They said this is not like a Drivers test but it was just like a drivers test you get giving theory test with pictures to match and photos and they never show you half of it they make you watch a video and you have to give the answers it can take 3 years you get giving more theory and hazard tests would of been better to retake a drivers test instead ?
Nice video to show us what should you do if you see an emergency vehicle like fire engines police cars vans and bikes even ambulances coming up behind you
Best explanation of the max / min points. Thanks.
Yr so beautiful 😍
In germany, you actually are encouraged to go through the red light, if there are Emergency Vehicles responding behind you. You should go through the intersection, after making sure it was safe and then move very slowly towards the intersection, until the emergency vehicle has space
Not only good driving and considered use of siren and exemptions by responder, but mostly good deviations by everyone else.
I never understood the use of blue lights, when red and only red, is the color for stop and danger, it should a global law, like red light on traffic lights, brake lights and stop signs.
Saving people's lifes in the 21st Century. 999.
Thank you ❤
At 0:26, I don't understand why.
I'm always looking in my mirrors and usually see blue lights and take action to get out of the way. But on the M5/M4 junctions with loads of roadwork going on, I had to move over the other day, to have other drivers then overtake and cause a tailback! This caused problems for the Blue light crew. Why don't people become aware of what's going on around them? instead of being blinkered and have to get where they're are going? So annoying
I’m in Ottawa so it’s red white and blue and yellow
I'm a driver of a larger blue light vehicle. This is a superb instructional video. The biggest problems I encounter are: Vehicles slowing a bit but not actually stopping, which makes judging gaps for overtakes more difficult. Stopping on bends or close to traffic islands. So.... find a place where I can see and get past you (not on a solid white line) and stop completely, but don't jam on suddenly. Once everyone is stopped it's easy to find a way through. It's so great when this happens... you'll get a wave and toot of thanks if I get an opportunity.
It is not possible to create emergency corridors in towns now as councils narrow roads and implement traffic restrictions ready for congestion charge scams. I often sit on a main road in which emergency vehicles get stuck with the rest of us due to high kerbs, narrowed lanes, paved areas with daft planters where lanes used to be etc. There was never any consultation apart from the "you say, we don't want to listen" types.
Not going through a red light - because that is breaking the law. If they are broken you would be compelled to wait until they had been fixed or removed. Not sure I can agree with that. I think some commonsense is required but in 2023 that is out of the window.
This should be shown on the telly on all channels.
Great driving. 100% pass
wait they pass and than drive behind them
Often I signal in good time and pull to side of road when I see a bike light, lost count of amount of cars that then try and go past me whilst the blue light nearly rear ends them

This is the 100% opposite of what English drivers are doing.
I know it stupid but when you drive a low car alway try to follow at a pick up truck tail closely The front car will swept away the water at front and give you a pathway This requires actual skill and situations awareness ensure the car follow behind will commit through
Best visual examples I've found yet. This is yhe first European vehicle I've ever owned and not used to seeing the dipstick look like that. Thank you!
Useful update. In the old video there used to be a point explaining that drivers are only permitted to go beyond the stop line at a red traffic light if directed by a uniformed Police Officer. That’s no longer in this latest video but presumably the advice remains the same 🤔
At your dip stick is maximum not between
I have slowly gone over a red light indicating my intentions to the drivers on the right hand side as long as it’s safe, the emergency vehicle has always thanked me.
They're thanking you out of politeness lol... if your action caused a collision they would not thank you because you're choice to move over the red is actually making the emergency response driver liable for any collision regardless of whether they "bullied" you into crossing that red, or you did it of your own volition.
@@jayvaisey5660 don’t patronise me fella
@@deanbeckworth1053 🤣🤣🤣You think that’s patronising? How delicate your self-esteem is. I’m just telling you how it actually is when a civi like you breaks the law out of misplaced good intention and how it can effect us emergency response drivers.
The key word being reputable....
Brilliant video keep the awesome content coming keep up the good work
0:39 That's not true. You're spreading harmful misinformation, because sometimes you have to run a red light in order to let an emergency vehicle pass. An example can be seen here: th-cam.com/video/Bb74hVc4uPQ/w-d-xo.html
TruckersMP linked this. I have to learn this so i don't get banned from the event.
So should you then use the hard shoulder as a rescue lane?
Stay safe everyone
This video is a little misleading. The video shows on 2 occasions (one with the 20p & the other with the digital tread depth gauge) measurements being taken in the “sipes” area of the tyre. The “sipes” are the outermost grooves of the tread area located on each shoulder of the tyre. These “sipes”, which will almost always will be outside the central 75% (3/4) breadth of the tread area do not make up part of the tread grooves and do not need to be there, manufacturers sometimes add these “sipes” as an additional feature to the tyres design but there is no legal requirement for them to exist. The grooves of tread where tread depth readings should be taken from will be identifiable as they will have tread wear indicators featured.
Good information
Childish laws like this one should be put to a public vote that's a democracy which we clearly no longer live in it's about the time the British Public woke up and stop being so out Woodley gullible.

Am I the only one that can hear the many photos being taken? 🤔 is this for training purposes or am I just hearing things?
1:54 don’t have hard shoulder anymore Not so smart motorway
As an retired Class1 Police driver I must say this is the best advanced driving I have seen on UToob, full stop. That includes the so called police driving videos!
Are push bike tyres the same thank you
Push bike tyres, like agricultural tyres & mopeds under 50cc require “visible tread”. No minimum tread depth required, just “visible”.
@@grumpygramps1451 Hi thanks I appreciate that . Have a great day
What a beautifully pretty woman 😍
No mention of visible tread over the whole width
I’m not saying that you make a year we’re making a run to Savy Michaela Condit won OK go away and second of this one
Dear Brittons, should your dwelling be on fire, your child in a life danger, or a burglar rambling behind your bedroom door, just stay calm and wait a couple minutes more, somewhere out there the responders are waiting behind a car at the red light, or following it patiently in a 30 zone. You shall wait, ok?
