I’ve had an oil catch can for about a year. Yesterday i rev’d it way too hard on the highway, and then got the limp mode and wrench icon saying it was a power train issue. Today i drove 5 hours straight to Oregon, and my exhaust smelled like it was on fire. I think it’s definitely a throttle body issue but my catch can is not the fix

No good you never grease the slide bolt 🔩 pin inside there at the time of brake change its time to grease the pin.and where the brake sit in grease that area it makes the brake pads slide back when you release the brakes.

Also! This was able to work because the ac line was already loose! If you have freon in the lines, this will not ❗work❗

I put a catch can system on mine, and I still had to to replace my throttle body. I also had my throttle body cleaned up and the P2112 fault reoccurred the same day. I think the electronic part of the tb is failing.

Will that cause for my shifter to move off center a bit? My shifter feels weird when going from 2-3rd.

Hello good morning Charlton, I would like to know if you could please tell me why you changed the PTU system on your Edge, which was failing, so that I could change it. My vehicle, a 2011 Lincoln MKX, is having a problem with the front-wheel drive locking up and making horrible gear noises when it heats up. I have already checked the entire suspension and bearings and everything is fine. I want to think that it is the PTU Transfer system. Please, I would appreciate your response to your failures to give me an idea if it is the TPU fault.

I have a 2007 v6 and it completely blew out some wiring or something going to my ac, not sure yet still have to fix it but now my compressor isn’t getting power. Tried putting stock radio back and still no power to the compressor but the compressor and fuse are good

Your excellent demonstration showed me the precise means of reinstalling the PTU on my pal's broken Lincoln MKX (same as Edge). I really do appreciate that you took the time to thoroughly describe the position and orientation of the unit before lift, and the exact motions to make once the unit was lifted into near-position... despite the attempts and surely you had a good muscle burn going. When you have to change the PTU goto DORMAN. They have a redesugned PTU which is beefier AND it had a drain plug. !

Those AC Knobs are not OEM and could potentially fail.

the orange wire (pos 12v) should go under your dash fuse box and look with a cheap 12v light tester a port that's not being used but that has 12v when you turn the key to on position without starting it. That's your 12v ignition source. Use a female end of a butt connector and put it in open slot in a open port where the fuse box is under the dash panel in your ek civic. I can send you a picture if interested.
