Nice Vid. My home stomping ground! Poor old Cooper on that metal bridge 😂. I tried kayaking into that Marina once and got a bollocking before I even got close to the entrance. Funny how the perch go completely off the feed when the pike are bang on it. Horrible losing lures isn’t it? Not just because of the wallet but the leaving plastic in rivers - well done for getting them out the trees. We should meet up - perhaps help each other with portage to fish some other stretches?

Great video. I have watched a few traditional Tanago videos from Japan where they where using wooden multi piece rods. Did not know you got carbon versions. I have an 11 foot Tenkara rod for fly fishing which looks the same but obviously much longer. I unfortunately broke it fly fishing for carp. Turns out that a 10 pound carp might be a bit much for a Tenkara rod... Greetings from Cape Town.

Don't know if it's much help there as I'm in east Sussex not Devon but I've caught loads of scad at night using feathers with the little luminous beads on. (I use them for bass/ray baits etc when there's not many mackerel about)
