I'm an old school guy that was raised in the south, respect & honesty was and is a huge part of my life that I live by as well as treating others the way you want to be treated. Don't treat folks like shit cause I very seriously doubt you want to be treated like a piece of shit. Wanted to start this journey for awhile and just decided ain't nothing to it but to do it. If it is to be it's up to me. This is new to me with no fancy equipment and nothing to hold the camera. I would appreciate your guys support and invite you to grow with me on this journey as I grow and the videos get better. Later on I will show My face and give insight into my life. I've decided on Southernknifelife for channel since I'm from the south and knives, sharpening and the hobby surrounding that are and have been a huge part of my life and hobby for years now but don't want to limit the channel to just that yet. Thanks 🙏 for any and all support given.
this is a carrot slip made by @ericasedc.
this is a carrot slip made by Erica, it's a well made and put together slip. the leather is thin so it contours to your knife. this is not the last one I will be getting from her. the stitching is tight and should last.

this is the Slater that Erica and Dusty at Duck head forge designed. it's in k390 at 64.5. I have used it a little on cardboard, I love the ergos and it's a slicer. I thought the edge retention would be a little better but we will get another edge and see. the fit and finish is about the best you can get. I love the macarta and the setup that Dusty came up with, I will be getting another one of...

@@RandysWSG yes sir for sure, can't wait to upgrade my recording device to show all this stuff as it happens.
I have been impressed with Rosecrafts traditional knives. They do a great job with D2. I don't feel like I am carrying a steel that is not in the "super steel" class. The Briarpatch Jack is my favorite model so far.
@@LastChanceKnives I like the blades on the briarpatch that one you have is a beautiful piece
I've been extremely happy with my RCB knives, with the Appalachian Jack and Nolichucky Jack my fav duo of the lot.
@@byronkennedy7912 I have a Nolichucky but moving it along, it's a very beautiful knife and I like it but the Loosahatchie jack has my heart so I haven't really used the Nolichucky. I wish they would make the Loosahatchie a tad bigger kinda like the gec 2 ab Barlow. That would be noice
Wow it’s razor sharp huh beautiful knife super sharp knife. I like your background is that witches something you painted yourself? Congratulations on your purchase. God bless you and your family

Howdy ... first, thanks for the share of this awesome lil' fixie by Dusty over at Duckhead_Forge. I don't own any of his knives (or any from the Fiddleback Forge group), but would luv to get some in hand to try ... maybe someday. Big Kudos to Dusty and Erica for collaborating on this design and sending it to you to checkout. I also have to thank Last Chance Knives Ken for sending me over to checkout your content.
@@byronkennedy7912 thanks for the support and ken is a great guy. They really didn't send it for me to check out, I reached out and had it made with the macarta liners and all I wanted and paid for it but yeah definitely talented those two

@@larryvincent1083 thank you 🙏
This beautiful fixed blade would be great for some outdoorsrmen men's meetings I go to once a month.
@@kellyoneal1675 it's a very nice edc design, I'm sure it can do some outdoor stuff but it is a small knife but it is beautiful. Thanks for your support
Nice knife i prefer bone handles carbon steel has always been my go to steel for knives of all kinds. People complain because they rust . In my opinion if you cant rub a little oil on your knife you dont need one.
@@michealbarnett3065 see I have lived right across the road from the ocean at one point and had o1 A2 tool steel knives and never had a rust issue, and still live in the humid south and still have never had anything rust, maybe I'm just lucky or maybe folks are just being a little paranoid about it. I do know that the finer finish that's on the blade the less likely it is too rust. I love when you use your knife and cut meat and food up and it starts to get that purty rainbow color.
Very nice little fixed blade. I like the handle color with the blue inner liners. Thanks for show it to us. 👍
@@RadioGeekBlades your welcome and thanks for the support
Looks great in the light!! love that blade!
@@BaxtersBlades it does look better in the light, I'm in the south and 111 index today so sometimes it's in the house but love making them outside with natural light. It's a great edc design, got me a isp sheath and enjoy carrying it a lot more now
Very cool fixed blade! Looks nice and like the colors. Very nice background also! Oh Ken sent me over here!!😁
@@BaxtersBlades lol yeah Ken is awesome, I was wandering what was happening 🤣then I saw his video, thanks for the support

I love the design. I wana call it a barlow. C Risener is a great company. Do you have any Sheffield knives?
@@RandysWSG yeah I have a Nolichucky but man my favorite is this loosahatchie jack has my heart. I don't have any Sheffield knives yet but I have wanted one for awhile, Taylor's eye witness, Arthur Wright, and Michael May, I have wanted some of those, and saw a few videos of those twisted assisted Barlows with macarta and burlap, man they are nice. @@SouthernKnifeLife Check out James and company on all about pocket knives. That have a nice selection. The TA barlows are fantastic, definitely grab one of it can. I have the clip.
@@RandysWSG yeah I know about James and Company, I'm in the loop brother lol. I'm broke right now but when I look at them I want to get the cheaper A.Wright but man those ones with the snake wood and all are very beautiful
That's a really beautiful knife! I am liking the blue liners a low. Coming over from Kens. That background is killer!
@@RandysWSG ken is a very good man, thanks for the support. My daughter actually did that and painted it, she is a great artist but it's personal to her she doesn't show many people. Natural macarta and blue liners are what I love

Good looking knife. I like the blade design and finish. Interesting swells at the blade end of the handle. Should provide stability on a push cut. Can't say I love the sheath. Thank you, yes sir it is beautiful, I want to do a review outside so you can really see the colors
I have the original one in orange. They are great knives! So far my favorite Rosecraft by far in the Briarpatch Jack. I love the large cigar style handle and the blades are awesome! I remember when I had 25 subscribers. A year later and it's over 1k now! Still can't believe that!

I better pick me up one of their blades before they triple in price. Been getting popular pretty fast.

Thanks man! I think cruwear will be what I use for the most part moving forward. I’m trying some 4v now but I’m pretty sure it’ll be cruwear
I like this cruwear and the fact you treated it up at 63, and even after all that cardboard it was still sharp but a few swipes on the strop and it was back were it was, I like toothy steels some just glass out and slide rather than cut and naw they can keep them, when I get a better set up imma record my cut tests and stuff and show everything
Looks like a pretty cool knife!
