After aligning the engine, do I need to adjust something on the swing arm? I’m getting clunky.???

just found this viedo on alignment. is there any place in washington state that does these alignment??? great to know that bike may not be running straight.

Bro you phonied out on tv. Here are some recommendations that I gathered from your tv fakeness: First thing I would do is jack off on the hinges. The enzymes in the sperm are a natural rust inhibitor and lube the joints. Then I would take a dump as close as possible to the compressor. The protein elements from the dump would seal up the gaskets on the pumps and rejuvenate the elasticity of the o rings and the diaphragms. Then a qualified HVAC tech could refill the system while also repeating steps 1 and 2. Last but not least I would polish it off with a piss waste of a case of beer from a Saturday afternoon (hint have to hold it for the full 24 pack) the natural enzymes of the urine and high pressure piss from holding it through a case would not only preserve the finish but remove all of the dirt. Caution make sure machine is unplugged!

Hey Chief, Schwinn bounced the serial number locations around over the years. Some early versions are on the bottom bracket, after that they moved to the left rear axle dropout and the later ones til they stopped Chicago manufacturing in 92, the number moved to the bottom of the head tube where the Schwinn tin badge was. If you wanna find out what year your Schwinn was made (strictly the cantilevered frames that used the single piece Ashtabula forged cranks) you can find the date of manufacture on the the pedal crank s but you hafta pull the cranks to see it as its in between the crank bearings.

Harley engineers the motorcycle. The frames are welded in fixtures . The power train is machined in fixtures. The swing arm is made in a fixture. The motorcycle is assembled from close tolerance parts . That is why the adjustable links were changed to non adjustable. The 2009 frame change to 4 mounts from 3 made the bike much more stable. If the bike was that far out you would have not been able to ride it at highway speeds and the tires would be sawtoothed.The alignment this guy is talking about is only done on 2008 and down touring and2017 and down dyna. The dynas and2008 down bike did have adjustable links.The service manuals show how to align these bikes. This guy is doing the procedure for older bikes on a new one . If the 2009 up bike is out of alignment the problem is worm 8:31 mounts not the non adjustable link. He is masking the real issue. Fix it right or not at all.

I earned my first bike by selling newspapers, the Seattle P.I., but in Libby Montana about 1970. I was the only one in town selling them and the paper route was real small. I discovered if I went into bars I could sell them to people in there. That is where I learned to play pool. Back in that day no one cared I was only10 years old. One day I was lining up my shot and some big old hand grabbed me from behind around the neck and drug me out to the car, DAD!???? Never stopped me from going back. By the time I was 15 I was playing pool for beers. The P.I. had a program where, depending on how many papers you sold, you could earn free items. They had this beautiful bike you could earn, and you could get one of them wheel generators with it to run your headlight. Mine was totally tricked out with all the goodies. Sparkle glitter in the seat, streamers coming of the white handle grips, copper metal flake color and the headlight with the generator. I was the envy of every kid in the neighborhood and no one else could get a bike like mine because they were not for sale. I don't think it was a Schwinn. I don't know what it was, but it was not a stingray style bike. It was similar style to the one here, whatever you call those. Now I'm 64 and don't drink beer or play pool, ha ha ha ha!!!

This is only on Dyna models (Except for FXR) rubber mounted engine/trans models the swing-arm pivot mount is the rear of the transmission. FLST’s don’t have this issue as much

Well, I don’t know about all this very important to be aligned with the bike, but she doesn’t even know how to ride properly in corner. I just don’t believe that many bikes are out of alignment. I’ve had a number three Harleys and I’ve never had a problem.

Soooo? Isn’t the swing arm hinged on the frame? How does tweeking the front motor mount correct the rear alignment???? Wouldn’t the frame need to be flexed (ie bent back into being square?

remember fixing flats by patching inner tubes as a kid, no one does that anymore, fifty plus years of memories come back watching this

too bad Schwinn went under, they made millions of great bikes

grew up with Schwinn bikes, had Mustang, other ones, six kids in the family, wish we'd kept those bikes, they'd be worth a lot now, they were rugged and lasted a long time

I loved watching your show! I wish it was still in. You’re the best at restoration and have awesome skills. I have a question for you. I inherited a Cavalier css-8-64 Coca Cola Vending Machine. It was in my Dad and Husband’s place of business for years. I never noticed it before but it has a PEPSI Marquee on it instead of a Coca Cola Marquee. Could you please give me advice as to where I can get a Coca Cola Marquee for it and how to remove the Pepsi Marquee and install the Coca Cola Marquee. The vending machine runs, lights work, it’s in pretty good shape and I’d like to sell it. I’ve had it listed but no offers. I’m asking $300.00 for it. I think if it had a Coca Cola Marquee instead of the Pepsi Marquee, it would have sold by now. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!😊

The serial tells you year, month and day of manufacture, and that is all. No color or model. All you need is the appropriate parts and correct year frame (middleweight or baloon tire) and you can build what you want. If you want real usable info go to the cabe, classic antique bike exchange, or bike forums and don't do what this guy is. If I walked into his shop and found my crank in a vice like what he did here, I'd fire him. Immediately.

Flip the seat cushion over , the date of manufacture is stamped on the underside.

I found an old Schwinn in a flea market pretty rough shape fixed it up and now I have almost 2,000 Mi on it paid $25

The serial number doesn't tell you whats the original color 😂😂😂 lol thats ridiculous But rhe serial number will tell you what year was made and serial number not always there 😂 1956 to 1968 its there
