Welcome everyone to the St. Clair Yardmaster's page! I created this page to share movies, videos and stills/slides that I have taken over the last 50 years, mostly from Eastern Pennsylvania. It will include videos and images from "working" railroads, tourist lines, fan trips, mining scenes and local events. My "handle" comes from the old Reading Railroad's engine terminal nomenclature, "STC" meant the locomotive's "home base" was the St. Clair engine terminal.
I grew up in St. Clair and have many memories watching Reading RR trains on the Frackville Branch, as well as seeing center-cab Baldwin transfer locomotives on the nearly-parallel Pennsylvania RR Schuylkill Valley Branch (Philadelphia - Morea)
This is a work in progress. If you have comments or questions, please enter them. I will do my best to reply. Enjoy the show!

Tribute to the CJ&B RR at Schuylkill Haven Borough Day
มุมมอง 1172 ปีที่แล้ว
One of the highlights of Schuylkill Haven Borough Day was a large-scale garden-style layout featuring G-Scale LGB (Lehman Gross Bahn) trains. A dedicated group of volunteers built this garden railway from 1991-1999 and one final appearance in 2007. The railway also made a guest appearance at the Maple Leaf Farm in December 1994. Here are scenes from the early 1990's showing this great railway. ...
Chapter 6 - Re aligning CP Belt
มุมมอง 802 ปีที่แล้ว
This video is the last in my series about Conrail in and about the Reading, PA area in the 1990's. It shows track re-alignment from a north-south orientation to an east-west orientation to better serve current train movements. The "old days" were mostly anthracite coal moving south to the docks at Philadelphia. By the 1960's the coal dried up and movements were more aligned east-west from Harri...

Near the beginning of the video, I heard a 6 Chime whistle that I couldn’t identify, as it wasn’t her Reading 6 Chime. Almost sounded like a Boston & Maine 6 Chime, but I can’t be sure. Anybody know which one it is?

Great catches and awesome video
The whistle sounds sick. 😿
Magnificent catches of the train coming by and pass, I like it 5 stars, keep up the great work, my friend, you earned a new subscriber, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
Thank you LisonRailProductionsandF1! I have subscribed to your TH-cam channel. I'm watching some of the videos now. I enjoy watching railroads from different countries to get a global perspective of them. Have you watched the Zurich railroad webcam at www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/schweiz/canton-zurigo/zurich/train-station.html ? It gets very busy at the morning and evening rush hours.
My special needs son would like to know why was 3052 pull the RDC'S? Were they having mechanical problems or something?
I don't know why the additional diesels were added to pull the RDC's. Possibly to ensure no RDC failures would hold up the main excursion with #2102? The next day's video from the Port Clinton webcam showed the 3 RDC's running without any aditional locomotives.
@@stcyardmaster6094 Alright thank you for your reply we appreciate it God bless you 🙏✡🤴✝️🔥🥀🦅🛡🗡👼😇🐏🐑🕊John 3:16
Amazing video 😊
Thanks for the reply! I appreciate the kind comments from all commenters! This is a "labor of love", as I'm a life-long railfan and model railroader. I'll be "on the road" in 2 days to document the last steam-powered rail ramble of the season. I will try to get video of the Santa Trains in Minersville in a few weeks. Unless the weather turns out badly.
great!
I really wish I saw these layouts in the 90's like at the age I am right now!
The Choo Choo Barn is still open but Roadside America closed.
Wish the R&N will do Reading-Pittston occasional Railfan excursion trips in the future one day!

Great shots of 2102 today! Nice job with the fastest YT post of this day's Ramble Run!
Yes - "PN" is the former Reading RR telegraph name for the station. R&N still uses it for its train names (like PNMV - Port Clinton Minersville, etc). Check out the Reading Co. Technical & Historical Society's website, I think they still have a page with many of the old station names. Old employee timetables also list them. Some others that come to mind - Reading = "D", Pottsville Jct. = "MJ", Mill Creek Jct. = "CA".
Does anyone know the names of the 3 guys from the reading 2100 that was riding the train. ?
Great catches and excellent video
Cool 😊
Awesome video and great catches
Great video and catches
I noticed around 3:30 you put "PN" and not "PC" for your abbreviation for Port Clinton
At least 2102 came back last year!
Awesome catches! I was riding the train this day!
Soon, the future Reading-Pittston occasional excursion trips on the Reading & Northern is possible to come!
Look at our beloved steam stars, 2102 and 425, sitting patiently in their stalls, waiting patiently for the return they know, must sure come soon. Many years would pass before fire lit one of their bellies again, and then more yet before both would yawn with steam, and stretch upon the tracks again. But it was worth the wait, for in 2022, 23 years after this video, when steam and steel would burst forth to a packed crowd and adoring fans at every crossing and field. This old railfan hopes that steam will never truly die. God bless Andy Muller and the Reading and Northern.
Nice video
Wow, My best friend, I liked the video very much, thanks you for sharing, stay safe, stay blessed
I was right next to you in Port Clinton! Great shots in this video 👍
I've been railfanning this line all year, so it's really cool to see this old footage going through now-familiar places. I never imagined we'd see a P42 in this area. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, it would be awesome to see that repeated again in the future!
Great shots. Thanks for sharing. It was another good day of railroading!
I sure saw old uncle Joe, moving kinda slow, at the Junction.
The engineers don't wave from the trains anymore, not like did back in 1954.
Well filmed.
That freight at 8:22 in your video is PNQA it was bringing up the rest of the coal hoppers that were used with 2102. Great video and this was some sight to see, something that is basically unheard of in today's railroading.
Nice to see those big freights. they pay the bills so the historic equipment can operate. I'm sure the railroad will make money with 2102 also.
Andy has 50 coal cars with no graffiti on them. That's amazing!
Good to see STC and other railfans documenting the return of 2102. Historically speaking, Mr. Muller is to be congratulated for spending millions of dollars needed to re-build this T-1 to even better than the old glory days of the 1960's Reading RR Rambles. Better get ready for the NEW roaring 2020's once the excursion season opens. Get your batteries charged!
Muller's an amazing railroader. He's done so much with this regional since the 80s.
There ya go, better fps
This time, after editing, I returned to exporting the video from Open Shot at 720p, 24fps, like all my previous exports. The last export was at 1080i, too much "stutter". Seems this camera looks better at 720p, 24fps. Thanks for noticing! I appreciate any and all comments and helpful tips, it makes us do some research and testing, making us better photographers.
