It's a common misconception that this movie is just about a reformed neo nazi from radical idealogies.. but this movie to It's absolute CORE is about the never-ending cycle of violence with no regard or care as to who actually cast the first stone or why. With no regard or care in listening to or understanding the other side. We don't know where his dad's hatred came from, but Derek's initial bias began with his dad. Then his dad's death at the hands of gang members transformed that bias into hatred, that hatred lead him to brutally murder the people trying to steal his truck as a sort of "spiritual retaliation" for his dad's death (this is why derek mentions his dad giving him the truck, he somehow feels he is avenging his father by killing them and completes the gruesome act with pride in his eyes and a smile on his face.) And JUST at the tipping point, when push comes to shove and one side is finally ready to listen and understand the other side... Derek's little brother is killed as retaliation for the murder of the car thieves... The most tragic part of this films true message is that as much as we want to believe Derek will continue to turn over a new leaf and go down this path of enlightenment. .. realistically, Danny's death is just another catalyst for more hatred in the neverending cycle and Derek will likely revert back to that very same hatred that kept him company most nights.

I have yet to see any reaction video that mentioned Ms Bill Murray’s quick cameo in this movie. He’s the guy asking for a Miss Piggy before the mall gets destroyed. They can identify Chaka Kahn in a blink and you’ll miss it, but they miss a ghostbuster. Maybe it’s because he’s got hair…

Bruh, for real. Im from San Diego and Long Beach, CA. I grew up in this culture, and I did bad things, but not with these guys, the other guys, lol. I'm 57 now, I live in SE Asia. My college buddy is coming to visit me next week, he asked, "Want anything?" I answered, "A copy of Nietzsche's 'Geneology of Morals.'" I have a degree in philosophy, it's my favorite book. JC - did you pick up on John having the same initials as Jesus Christ - also his mother has a biblical name as well - Sarah being the wife (& half sis) of Abraham, the supposed ancestor of JC - and thereby the mother of the future savior or mankind

You mentioned the thematic significance of “birds” : birds happens to be slang for women in Britain and its colonies - like all the best movies i think this one is an allegory …about women - like another classic called The Women (which you would definitely like, & PLEASE react to - 1930s I believe) - one reason it’s so good is bc it works on multiple levels (like Vertigo, another allegory) - it’s not just horror or science fiction, though it’s good enough to be appreciated on that level alone, it’s the story of Hitchcock’s perspective on women, how they interact with each other and all the tensions and dramas that come up, especially with a man in the picture - the bird attacks mirror the animosity and fears bubbling under the surface in the women’s lives - please watch the youtuber Collative Learning on this movie - he’s the only other person I’ve come across who noticed this, and he does a great job explaining it

This is a movie I both love and hate to watch. It's one of the movies that never fails to make me cry and it's just such a master piece! It's been a pleasure to watch your reaction an keep doing what you do brother!

Was good to see a reaction from someone socially aware. Too many don’t understand (or downplay for their audience or the algorithm) the danger of the ideology. My favorite apocalypse film...

Another good movie with Wil Wheaton, that also has Sean Astin in it is 'Toy Soldiers'. Its more drama, but also got some really good comedic lines as well.

Im so glad I saw this as a teen in high school. Some of us actually identified with Derek as a teen! At 33 yrs old I’m completely away from that life.

while I love this movie, my favorite movie from the 50s is a Billy Wilder movie called Witness for the Prosecution. It stars Charles Laughton, Tyrone Power and Marlene Dietrich. It is a serious drama with comic dialogue. The end is a stunner. I highly reccomend it!

Ive heard The Hobbit movies get some hate but I loved them. They're not as good as the LOTR movies but what is? They're still good. I read the books when I was a kid but i had forgotten about that ending and I was a mess in the theater. So sad .. i think The Rings of Power are worth watching. The first season is meh but not that bad abd the second is better. Granted they couldn't secure rights to The Silmarillion unfortunately (definitely suggest reading that) but there is a lot if deep lore from other Tolkien source material. I personally enjoyed it.
