Love Her Madley - The Doors : Bass Transcription
Another Bass Uncovered ... Transcription of the challenging bass part of "Love Her Madley", recorded by The Doors in 1971 on the album "L.A. Woman". The bass is played by Jerry Scheff, best known for his work with Elvis Presley from 1969 to 1977. This way we want to give Jerry credit for his contribution to the recording of the album L.A. Woman. Unfortunately several excellent bassists who played for the Doors' studio recordings never get the credits for it in documentaries about the Doors and their albums. You will probably need to slow down the speed in order to practice this rather fast bass track. You will find this option in the "Settings" button in the lower richt corner of the video. You may want to receive this transcription in pdf format? Just send me an e-mail (lgrillet@hotmail.com) and you will receive it free of charge.

One of the nice aspects of jazz: great playing often combined with hilarious humor! Love it!
Thanks for your comment. Maybe you are then also familiar with "major holley laughing in rhythm" on TH-cam. Excellent. (th-cam.com/video/Ehr_dc4bL5c/w-d-xo.html)
