It tends to be easy to overlook people who inspire you when you have them so close to you, and I've just realize how important he was when I was growing up. He taught me how to use the computer when I was a kid, he taught me how to be a good musician and a good professional and to always do the best I can with everything I do.

This is one of those songs I thought I wasn't ever gonna be able to play it correctly when I first heard it. Chad Smith makes what appears to be a simple drum beat a complete masterpiece with his left foot counting inbetween the bass drum notes. It seems simple, but at least for me it took a lot of practice and time to get it right.

Turns out Hot Water Music is more of a punk/hardcore type of band, but with this song the did something absolutely amazing and in my opinion, way more interesting, musically speaking. Lyrics are truly introspective...
