Ian. We did these hills more years ago than I care to admit to 😉 but we had a lovely day too, really peaceful. Thanks for bringing back a lovely memory! TTFN! Sue 🤗
Hi Sue! Aye, it's a lovely area and only 1.5 hours from home. We're in Aviemore for the week with snow forecast for tomorrow/Thursday. We binned the Assynt trip due to the weather but managed a couple of good hikes in the Gorms Sunday and Monday. Catching up on YT stuff now and I'll get to your latest next. 🤗🤗
Thanks Ian, for a nice glimpse into an area I don’t know at all. Looks lovely. Very relaxing music too.
Thank you kindly Steve. You could maybe pop up for a night or two while you're in the Lakes. It's only about two and a half hours from Keswick to Glen Trool☺
I’ll take you up on that sometime Ian!
That's a great walk Ian, 992m elevation though, does it not bug you that you were only 8 off making it 1000? 😅 nice mix of openland and forest, would definitely like to see more of thid area myself
🤣🤣Not at all Matt! For me it's all about the views and having a good day out rather than clocking numbers 😄There are so many options for routes in Galloway that get you away from the honey pots like Merrick. I'm sure you'd enjoy the area. I'll be catching up on your travels later 🙋♂🐶
Brilliant hike Ian and Meg is taking it in her stride too 😊👌🏻 What a beautiful part of the world !🏴 Thanks for bringing us along mate Very best wishes Simon 🤠👍
Cheers Simon! Aye, Galloway is definitely worth a visit, I'm sure you'd enjoy it. Best wishes to you and the family Ian and Meg 🙋♂🐶
Hi Ian, Hi Meg, absolutely beautiful, what an area, and a place I bet that not many people frequent, instead choosing to go further north to the highlands. All the best, I’ve got a new video out tomorrow or Monday from my adventure this weekend.😀⛰🥾🏕️
Hi Dave! You're correct, we rarely see anyone else on our hikes down there once we're away from the car parks and forest walks. I'm catching up on my YT subscriptions today so I look forward to seeing your latest . All the best, Ian and Meg 🙋♂🐶
Amazing
Thanks Dave 👍👍
Nice video Ian. Thank you for sharing 😊Have a lovely weekend 😊
Thanks Arnstein! Hope you're keeping well. Have a great week 🙋♂🐶
Stunning video The Falls look fabulous Stunning views An area we've never visited but need to add it to our list ❤🏴 Have a great weekend ❤️
Thank you guys! You don't have to go far off the beaten track for solitude in Galloway. Just be careful on the path to the falls, it's a wee bit narrow and in poor condition. Have a great time when you go! 🙋♂🐶
Stunning, done so well. I’m just back from Orkney, so beautiful, lovely people with so much to see. Can’t wait to go back. Truly magical ❤
Hi Clare! I would love to return to Orkney as well, it's a wonderful place. Thanks for watching and for your kind comment 🙋♂
Hello Ian. It's a pleasant hike😃 Are there any beautiful villages anywhere? This is definitely one of them I like the mountains, but I was born and raised in a village by the sea. When I walk in these places, I can smell a faint scent of the sea. I also look forward to fresh, delicious food and dinner. Thanks again for showing us this beautiful video. Best regards to Meg!
Hi June! There are five small towns along the coast and they are linked by roads and footpaths. In the hills behind the coast there are small villages and we visited a couple of them but there are very few footpaths, only the roads. I'm happy this reminded you of the sea. 🤗🐶😘
Lovely hike! The view from the hill to the bay below is really amazing 😍😍👍👍
Thank you Bart. It's a lovely piece of coastline 😊
Lovely video Ian. Good idea to get an early start to avoid the heat and crowds. Brought back happy memories of a holiday we spent wandering around the Cinque Terre a few years back: don’t think it was quite as busy then.
Thanks Steve. I'm sure it was quieter when you went - it certainly couldn't have been any busier!
Bellissimo!!! Che posto meraviglioso! Ciao Ian come state? Un caro saluto 👋
Grazie Dario!
That - looks - beautiful, Ian. What a lovely part of Italy. Olives, herbs - heaven! TTFN! Sue 🤗
It was just what we needed Sue. Sea air, sun and warmth and the smell of herbs and jasmine. Worth putting up with the crowds for ☺
Hi Ian. Wow what a beautiful location. Those coastal towns and villages in Italy are just stunning, the views you get from them are incredible. Really looking forward to the rest of the adventure. All the best mate 😀⛰🥾🇮🇹
Thanks Dave. Aye, a lovely stretch of coast. The walks between the five towns were very busy so they don't make for interesting viewing. All being well our next adventure will be in the far northwest of Scotland in October. All the best. Ian and Meg 🙋♂🐶
We have heard about this hike before. It is high up on our list, so nice to get some impressions from this trip.
Make sure you get an early start. From mid-morning onwards the paths are heaving with folk making for an unpleasant and frustrating walk.
@@IanTupmanOutdoors we heard as much before. I guess thats the problem with all "instagram worthy" places by now... When we went to Oeschinensee our second time, it was almost unbearable. Since the places become more famous, so many people come for their instagram pictures.
Nice one Ian, I was expecting those views but not how quiet it was. Will have to make sure I get up and out early when I visit. Been on the list for some time now!
Cheers Matt! Yeah, from mid- morning the sections of path between the five towns were mobbed. Folk were at a standstill waiting for others to pass them....not my idea of a hike!
Very nice Ian looks lovely 👌🏻🇮🇹 ATB Simon
Cheers Simon. It was a lovely break from the Scottish summer. Best wishes to you and yours 🙋♂
Nice one lan. Cracking place for a wander. Nice shaded forests from the heat & a cracking coastline...The wife is in Ibiza for a wedding the now, am stuck home with the dogs, so I said I want a hiking holiday next year. 😉 Maybe get to the Alps, Dolomites or the Balkans.
Thank you Kev. A welcome break from the dire Scottish summer! I can highly recommend the Dolomites for a hiking holiday. We used to go every June/July to avoid the busy holiday period. If you want any recommends for accommodation let me know, we still go every winter and stay in the same places. All the best 🙋♂
Lovely place for a hike! Beautiful view. Thanks for sharing 👍
Hi Graeme. Aye, it's a lovely route with so much to see along the way. Definitely needed an early start though!
Very nice video Ian. Hope you have a wonderful weekend 👍
Thanks Arnstein and the same to you 🙋♂
Did this walk many times ,fabulous 👍
We'll definitely go back and do it again when the midges have disappeared 😁Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment 🙋♂🐶
