If you unscrew the two handles you can extend the pick so it doesn’t pop out.
@@isabellam1936 yes you can but sometimes the adjustment just isn’t enough
I get the spacer thing; however, the probability that the top disc will start to become damaged is greatly increased. Top disc tensioning is not my preference. Your hand looks terribly uncomfortable and susceptible to fatigue. I like rear tensioning much better on these wide open keyways; less fatigue and no guesswork about setting the depth.
@@laurenarndt464 rear tension is fine but still judgment and guesswork as my pick tips go straight passed the bottom disc and you either need to judge where that disc is or use magnets to lift the tension tip to the correct height. I used front tension as that’s what most people have, people seeing me rear tension with a silver bullet I thought would be counterproductive as most don’t have a pick to do that with and I like to try to encourage people to try thanks for checking the vid out 👍🏻
@thecrappylockpicker4696 Well, what do you think? I assume you saw my tools.
hello and thank you very much for sharing I just have one question I got my tool stuck inside can you show me a technique to get it out please that would help me a lot thank you very much
Horrible horrible tool awful to use and gives inaccurate decodes
@@simonmg6797 yep but does open your door when your keys are inside 😂
Could I use this with a 5 pin
@@r1chardjw I have used it with a 5 pin it it’s t as easy as the marks and t always in the correct place but definitely works
Do you ride a moped by any chance? Lol
@@hoog111 not for about 45 years 😂
i have an kronos epg and it doesnt rly seem to push in the back pins or something i see the first 1-2 go down nothing after that
Where can I bay this rack that the padlock is placed on ?
You mean the vice ? It’s a panavice 350 I bought it on Amazon
why dont you do it with lock the right way up
Is that you Julian it's Jacob
Yep
This is a great video. Ive been trying to pick this same lock with absolutely no joy. The pins drop all over the place and at times it feels like everything is set (just like this). Seeing so many videos of these just falling open and the bloke going on about how easy it is, is enough to drive a sane person mad. Well done
Thanks
Just about to start my journey trying to open one of these Russian dual custody padlocks that I got from the Irish Lockpicker - That was brilliant mate 👍 Thank You Very Much. Yeah, I'm enjoying a Whisky 🥃 🥃 🥃 Cheers mate 👍
Thanks mate they can be a little annoying but fun too I’m sure you’ll l crack it good luck
@@thecrappylockpicker4696 thanks 👍 🍻
you hold it wrong you need to be more stable and didnt work for you because you over piked the pins
Where did you get model yale 6b cause i can't find them on internet ?
UKLP
@@thecrappylockpicker4696 thx
For some reason no matter how I adjust my Lishi I don't seem to be able to get the 6th pin. Any ideas where I am going wrong?!
What lishi do you have is it the 6B ?
What lishi do you have is it the 6B ?
Miss the videos, hope all is going good.
All good maté thanks will get back to videos after the Christmas break 👍🏻
@@thecrappylockpicker4696 awesome! Was thinking bout ya. Just hadn’t heard or seen ya in abit. Big fan And really enjoy ur channel. Happy holidays Julian and fam! From my family to yours! Hope I wasn’t disturbing ya! Hippy pickin and look forwards to seeing you after the new year!
Which Lishi is best for Abus 65/50 padkey? Does Sc1 fit in Abus?
No I don’t think so and it’s not about the lock brand it’s the keyways shared by many of them the Abus I picked in the video has the Y1 keyway also tied in many yale locks also era
ive just recieved one of these in the post and i'm messing about with an ERA lock too - hence me being here - subbed. 👍👍
Cheers! Nice stack run way to go in the oven!
Don’t give up!
the pressure you give is too big to the tensioner..
Well the channel name is accurate.
Yep
Is this 6B also good to pick 5 pin cylindrical euro locks?
Yes Ive picked both with it it’s just on some 5 pins the marks don’t line up so you need to feel each one but easily done
@@thecrappylockpicker4696 Thnx buddy.
I'm liking the looks of those
They are cool to play with 👍🏻
@@thecrappylockpicker4696 so much to learn a whole world of things opening up to me the more I get in to this sport so many different locks tools etc Ive a long way to go lol 😆
Hey Crappie, it's been a while since we have talked. Well done with the Lishi pick. I love picking with mine. Hey if you would like to swap challenge locks, ì got some dusies from Harry BOW, Rob Lawn, Berry Bradford. Simply brilliant challenge locks. Hit me up
Rather than just resetting a lock if I overset pins I tend to just let off slight tension to help them fall to shear. Takes a bit of practice but can work well.
That's what I'm learning too its very delicate but yea can be done
😀👏👏👏 that’s what makes these tools so fun😅👍 well done 🐈⬛🐾🐈🐾🇬🇧🍻
Thanks mate 👍🏻 🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈
Forget the shiny light, shockingly great job getting the open even though things didn't quite line up. Nice!!!
Sorry just realised the light is shining on the bloody pick 😂
S'alright mate, I'm sure we'll all cope😁👍definatley putt8ng one 9f these on my Christmas list 🤣all the best mate👍🍻
@@Nicks-Picks thanks mate 👌
Nice work buddy. You're loving that new toy 🤪
Did your Silver Bullet come with the Abloy Classic Tensioner and Picking tip or did you have to purchase them separately? The reason I ask is I haven't seen them on the Silver Bullet website. Thanks
No I bought them separately I got my SB directly from Matt (Huxley Pig) and he made the tip and tensioner for me
Good review mate. You remembered the names better than most 👍
Thanks mate I tried lol 😂
Awesome job! There were a few times I thought it was going to pop but it held on. Lishi pick beats the standard pick 🙂👍🏻🔓
They are great fun for sure mate 👍🏻
Great picking 😀 yes much faster then with regular pick and tension wrench!!! Cool 😎 🐈⬛🐾🐈🐾🇬🇧🍻👍👍👍👍
I love the Lishi picks they are great fun to play with 👍🏻🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈
@@thecrappylockpicker4696 😀👍
Lovely lock, nice job mate. You lnowbits half decent if you have to drop a few on the way😁👍🍻
Very true mate good tolerances 👍🏻
Very nice indeed 👍 👍 🍻 🍻 🍻
Thanks 🙏🏻
Lol an absolute swine 😆 well done
Cheers mate 👍🏻
Very curious about the lock your are working on here. It looked like there may have been a fair mix of spools and serated pins.
Well done bud 👏
Cheers mate 👍🏻
Technically, that's not a pick. It's a "pin reader/decoder". If you had written down those depth shear points pin by pin as you found them, you could have cut a key (with a code machine, a clipper, or even a file). With a picked or shimmed cylinder already turned, same same, with full disassembly and pin dump avoided. If you had just "felt and logged", then wandered off, it would be a 2 minute exercise, a minute to cut a working key, and return visit at your leisure to get in with a key and scoop up the Rolex collection (or get paid by a satisfied customer, lol)
I'm a bit like you. All I know is there are wide open keyways, ones that's not so wide open and others where you have to be David Beckham to bend the pick round the warding 🤣. Those spools were doing their job really well in this Abus. Have you spp this lock? Would be interesting to see if the spools work just as well against a spp. Cheers, great video as always 🙂👍🏻
Well picked!!😀👏👏👏 🐈🐾🐈⬛🐾🇬🇧🍻
Thanks mate getting the hang of it lol 🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈⬛🐈
@@thecrappylockpicker4696 yes!! I think it the Yale Y2 key way. Will have a look at my catalog to confirm 😀
@@chriscapune7873 I’m reliably informed it’s a Y1 by GaV the locksmith but what do I know lol 🐈🐈
@@thecrappylockpicker4696 😅 I just missed it by one😅😂🤣
@@chriscapune7873 I was surprised how many different manufacturers locks can be opened with this Y6B tool 🐈🐈🐈⬛👍🏻
Nicely done. I Cant believe i was first to like. That in itself is like picking open a lock. Lol 🤣 👍
😂😂 so true mate
Mick 😅👍
Nice! Well done and a very decent time too. That pick is a nice piece of equipment. Looking forward to seeing it in action on more locks.
Will do mate thank you 🙏🏻
Well done!! I go for a click on one or two pins then I just bounce to find the false sets . When I do this I keep check to see if I have drop anything. That technique seems to work best for me. My video of the Yale 300/C 63 is a good example of what I am talking about 😀 🐈🐾🐈⬛🐾🇬🇧🍻
Thanks chris I’ll check it out 👍🏻🐈🐈
@@thecrappylockpicker4696 it’s a funny technique I use, but it seems to work well for me😀 🐈⬛🐾🐈🐾🇬🇧🍻
Made that look fun. Even though it does give ya perfect pick placement. It still was a process. Nice demo. Makes me want one😂🤷🏼.👏👏👏😎
My pick placement is always perfect 😂😂
They definatley look like something I want to have a play with. Thanks for sharing mate and nice picking 🍻👍😁
Cheers mate 👍🏻
I've purchased one today not having much joy gotta keep practicing especially as I'm an auto locksmith
its worthy to buy Bro
