This video is amazing. Seeing the history to the present day of the most fascinating technological subject. When I was in school I loved using the computer, I wanted to get into computing but my careers advisor told me not to bother because 'too many people would be in that field and I'd never get a job'. But such is life. Thanks for the amazing video, its truly inspirational!

Esta bien el documental. Solo que siento que hicieron una investigacion usando wikipedia. Cosa que no esta mal para el proposito. Pero muchos generos y sub generos no pertenecen al rock. Como el caso de HIP HOP. Otra cosa, lamento decirlo pero usando voz artificial lo hace un poco tedioso de ver.

The banjo configuration was also found in China, Mesopotamia, and many other civilizations other than Africa. Drums of course can be found in Egypt and places that predate African use. Most of the other instruments used in jazz were developed or invented in Europe - sax, clarinet, violin, piano - as well as the brass trumpets (mentioned in the bible's Old Testament), trombone (which started out as a non-slide horn), cymbals (also mentioned in the bible). The song structure which we eventually called jazz plus the use of chords, as well as instrument interplay was developed in Europe, not Africa. Right now one can hear the primitive music still played in Africa - there are virtually no native recordings that sound anything like ragtime, 1920s jazz, 1930s swing or 1940s bop. Black culture did bring a soul to jazz but it hardly invented it.

The polemic statement in the end about "revenge" is pretty damn degatory towards all the great artists who made music with the sole purpose of creating beauty in to the world and expressing themselves. As the saying goes, people have lived and died for the music. But revenge? That the motivator and catalyst for all of the diversity, profoundly deep human expression and creativity would be "revenge"? The choice of words is just odd.
