There are different variations of this climb. Some will speed climb in a day which is not advisable. But if you stay in the huts for one night at station 5, I would say 2 days and 1 night to summit :)

@@melvinexploreslife thanks I am staying on hut station 6. My plan is start at base hike to station 6 sleep until 1am then hike to summit for sunrise. Just trying to figure out what time to start hiking from the base station 1

We also took the same route that you did from the Fuji Sengen Shrine going to station 1. We started early morning and really took our time to reach the summit before the sunrise and back to the Fuji Sengen Shrine before lunch of the following day.

​@melvinexploreslife I did a day hike... took the earliest bus at 5am from Fujisan Parking Lot, reached 5th station at 5.45am ... acclimatised for 1 hr... started climb at 6.45am, summited at 1.15pm and descended at 1.30pm to reach 5th station at 5pm .. took the 5.30pm bus back (last bus 6.30pm). I shuddered to think what would have happened to me if I sprained my knee or ankle (which could easily happen) during descend alone. Thank God all went well. 😊

Hello:) thanks for the sub! Appreciate much. We went in July during summer and yes, it was indeed crowded. Though the time we ascended on both days, we didn’t encounter that many people and we felt we had the path all to ourselves. I take that as a compliment! No! I didn’t use any eraser😂🎉

@@melvinexploreslife Google Pixel phones now have a feature called "Magic Eraser." You highlight people or objects you want to remove from a photo, and it's done quickly and easily. The background is filled in so there is no gap. But that works only in photos. You cannot erase people in real life (yet) 😀

@@melvinexploreslife By the way I prefer your talking videos. I don't know if you have artistic reasons for choosing one way or the other, but for me talking is better than silent with music or background sound.

@@melvinexploreslife You don't have to say a lot. Just discuss things that a video cannot convey and things that someone would know only by being there. For example in the case of climbing Mount Fuji, how cold was it, how windy was it, how was traction when you ascended and descended?
