I know. This game forces you thinking to something too profound to make a reasonable choice in few minutes. You need time to elaborate. Also, you missed to ask the Narrator what the Princess is. He would have told you that she is the embodiment of change. As death is a big change, she embodies that concept, although she also embodies the concept of birth. She embodies suffering, but also joy. Hate, but also Love. The choice is then between risking to keep the possibility of change, retaining both awful and wonderful aspects of life (including death), or getting rid of it, making everybody living in a never-ending stasis, whether they liked it or not. There were alternatives, however, and you got one of them, but there are others I would not spoil.

Here's my recommendation for all the powers you should have upgraded right now (note: you'll have to restart the level and reset powers again before doing this) SPEED BOOST 6 DO NOT UPGRADE TELEPORT DO NOT UPGRADE TELEPATHY PRIMAL FEAR 5 (believe me, stunning enemies is VERY useful) TELEKINESIS 6 (this makes gathering shards easier) The reason you shouldnt upgrade teleport or telepathy is mainly because: 1. Teleport is useful for teleporting behind enemies but in terms of how far you'll get away from them using this ability, it's really not worth it. Speed boost is typically more useful for getting away from enemies. 2. Telepathy reveals enemies' locations in the maps by showing a red particle effect (or something like that), however, when upgrading it, it only reduces the cooldown between uses. As for why upgrading speed boost, primal fear, and telekinesis is necessary, well, i guess i could explain that. REASONS FOR UPGRADING SPEED BOOST: When you upgrade the Speed Boost ability, it increases the speed and momentum you get when utilizing the ability and reduces the cooldown, and it's often a handy ability when you have an enemy chasing after you that's really fast. The enemies in some levels are quite quick and this ability is useful when you NEED to get away from them. REASONS FOR UPGRADING PRIMAL FEAR: Primal Fear is a stun ability, though I'm sure you already knew that. When you upgrade primal fear, it increases the range of the stun blast it shoots out, and the cooldown. The main reason for upgrading this ability is that, well.... some enemies coming up are more persistent than others, and stunning them is oftentimes the more reliable and effective alternative. Plus, there's also the fact that Primal Fear has an exasperatingly long cooldown, and you want to make sure you're using it as quickly as possible without having to wait a ton of time. REASONS FOR UPGRADING TELEKINESIS: This ability absorbs any nearby shards in a large radius, but that's only for when you upgrade the ability. This ability is EXTREMELY; and I mean, EXTREMELYYYYYYYYYYYYY, useful for collecting large amounts of shards more efficiently without randomly stumbling around the map looking for them. The amount it picks up when it is upgraded to the maximum you'll find very helpful, so, uh.... DEFINITELY UPGRADE THIS! Sorry if I typed a lot, just thought I'd make a couple suggestions to make some of the tougher levels coming up a bit more manageable for you. Hopefully you read all this, though do note this is just my opinion and you can still keep the current power setup if you want to, I just highly advise using this. Feel free to leave feedback if you want.

btw when you get your next power i recommend resetting your powers and upgrading speed boost to max while also... upgrading your next ability to max as well.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game! I was nervous recommending it because of the scene with Brian. That's the only photo I took my entire playthrough, because I thought I'd need it for evidence 😭, and it was my only picture that showed in the end credits followed by the others of him and his dad 😭
