The idiots in UA93 flew all the way to Ohio before even hijacking the plane. They started in NY. Could've easily gotten one more target at the East Coast. Imagine a 757 crashing into the Capitol or White House. I wasn’t alive to see 2001 but when I did learn about it, the desperation of the people trapped in fire and smoke to breathe or not have their life taken by someone else’s hands just. . . Fuck man. It makes me think about someone I knew who was left trapped in a burning car by other passengers who ended up confirming that they heard banging but when the police arrived, he didn’t hear anything. I was barely 2 years old during 9/11 and I don’t remember it but my parents have told me that they watched it in our living room with me on the floor near them. It’s a harrowing experience getting to watch the news reports that my parents watched almost 23 years ago.

The most impactful part to me was the news anchor who, after the 2nd tower was hit, said "you got to wonder if this is an issue with air traffic control." The world was so naive before 9/11. We couldn't fathom something like this happening, especially on US soil.

1:08:23 I love how pretty much everyone, even random people on the street are named in this video. Its great because it provides a lot of evidence and history to the event. But during this message it says "Officials" called over a PA system to tell people to shelter in place during an active terrorist attack, who were these "officials" were they even in the building when they were telling everyone else to sit down and die? Seems kind of important, especially if you consider the fact that more people believe this attack was planned by government agencies, rather than not.

I am someone who wasn’t born yet when this happened. I may never truly know how shocking and heartbreaking this event really was to the United States and the rest of the world. 22 years later, I still send my condolences and best wishes to the victims and families affected by this terrifying tragedy. People of the past, present and future shall vow to never forget. God bless America. 🇺🇸

This was the day that the world as we knew it ended. A tragedy beyond words, witnessed globally in shock and horror. I visited New York in 2019, and went to Ground Zero, I was so overcome with grief, knowing just how many lives were lost that day in 2001. I remember being overcome with the need to approach a group of police officers who were standing nearby. In that moment, I tearfully thanked them for their service, and wanted them to know that I, as a British person in their city, felt safer knowing they were there. Reliving this moment again is heartbreaking, and I hope that we can find the humanity and kindness we as inhabitants of this beautiful planet should have for everyone and everything. We must never forget.

this tragedy ended many things, the end of the 90s era, the lifes of americans and later the people of the middle east. The US also got a reality check because of the people thinking that the US is invincible. The whole world was in shock and were scared to terrorists since the 9/11 attacks, even terrorists are since 9/11 no longer some group trying to kill as many people in a bus and are now even people doing wars against the west like in afghanistan or palestine. RIP to these civilians during 9/11 and from the aftermath.

Religion, not even once

if anyone knows the story of "Sully" the pilot who landed an aircraft on the Hudson, my aunt had worked in a big office building in Manhattan with a great view of the city. She has witnessed many historical events in that building. this was one. She doesn't like to talk about what she saw but from every detail I can make out she saw a jet fly into the first WTC and had one of the best POVs of it.

I was 19 when this happened & remember watching it unfold on tv like most others. I remember the surrealism of the moment, but never fully appreciated/grasped/processed the pure terror and heart break until much later in life. Now at 41, watching this with all the available information, knowing all the things we all know now....sobbing.
