Wil Gilder was backup keeper as 14 year old in (dual rostered with U14 and U16) AC Sandhills U16 team, NC State Cup Semi Final. He had to go in after 2 mins of first period of extra time to face a corner (and 3 more corners) at 1-1. Ended up having a great game and saving a penalty in the shootout but we missed our next two to go out in semi final. Wil was starting Varsity keeper as an 8th grad...

I dont know if any one has asked( quite probably I would think!) any chance of puting the last 2 in the series on UT? Battle of the Nile and Normandy WW2.

Wonderful to see two Bits wargaming the Battle of Gettysburg - July 1863. Personally, I would enjoy watching another video from them: Gettysburg analyzed as to how General Lee followed Napoleonic strategy and tactics and where it did not. I've heard that Pickett's Charge was in line with a Napoleonic tactic.

Respectfully, have to disagree. The South in the Spring of 1863 was doing wonderfully - having just won the Battle of Chancellorsville.

Love the bad comb over and childish passive agression by the Reb general. I bet he was very popular with the ladies.

A few decades later there would be Time Commanders that would use Total War pc games engine to do similar more polished version of this concept. Fun fact in the Callan film Woodward plays Gettysburg table game with his assassination target near end of film.

The host is Edward Woodward. He played the title role in Breaker Morant, a great film based on true events that took place during the Boer War. As far as the war game above is concerned, I couldn't care less because die rolls will never equate to the horrors of actual combat.

"fancy" - I wish there were still something on TV that at least addressed history, as this does. Perhaps, instead of blanketing Lee with "failure" - how about talking about Ewell, and of course, Culps Hill.

  • @lurking0death

Utterly bizarre. All features of the map are WAY out of scale. It would take 45 minutes, at least, to walk from the top of this map to the bottom. The Gettysburg battlefield is quite large and sprawling. This is imbecilic.
