Frustrated by the lack of demo videos for some of the guitars and amps that have gone through my hands over the years, I decided to step up and make some demos myself. When I got back into playing pedal steel guitar in the late 80's, I couldn't afford any of the steel guitar amps the store had( I blew all my money on the steel; they're expensive), and the store owner had me try this amp on the Clean channel. I liked it right away, bought it and have been a fan ever since. It has never failed or disappointed me.

I got a GLX 212 120W,WITH PEDAL(2 WIRES).. in pristine shape for 88$ bucks....made in u.s.a... st.louis Missouri..". Well made..", she purrs like a kitten with a bit of delay to let the notes "hold their value", abit longer...heavy gain,crunch...... And I'm using the onboard delay... I like that you can manually control the effect you want to dial ... So you control the levels you want of "said" effect!!!.... It got a great kickback sound,played loud!!.... But all ears are different?!.... So...ok riffmonger...sounds good!!!.... Let that power chord linger...thoose pickups with crate sounds thick!!!

I've had a glx 212 for years ...stands up to anything produced these days...also have the glx 50 which also stands up head and shoulders to anything I've heard
Just ordered a Negative Flying V. Hoping it sounds at least nearly as good as this Les Paul does (if not equally good), especially since I'm ordering it from Canada to the US.

I just bought this used from a older gentleman who plays country and some rock music. He liked the power and clean channel but it was a bit to metal (hard rock) for him. That’s exactly why I bought it from him, to push the amp into 8,9 and 10s.

You do realise that when your in the solo channel you can shape your tone even more buy adjusting the low, mid, high on the rhythm channel yeah , not sure how many ppl realise this

Hey man I have a RH100 head and amp. Pretty killer tone for a solid state. Mine is just the base rh100 not a g2 series
I just got very well kept and maintained rh100 first series for$150 ifor back up from my tube amp t’s Fucking awesome what’s the difference between Gen 1 and gen 2
@@hierrogm the 1st generation is a beast man I've never played a 2nd generation yet but the first solid state will hold up to anything IMO

I own a 2010 Studio Gibson Les Paul and have this amp with a Boss GT-3 guitar effects processor and it sounds amazing. Great video. I wish you would have touched on the footswitch combos that this amp does.

Everyone's got an opinion... Say what you will, but having played many a Gibson - the Epiphone Negative is in my top 5 list of guitars I've played and the Dimarzio pickups were second to none.
Plug it into a Jaydee. Instead. Or a fucken chibson. Lmfao that's been set up right. Like a real counterfeit legendary axe should be. What a twat yes please go buy a 30k pejce of kindling from a bankrupt company that gets all their shit made over seas and than stamp USA on it. Like a champ.
@@edsmith898 if you put it in drop d and just play the 2 bottom strings in everything you play, this is the best setup..... But if ya go back to a 72 l-5 custom solid body , I bet the shit would hit the fan......

How does the RH100 compare to the RG100ES?
Honestly, never played through the RG100ES. But I would guess it sounds pretty good. If you get a chance to play through one, let me know what you think.
Just got this guitar, love it so far but definitely thinking about putting some fishman fluence in it.
Lol I got one of these recently with the footswitch for $60 Canadian in perfect shape. Lots of folks say bad things about these but I laugh and tell em how much I bought it for then show em the rhythm channel at like 10 and the Solo at half and shape all the way left.. Oh yes

What's the bottom selector switch for?
I think it activated the acoustic pickup. I have another video of just clean playing that explains it I'm pretty sure.

Used you could probably snag on for $300-400 CAD. It's essentially an LP Standard. Still one of the best playing guitars I've ever owned though. Fuck I miss it. Lol
Drop tuning is some non musical sounding muddy garbage. Repeated patterns over and over again nonsense. Might as well be rap music. imo
I tune to d standard because it gives the adg or gcf a ballsy sound
