Hi Mr. Olsen, is there any possibility of obtaining the score for your cadenza? I'm going to perform this piece and I'm interested in it.
RobinLSL Hi Robin, I'm sorry to say that I improvised the cadenza, and don't have a score for it! It might be a nice thing to have a transcription of the cadenza, but I don't have the time to write it out myself just now. Good luck with your performance of the Variations, it is a wonderful piece! Eric Olsen Alright then, too bad. I need to learn how to improvize too :) I think I'm going to do like Peter Donohue did and just use Gershwin's original piano version as a cadenza, it fits surprisingly well!

The most innovative and downright melding of two genres: opera and jazz. Not once did I lose the sense of the opera aria while listening to two great artists playing with each other discovering new territory along a great divide. This CD ( which I'm proud to own) hits the mark in music making. Look out for this fabulous duo around the world. BRAVI!!
