I lost my first hamster two months ago from the way you described coco he acted just like her and I went through the same thing I still cry every single time I think of him he was my baby and now I don’t know how to move on I wish I could have given him a bigger cage and deeper bedding but my parents wouldn’t let me I asked almost every day of his life so im going to give another hamster a great life because there are so few out there that get that I’m not going to get another hamster until my parents let me get a bigger cage so that it can have a great life

Warning: carful when buying female hamsters from petstores who are housed with males i bought a hamster and it was pregnant and i cant take care of all 5 so im giving away 4 to a shelter after they become 8 weeks old

Your cage is so good. You’re already in the good step to be a great hamster mom one thing I would recommend though is a water dish instead of a water bottle that is usually targeted towards hamsters cause it will chipped their teeth and not really that healthy for them and it’s a lot harder for them to get water out of the water bottles, but you can always get like some tiny little bowl for them. I usually use a soy sauce, sushi dipper, kind of thing but you were doing so good in the beddings thick enough for them. The tunnel.❤

Need update on your new hamster how's he doing?

I got a syrian hamster 3 months old and she died 😢3rd day 😢she was doing well but the 3rd morning i woke up just the see her dead 😭idk what went wrong but i guess she must be upset by moving from one home to another and coz of shock she died or idk why let me know plz coz i wanna get another hamster but before that i want to know the reason behind her death so that if its my mistake it won't get repeated again...and. In just 3 days i was so attached to her and i couldn't Stop crying so i cant imagine the pain' which u suffered from after keeping your coco for 2 years 😢 rip.. coco and my hamster i didn't even gave her name i was searching for good one but before that she passed away 😢

I love that you watched Victoria raechel! A lot of people don’t do enough research before getting a hamster, and they decide that the store cages are plenty of room for a hamster. I’m so impressed with the people who actually do research on hamsters and get all the right things. Thank you so much Katelin!

Hey Katelin I love your videos I also own a hamster and have done much research I would recommend a water bowl dish insted of a dropper using a dropper hurts the hami neck which could lead to a shorter life span much love ❤

The relief I felt when you showed a preview of the setup was immense, I work at a PetSmart and I will steer people to buy their enclosures from other sources because nothing we carry is good for them. The large fish tanks are good too! I generally try to avoid things that make me reach in from above if I can. I'm not too sure what you meant by the "hamster person", unless you just meant their pet care associate. I don't know about petco, but at PetSmart we don't really know how old the hamsters are when we get them in - they don't tell us. I do know that all of the hamsters we receive are less than a year old and usually they haven't reached sexual maturity yet, to give a basis.

You got the right desicion to get a Syrian, they’re the friendliest and loyal to their owners I have a Syrian myself and they’re doing well since I got them and the best thing is they will live longer if they have proper care and happy!

Grief doesn't have a time limit, nor does it ever go away - you just learn to live with it. Even though I've lost hamsters, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, degus, gerbils, cats, birds... I still remember them... And I miss them.

i recomend u to try using a small bowel that ur hamster can drink from reason nr 1.easyer to drink. and reason nr.2 the tung of the hamster can get stuck in the bottel. But every thing else in the incubator is good
