Fist time flying this ship since I built it a couple of years ago, took a couple of hearts to get the feel down. Also, Fdev, fix the cannon fire bug please.

There appears to be a long held (and incorrect) belief in the AX community that you simply cannot use a thermal vent beam to offset the heat generation of gauss canons. Finished with 100% hull (technically), over 99.5% anyway. Apparently I forgot how to aim and orbit on the last heart and had to shamefully re-exert it.

The second dusa I took on in this amazingly capable and extremely fun little ship. Using the mobility of the chief, some G5 frag canon and a few well placed PA rounds this Corvette turns to space confetti in a little over a minute.

This is my first (successful) battle against a hydra with only basic ammo used. There are a few scrappy moments but overall I was happy with this battle as it is my fastest hydra to date and done with only basic reloads. Anywho, I'm off to farm more guardian mats...

Don't, the challenger and the chieftain are considerably better. the crusader is sluggish and ruins the best part of the alliance ships feel
As someone who owned a Crusader, I don't really care that it was worse, it still felt good and I never had any issues with it. I'm now using a krait :D

Yes, same setup as you would do for gauss to keep good convergence
I tried to swap yaw and roll just today. I feel like a total noob again after 4 years, spinning and rolling, I could hardly land 😃. But I will give it some time and hopefully get used to it with some space trucking routine.

I don't advise this technique to any novice pilot but if you think your up for it, it is a lot of fun. And yes, never fly without a rebuy. o7
is this Odyssey? If its Odyssey, is it possible to film you fighting a Thargoid? Or its dangerous for me ? as my ship is not built for thargoids
It makes me so happy when I see someone is using Leo as their COVAS. Can't believe how hard it is to find players who really use Leo~ 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 (It's Celeste or Archer everywhere if it isn't Verity or Victor...)
Yikes. I'm trying to get less Wing Commander style, not more.
It actually works very well once you get used to it as you predominantly use pitch and yaw to snipe hearts (at least in a chieftain you do). it took me about a week to be fairly proficient with the swap... But that first week, FA off was like watching a dog in the back of a station wagon on a windy road

At the first attack run I was screaming inside my head "Activate your weapons!!". Not sure if it was intentional but I definitely felt stressed! Hydra is hardcore, bravo, really, this is great
