I think that the dragons can be tamed, like a normal animal can be tamed. I think the valerian or Targ relationship is based in blood magic which makes the dragons actually "bond". Only one rider, sympathetic or telepathic connections on emotions and pain. While we don't know about Nettles background and blood line, she tames by simply feeding the dragon and having it get used to her. But someone with the right blood line could probably "hijack" that dragon as there isn't that magic bond. 1:45:43

Been waiting a lifetime for this movie. I have only seen maybe 1 or 2 movies in reboots or remakes that have been any good. The new Ghostbusters film felt like an episode of the Real Ghostbusters cartoon. This looks like a mashup of the movie and the cartoon. I grew up on both. It looks pretty action packed! Cannot wait.

Movie looks great, seems like a wild and fun ride. Dont worry about typecasting. For starters she genuinely loves this stuff but shes also said in a couple interviews that she isnt worried about it. She just reads a script and if she likes it she does it. She's also now getting to a point where she can be choosy about what she does or doesn't do. She's had a couple small indie level dramas release since Wednesday came out but like Beetlejuice has much larger projects coming up. One is a still unnamed thriller thats reported to be a reimagining of Steven Kings, Misery starring herself, The Weeknd, and Barry Keoghan, shes reportedly playing a Anne-esque pshyco stalker. Then there is A24s dark comedy Death of a Unicorn which she co stars with Paul Rudd. Lastly is a drama called Klara and the Sun directed by Taika Waititi in which she plays the titular character Klara who Is a human looking Robot. And of course Wednesday Season 2 which is fiming now.

I don't see the connection between Daemon and Aegon's near death at Rook's Rest. How did Daemon lead to Aemond being placed as Regent? Which is shockingly bad writing, btw. The Hand rules for the King (that's one of the jobs) when he is absent, so Cristin, or Dowager Queen's take on Regent for her children, so Alicent. Your main warrior and dragonrider would be taken out of battle...just won the last battle for you, you wouldn't put him as regent. I like watching the show, but the writing has been nonsensical, even if it is GRRM's fault.

Actually the main character Paul Mescal plays is grown-up Lucius, nephew of the late Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) and the son of Lucilla (once again played by Connie Nielsen). After the events of the first film, he was sent by his mother to live on the northern coast of Africa to shield him from the corruption and violence of Rome. He grew up there, but as an adult, he finds himself thrust back into Roman life - and the arena - when forces led by General Marcus Acacius (Pedro Pascal) invade his home in Numidia and eventually take him captive. Inspired by the story of Maximus, as depicted in the original 2000 film, Lucius resolves to fight as a gladiator while opposing the rule of the young emperors Caracalla and Geta.

The 2 brothers in complete gold armor are the Co-Emperors, which are the real kings in Roman History, Emperor Geta and Caracalla. One of them said "They Will Eat War" and the end "The Gods have Spoken"

Russell Crowe is not in this movie at all, in fact he kind of has a grudge against Ridley Scott for making a sequel to the original.

Denzel is "Macrinus", a power broker who keeps a stable of gladiators. He works as an arms dealer and provides food and oil to the armies in Europe.

And a note on Daemon: I am extremely disappointed in the direction we are going with his character. George RR Martin even said Daemon (in the books) is his favorite Targaryen because he’s a grey complex character. In the books, he isn’t being this weird man child. He is cut throat and unhinged but not in a weird insecure way. he just a lil crazy ahaha. Daemon was beloved in Season 1 and I’m so disappointed. I did hear that one of the writers of some episodes said she doesn’t like Daemon and I think her bias is really showing.

Love the conversations and the appreciation of slow burn episodes that focus on politics and character development.
