Offshore fishing central Florida

Fishing offshore in central Florida. Started by trolling got a bonehead(bonita), blackfin tuna, and acouple mahi then we went deep dropping in 850-900 ft in the gulf stream and got a blueline tilefish and a yellowedge grouper. Went inside in search of a kingfish and ended up with a decent bull mahi #offshore#fish#outdoors#fishing#oceanlife#natgeowild#mahi#tuna#grouper#tilefish

@@Tailchaseroutdoors that came off wrong it sucked to lose a monster tuna.
@@blainehebert6916 couldnt agree more. We werent sure if it was a tuna or a shark it started to act sharky on us
Congrats!!!

@@midcatnap_2744 i almost did🫢
@@Tailchaseroutdoors oh 😳
Rays bream
Correct answer is pomfret
That isn't fishing bro. The machine caught the fish, not you.
Whatever you say. If you want to come handcrank 2000ft of line with a 12lb lead be my guest. Id rather not waste the time cranking and get more drifts out of the time i get to go out there. Have a nice day!
That fish is a Pomfret and they’re a type of fish with deep bodies and laterally compressed sides that belong to the Bramidae family. They live from 1000 to even more than 3000 feet. Great at the dinner table and a very rare catch.

Is that an automatic reel wow! and what fish i cant guess idek where to start maybe a deepwater tuna
Or a travalle of a sort
Yeah its an electric reel and negative on fish species
What’s the point of fishing with automatic reels
Fishing 12lbs of lead in 1800 ft with a 4knot current so with the scope has about 2200-2300 ft of line out. If you want to crank that up by hand every 40 minutes to reset be my guest id rather save the time you get more drifts out of the limited time i have out there 👍🏻
@@Tailchaseroutdoors automatic reel it is 😂
That a nice bluegill set up but you might want to use a little heavyer line just in case
@@HenryRutland117 thinking 300lb or more? 🤔
@@Tailchaseroutdoors probably about 350 to be safe, you’ll lose some length on your line but it will probably still get deep enough to get to the bluegill

Dude! Don’t have thin skin. I own a 456 Canyon!!! I spend a ton of time on the “Ocean”
@@mikedefee thats cool
That’s where a Seakeeper comes in handy! Eliminates that roll.
@@mikedefee if you cant handle boat roll you do not belong on the ocean
@@TailchaseroutdoorsThe video is good and I enjoyed it! You need to just chill a little bit! I was making an observation, not a critique!
You were the guy who made the brash statement. You won’t be 30 forever. When you have an older parent who loves to fish/dive offshore, that makes a huge difference for THEM! Hopefully, one day you’ll understand.
@@mikedefee dude seriously take a chill pill
@@mikedefee if you have a 456 canyon thats big enough for an older parent or person to not have to worry about boat roll unless its 5/6fters. Have a good day man

Electric reel? What the hell, what is the point of fishing if something does it for you.
@@dukingtheraven have a nice day

Leave it in the water and MORE WILL SHOW UP to catch
