Arash’s World Interview with Conflict Strategist and Authors Jan and Jillian Yuhas on Being a Bounda
Source:
www.podbean.com/eau/pb-yuhh2-1699707
In this episode, I have the great pleasure of talking to Conflict and Boundary Strategists and Authors of “Boundary Badass: A Powerful Method for Elevating Your Value and Relationships” Jan and Jillian Yuhas about the importance of having your voice heard and feeling valued both in your personal as well as professional relationships. Both at the workplace and home, it is important to not only set boundaries and communicate clearly and effectively but also deal with conflicts as soon as possible and in a way that does not lead to negative outcomes such as lingering feelings of resentment or alienation.
Often our lack of comfort with speaking up or setting boundaries has its root in our childhood stemming from experiences we had in the past where we may have felt that our opinions did not matter or were not valued or respected. But through self-awareness and self-regulation we have the opportunity to not only address these wounds and issues but to come out stronger and be able to attain better outcomes and results in our relationships.
As Jan and Jillian explain, their ASAP method is applicable to all types of relationships, and they can help us find common ground, build bridges, and lead to win-win situations for everyone involved. Such a shift from a "me mindset" to a "we mentality" with teamwork will pay dividends not only for employees, upper management, and CEOs but also for the company and corporation as it will boost motivation and satisfaction and increase productivity across the board.

He’s a crook and a liar, I did it and felt 100% of the withdrawal symptoms, he’s just giving you a medicine called naltrexone to block opioid receptors but that is weak, don’t believe that liar you would have heard by now if there was a real “cure” for addiction

I'm sorry that it didn't work for you. everyone is different and there are thousands of people who have succeeded through anr. don't discourage people who might have a chance to be successful just because it didn't work for you. this man seems like he cares and Noone can deny that the big pharmaceutical companies are making billions on all of our addictions and most of the time we didn't choose to be addicts. we were lied to and prescribed these meds under the claim that they were helping us. suddenly we are dependent on an outside substance to be able to live a terrible life of desperation and the fear of withdrawal. this may be someone's saving grace so please just because you had a bad experience don't turn people off of what might save their lives

It’s encouraging to hear the term dependency being used more often. There truly are a unique group of people, who are not abusing their prescribed medication (some of us have never gotten “high” and don’t struggle with cravings) but truly need help with a remedy for dependency. Most treatment personnel talk to someone like me like I’m an addict in denial. I’m not psychologically addicted to my prescriptions, but my body is dependent on them.

Have you seen the Netflix series "Painkiller"? I'm not sure how accurately it depicted the situation but it did show that many have unwittingly suffered and through no fault of their own (in fact they were often manipulated and lied to!), they have built up dependency. Sadly, there are many people who are driven by greed but there are also many good people out there who are trying to make a difference! Best of luck to you!

@@ArashFarzaneh I have. Thank you for the words of encouragement 🫶🏽🌟I’m very fortunate to not have wound up like any of the people on that show (or the similar version on Hulu) but still…it’s a very real circumstance for a lot of people. Legitimate chronic pain patients aren’t all suffering with addiction issues, but we’re certainly chemically dependent after long term use of these “medicines”.

The fact that President Biden is very proud of his Irish identity and supports the Good Friday Agreement and always makes clear that to the British -no return to a hard border on the island between N.Ireland and the Republic of Ireland is the most important. Religion in N Ireleland Catholic and Protestant is very conservative 😮 and also politicised unfortunately still divides the people in N Ireland but in the Republic of Ireland whether he is a Catholic or not is no longer important for the majority of people anymore. However the fact that he is a liberal Catholic and NOT a hardline right wing conservative Catholic is liked by the majority of people including myself. The Republic of Ireland has changed and modernised. and thank God for that

Fintan is a very analytical writer of great integrity. SometimesI I see shades of Conor Cruise O Brien in his portrayal of our Irishness. Tip O Neill once refused to meet O Brien. describing him as " a silly senile son of a bitch" . Someone once said " the Irish are a very fair minded people, they seldom speak well of each other "

Irish catholics self select aphreid faith schools. Children grow into adults who never mix with other citizens mainly to death. This causes divisiveness.. Republic have 26 counties a very Catholic state even in 2023..be it school or hospitals. If northern Ireland was what they called protestant state.. NI is 6 counties only.. A refuge neither English or Irish now and rejected for our faith by Ireland..prior to partation of Ireland 40 thousand protestants were ethnically cleansed by. Irish Irish.. So we divorced and took refuge with like minded in northern Ireland. And life should been OK in these 6 counties.. But Irish Irish still want to terminate Irish of British heritage just as azov did Ukrainian Russians.. You look at things only from blinkered Catholic view.. The killing didn't end there.. Irish on Irish amidst Ireland ppl in world war then scum starts partation whilst war delayed their independence.. They not wait while good Irish men all faiths fight Hitler. Those soldiers came home. Country partationed. Ireland only In 2022 pr show for first time to respect the dead..... Their families Irish treated as non existent.... So many fled to England or commonwealth.. Then peace.. Then 40 yrs of terrorism data carifys 99.98 % were bombings. Murders. Gun. At hands of ira.. Both USA and Ireland gave the odd trained military support to ira.. Some were found to be trained snipers despite USA being NI UK allay...ira would kill and escape over border(no border like rest of world) it's political reps would throw bricks at army n police.. Bear in mind kids born brought up to believe untrully that their own ni country representation were invaders... 900yrs ago was last invade. But they were invaded by vikings. Romans. French but no they reserve hate only for UK.. Poor ppl in begin of new nation everyone had it tough. Business had vote. But new state was learning it's way. But they ensured both faiths had schooling and n. Irish catholics Choose n got own schools paid by the state. Language in Ireland was English 1000yrs but language school class was part of.. We all looked up genuine remote ppl who held near to old language after all Presbyterians quakers taught it.. But in NORTHERN IRELAND it's a weapon to united Ireland erase Britishness little more.. Always airbrushing other heritages of Irelands landscape. In light of that any PREDJUICE would not have been intentional. Now our faith. Culture. Politics is jumped on as Irish Propaghanda from story of 100s of years past has been groomed into ppl. We are divorced for a reason.

Hallo Arash, danke für deine Antwort. Ich hoffe du verstehst Deutsch noch! The reason I stumbled over this interview was my research for some material about Colonia Dignidad. Found it in a telegram channel. So, thank you for the hint. I will look for the series and hope I can find it somewhere else than Netflix. I don't belong to that club ;-) I just deleted my comment because I was offendeded of what she said about socialism...I don't know about her... if she thinks social is equal to socialISM she shouldn't write books. She also talks about ego and here she is claiming to now know all about everything. I also didn't like how she talked about Germans. She's out of hell, but she is still in it in other ways.

Considering that "The Sociopath Next Door" was released in 2005 wherein Stout projects 1 in 25 people are sociopaths, it would seem as though the numbers seventeen years later would be much higher as cultural influences play a significant role in the development (or lack of it) of sociopathy in a given population. It would appear to be increasing as cultural expectations put less responsibility on the individual for antisocial behavior in general. Our political arena is a perfect example of this reflected by the party representatives, the abysmal record of congresspersons convicted of everything in the book, and the coup attempt of a valid US election.
