มุมมอง 3353 หลายเดือนก่อน
The harsh reality of growing tomatoes. Blight is a real issue and once it's taken hold is devastating for the plant's and the sole. Still we must take it on the chin and move on. Lot's to remain positive about and it's time to start sowing seed's for winter crop's. We have our summer RHAA show on the 3rd of August and very much looking forward to getting involved with the event.. Thank you so m...

The cold nights has not been ideal for the beans but overall very happy with how thing's are progressing.. Thank you so much for...

Looking good! edit* just a thought, with so many other allotments around, can you ask a neighbour and share the use of a trailer for the occasional rubbish tip run?
You've already cleaned up so much! Good luck with the rest, and hope for your continued success, and health while at it!
Thank you so much that's so nice.. thankyou 😊
missed this one though I saw the video about the new plot! The person taking over your old plot is super lucky - it is indeed immaculate, and would be a dream as an allotmenter to take it over. :) Good karma coming back over to you soon, hopefully!
👍👍👍
🙂🤩
No kidding Simon summer came and went like that 🫰. Carrots may be like that on purpose I grew one called Parisienne that were stubbies. Nice of you to donate the greenhouse to the new tenant Simon 👍 good man. You will get there we have no doubt. Have a fun week Simon, Ali 🥶☔️🇨🇦
Much love guy's yes they eat well... Catch up soon..😍
Gosh you’ve worked so hard on it already!! Impressive and inspirational
Thank you i'm loving it🙂
oh my god, that is a plot with a lot of potential, but a LOT of work hours to put into as well! Good luck with it, I can't wait to see what it turns into. :)
Yes just needs a bit of a buff out.. 🙂Lot's to do in the next few week's..
Congratulations! As a viewer from a rather distant country, how do these "plots" work? bought/sold/leased? When you say build your home, im assuming you are not going to actually build a house there, or?
Thank you so much.. No we all lease our land. And are so grate full for that....🤩
🐝thanks for the great video🌻 owmyy thats looking cool!!!
Bee thank you so much..😍
Just subscribe and can't wait to see what you do. Going into Fall will help some with plants slowing down on growing. Wish I had your trees. Blessings
Thank you so much. 🙂
Nice one Simon 👍👍👍
🙂🤩
Wat a plot lots to do hay oh gud luck simon
Yes Lets go🙂
As a long time follower Simon I just know you will do absolutely amazing things with this new plot. You certainly have a lot of goodies to utilize. I was mentioning you to a lady called Teresa at London Organic Grower and she grows to help supply the food and too. Which I think is amazing of you both 🥰. Look forward to seeing your updates on this one 👍👍. Have a great week Simon, Ali 🌞🥶☔️🇨🇦
Exciting times ahead,I loved building my plot 👍
New subscriber 👍
Will be wonderful to see what a experienced gardener does!!!.
No Pressure..🙂🤩
I honestly can't wait to see what you turn this into! So much space and this plot has soooo much potential!
Thank you so much ..🙂
Like a kid in a sweet shop 😊
So Happy.. Such a good size space..🙂
A amazing space, with lots of good things to make new again, congratulations 😊
You could have had my plot buddy. Jacking it in this year!!
Everything looks fabulous Simon and so exciting about the move. Yes you are definitely handing over an immaculate allotment. Have a super week, Ali 🌞☔️🇨🇦
Yes its that time of the season. To get our garden cleaned up. Your garden is looking so nice. Thanks for sharing 😊
Gotta start on my own tidy up... feels a little saddening as always, thining of the end of the season coming up!
Fab update Simon nice to start the clean up process, I’ve been doing same today. Have a fab week, Ali ☔️🌧️💨🇨🇦
Thanks for the useful information on garden plant care.
Nice one Simon 👍👍👍
👍👍👍
I’m impressed with your sunflowers and sweet peas cos mine have massively failed this year!!
awesome peppers and flowers, the tomato harvest looks great as well. :)
Wow Simon those dahlia look fab still I’m finding dead heading mine is bring new blooms. I think people have been posting a lot of “away for a while from the allotment” videos and it’s amazing how well our “ignored plants” do. Goes to show we need them more than they need us. Sorry about the blight 😢 but the allotment does look great. Have an awesome week, Ali ☔️🌞🇨🇦
awesome harvest. Have you sowed any fall crops yet? Brassicas, and stuff like purple sprouting broccoli etc that you can overwinter in your climate? Our winters here are too cold for that, so I'm jealous haha. You could get transplants from garden centres for fall crops, still, right? I always like to look at how much of a garden culture the UK has. Here in North America, we can't get the successions of crops - we get the one flush in spring and early summer and that's it, so if we don't sow our own, it's hard to find!
catching up to ut after a busy few weeks, and awww, my full sympathies for the blight ending the tomato season. :( You have such productive plants too! Hope the ones on the vine, and the picked ones have been ripening! The rest of the veggies, especially the squashes and also the flowers look great. What do you do with so many squashes, though, lol.
For having so much rain early on Simon your peppers are doing so much better than mine. I am not sure I’ll ever get any 😂😂 this year. But the flowers out in the allotment look stunning 😍. Have a simply awesome day ahead, Ali 🌞🥵🇨🇦
Love your plot and progress. Shame the plot next to you is not as tidy as yours!!!
i get blight most years but i put my tomatoes in a cardboard box with 2 bananas and within a week or 2 there all red. so give it a go if you want ripe toms.
Grate tip! Thank you so much for that. i'm keeping them on the vines and finger's crossed they will ripen...🙂
👍👍👍
Thanks Michael..🤩
Wow Simon the flowers are stunning and yes I can see why you’d be smiling 😊. Oh jeez that’s awful, I know so many have the B word on their potatoes 🥔 but not the tomato 🍅 yet. Hope it’s not too bad. Good luck and have fun at the fair, Ali ☔️☔️🇨🇦 yes we finally have rain after 6 weeks of drought
A bit gutted to be honest Ali 🥲 However kept them on the vine's and starting to see some ripen over the last few days.. 🤞
wow, super pretty bonsais. I've always wanted to try it, but I lack the patience to keep time aside for them haha.
Yes me too.. However they are so cool looking just want to see how i can cope with a new skill.. Thank you so much for taking the time out to comment..🙂👍
Are tomatoes prone to greenfly attack?
No not as yet!! fingers crossed. haven't seen any this year. Thank goodness 🙂
Wow Simon the greenhouse is a beautiful lush paradise of green. You’ve done well regardless of any weather issue. Cheers, Ali 🌞🥵🇨🇦
Thank you so much Ali That so nice you have put a big smile on my face..😁💗
Tomatoes looking great! We've had a very rainy season here in Canada so far, I've had to take out 2 tomato plants due to blight already. :(
It's so sad to here. As you put your hart and sole in to it.. keep on growing!🙂
@@Plot97a So far the rest of the tomatoes seem okay - crossing fingers for it to continue! I have been string trellising and taking off the foliage down the stem.
The greenhouse has gone berserk!!
it's so good to see but need's a bit of a sort out. Thanks for your comment 😀
garden looking great!
Nice filming there Joe, well done. Everything looks beautiful Simon, it's all growing lovely.
😂😂 reminded me of Jaws and we’re going to need a bigger boat. Yes I had a few sparrows thinking the greenhouse made a nice home 🤦♀️. Chillies are looking awesome Simon , great update hope your feeling better, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
Is that euonymous.....may not be spelled properly
Wow Simon everything is looking fab and yes it’s kicking off summer. We had a few days of rain 🙏 thank you Mother Nature it now hot again. Sorting, maintenance and plans are the theme of the day 😂. Have a wonderful weekend, Ali 🌞☔️🇨🇦
