It's the same in Nusa Penida. $150k to drive 9 minutes. I haggled to $130k but I couldn't bother for more. The taxi mafia have a monopoly on certain areas, even in Bali in some places. Always check the map before booking 😂. And review everything you see or do you will find all the scams noted in the Google reviews 😂. The fast boats are the hardest to get right. I used Angkal, Einstein, and Eka Jaya. Eka Jaya was the best but even they have many horrible reviews and put my luggage up on top I was scared it would fall out of the boat.

Randomly came across your video.. Annoying, click bait title when the reason you had a bad boat experience was because you bought the cheapest boat ticket possible. A good boat is 500k-800k - Semaya One is half of that. Having lived on the Gili’s for 2 years, 500k from Padang Bai to Kuta is cheap. It’s usually 400-500k from Padang Bai to the airport. I get you agreed on the price but the driver probably sold himself short to get the job. You’re travelling in an area where tourism hasn’t been around for a long time, yet you’re painting it with a massive brush. Enjoy your time in Lombok and Bali but this video is a reach.

Lombok is bad, so foreigners should have trusted local guide or else.
